Brockshill looked after my mum for 3 month after she had a fall breaking both her arms. The staff are very kind and caring. It is a shame I cant name names as some are Angels. The home is managed very professionally and the manager was alway available to me. I was alway impressed with how she was aware
of every detail to do with my mothers care.
Rooms are bright and nicely decorated but it would be good if drinking water was available from the taps but that is my only niggle. A very caring place run by a professional caring manager & team.

Initial contact with this care home was reassuring, the staff were friendly and professional and we felt reassured. Our first impressions were good and continue to be so. Very positive attitude with a can-do ethos, have only observed good standards of care and we are more than happy with all aspects
of care/support we receive.

The availability of the manager is excellent. Always willing to listen and sort problems out. All of the staff are very kind and caring. One of the carers has been so lovely with my husband giving him a hug and reassurance. Even a touch of the hand helps him, and too many to name who have been so nice
to him, can't remember all their names but they have all helped enormously. Thank you to them all.

My mum joined St George's in October 2021. Since then she has been extremely well-cared for and the staff have been incredible, always going above and beyond to make sure mum's needs were met.
A lovely atmosphere has been created in the home and the carers are without exception friendly and cheerful.
Mum now sadly passed away, but we will always be thankful to St George's for making her last years as positive and comfortable as possible.
Can't thank them enough.

Peaker Park Care Village

from Jeremy W (Husband of Resident) published on 28 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My wife was admitted to Peaker Park in February 2017 after being discharged from the psychiatric hospital where she had been confined because of her erratic and sometimes uncontrollable behaviour, which was put down to Alzheimer's. Up until the pandemic, I could wander with her freely through the building
and gardens and even take her down to the pub for a coffee or cider. She survived the pandemic but gradually became less and less mobile until she had to be confined to her bed for her own safety until her death in December 2024.
During this time, I visited her once a week on different days, and always, she herself and the bedding were immaculately clean. I was usually offered coffee when I sat with her. Whenever there were concerns about her health, the staff were totally supportive and I was allowed to stay at her side.
I cannot thank the team on Clipston highly enough.

My mum spent the last 3 years at St George's. She was treated with respect and dignity by all the staff. She had severe dementia and was not always an easy resident to deal with but the staff were always extremely supportive and patient with her. We were always kept informed of any changes or concerns
regarding mum no matter what time of the day or night. As a family we are very thankful for the love and care provided to her in the last few years of her life.

Stoneygate Ashlands

from Karen K (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 November 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

From the day my dad arrived at Ashlands, he was treated with such kindness and respect. He was extremely well cared for with the staff making sure he was always washed, shaved and dressed. My dad was a huge Leicester City fan, as was a member of staff who even provided my dad with a radio so he could
listen to the match when City were playing, which was so thoughtful. My dad was only supposed to be at Ashlands for two weeks respite, but unfortunately, his health rapidly declined and he spent his last few days there. His end-of-life care was wonderful, my family couldn't have wished for him to be in a better place.
All the staff there are amazing and very special people.
Thank you Ashlands for making my dad's last days so peaceful and comfortable.

from Sharon R (Daughter of Resident) published on 25 November 2024

Mum was a resident at Charnwood Oaks for 8 years before passing away last month. Clearly this has been a lengthy journey for mum and although there's always room for improvement, I really want to give a massive shout-out to the carers and nurses for their sheer graft and dedication to the residents,
as well as their welcoming attitude towards visitors. I have no idea how they get through one 12 hour shift, never mind day after day. It was so helpful being able to pop in to see mum at any time of the day or night and to have a chat with whoever happened to be on shift. The staff became like second family over the years! Thank you all so much for your care of mum and friendship to me.

My wife was a resident at Charnwood Oaks for a couple of years until she sadly passed away very recently. During her time here, unfortunately, she became totally bedridden and the care, attention and dignity she was given by the carers throughout was absolutely fantastic. Whenever I visited, no matter
what time of day, I was always fondly greeted by all of the staff and nothing was ever too much trouble. I was always kept fully informed of how my wife was doing and I have to finish by saying that Charnwood Oak staff have all helped me too tremendously throughout this time to which I am very very grateful for.

Our family friend stayed at Peaker Park for a respite stay. Whilst she was there she became a lot more sociable and happy and loved the care staff that looked after her throughout the day and evening. We thought she would struggle coming out of her own home environment but she found it to be home from
home. She was safe, comfortable, happy and cared for. We couldn't fault the care home at all, the staff wherever you went were helpful, happy, and very understanding.
Highly recommend Peaker Park Care Home.

After a fall and infection which resulted in a hospital stay. Dad was discharged from hospital to Peaker Park, initially on Discharge to Assess. We quickly realised that this was the best place for his ongoing personal and care needs.
The staff were always professional and caring, quickly building
a strong bond with Dad. I always felt that they were focused on providing the best care for his needs.
Eventually, as his health was deteriorating the Peaker Park team on Gumley, looked after him with love and sensitivity, allowing us access at any time in his final weeks and days.
