The Manor House

from Karen L (Sister of Resident) published on 17 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My brother loves living at The Manor.
His care needs are met and staff have been responsive to his changing health needs.
The food is good, and a variety is offered. My brother is involved in decision-making with regards his room decor. I have found the manager and carers caring and they involve me
in my brothers care.
Staff take the residents out on trips regularly for socialisation and treats

Most of staff very lazy and in my eyes don't care for residents. This is the residents homes and should have all the comforts like they did in their previous home all I can say is I hope and pray I don't need to go in one it is heartbreaking.

I am very pleased with the care that my Brother is getting now! He is a part of the home and the staff now know him. He goes out on visits. He is now a part of the staff. He is encouraged to take on various tasks to keep him feeling wanted. He goes out on various visits to the seaside or to coffee shops.
His room is tidy, he has a shower now every day! All in all, he is well looked after. I can now relax!

The Mount

from Glenda D (Mother of Resident) published on 13 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our son moved into The Mount in July of 2024 after living in a previous care home for 12 years. What a difference and wonderfully so, supportive, kind and good honest care to all of their residents, this we have witnessed. The staff are happy in their work often singing and interacting in a normal family
style, in fact our son states without hesitation - "They're fantastic, and they're my family, yes I love it here, it's brilliant". We are both very observant and keen to see fair and kind handling, including retaining privacy and dignity for all, we've been pleasantly surprised and feel so relieved, to find a genuinely well-managed care home. They really do care.

The staff at the home, especially the management and senior staff know the residents and their individual needs well. My daughter has been cared for well following a hospital stay and ongoing treatment. My active involvement has been welcomed. There have been good efforts to improve the home's environment
and activities over the last year which would benefit from more proactive and timely maintenance at a corporate level to support the staff at the home.

Was dead against homes, and promised I would never put a family member into one. But since coming to see my husband in here, it has changed my mind. Very caring and supportive with both of us, would definitely recommend to others, love the staff and all they are doing here.

I am very pleased with Hill Top Care Home. The staff are all amazing, they all go that extra mile to ensure all residents are well looked after. The food is very good, a good menu every day, they cater for everyone's needs. The staff are more like friends now, I can go visit and leave knowing my relation
is in very good hands. The manager is there always on the ball. I really cannot thank the team enough for all their hard work. Well done to the team, superstars, all of you.

The care home takes very good care of my sister's needs, some of the staff are more like friends than carers, they keep me informed about all aspects of her care and they listen to any input I may have, importantly she is very happy there.

Review of

Phoenix Park Care Village

from Judith A (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 24 April 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

In the few weeks, my mother-in-law lived here, she received the very best care from staff who clearly enjoyed being with the residents and who gave the family a warm welcome whenever we visited. Communication from senior staff was both empathetic and professional, we were kept informed of any observed
changes. We were impressed with the immediate action taken when she required medical intervention and were kept informed at all times. The home environment was clean and comfortable, and additional resources (eg alarmed crash mat) were provided when needed. Outside services (hairdresser and chiropodist) kept her self-image high, and other activities occupied and stimulated her mentally, (sing-a-long). Overall, the family were extremely satisfied with the provision in this care home.

from Sally B (Cousin of Resident) published on 3 April 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My cousin has been resident in the home since Christmas 2023. He has been very settled, loves his ensuite room, says the food is excellent and the staff very supportive to all his needs. Each time I visit the home is clean and tidy. I am always greeted by friendly staff. Nothing is too much trouble
for any residents observed by the staff. The facilities are excellent. Staff knowledgeable and caring. Food looks appetising. I am notified of any changes in my cousin's health (I am his next of kin). I am very happy with his placement.

Lowfield House Nursing Home

from Michael S (Father of Resident) published on 13 March 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My daughter stayed at Lowfield House for just over a week. The stay was emergency respite organised by social services to give my daughter's main carer a much needed break. The staff I met were wonderful, caring and genuine people who obviously enjoyed spending their time caring for my daughter. Since
her return home, she has continued to improve, with her eating, sleeping and general behaviour. Thank you all, so much!

The Fairways at Phoenix Park has been caring for my mum for nearly 5 years, and the staff there have become like family to all of us. The love and care she receives daily is incredible and difficult to put into words. The respect they show mum, and her beliefs, and the support they give her to be able
to follow them are overwhelming. I feel I have a wonderful communication pathway with them. They contact me whenever needed and honestly have allowed me something that I have never had while mum was alone or in hospital that I will be grateful for the peace of mind! I trust the team at Fairways with my mum's life and care and will never be able to thank them enough! Thank you.

Emergency respite was required for my daughter. I did not know what I was to step into for my daughter's first time stay in adult care.
I was greeted with warmth by the manager at the secured entrance. Lowfields is decorated nicely (more is underway) and clean in facilities. My daughter's room suited
her needs and an airflow mattress was provided. The manager went through all the plans. Staff are warm, chatty and approachable. My daughter's diet was catered for and nursing care needs attended to. Thank you!
