Staff are very caring and keep me up to date about my wife. The room is kept very tidy and my wife does not seem to not have any problems with staff.

My Sister has been a resident at Link House for nearly four years. It was very hard to put her into care, but she always says if she has to be anywhere she would choose Link House. She has kind and considerate care from everyone. The entertainment ladies try everything they can to keep her occupied.
I always get a very warm welcome every time I visit

Review of

Pemberley Manor Care Home

from N T (Son of Resident) published on 15 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Dad has been in Pemberley Manor since September 2024 having spent 8 weeks in hospital following a stroke which left him with severe communication difficulties both verbal and written. Before the stroke he wasn't the most social person spending most 99% of his time in his house and so he has not formed
many relationships with other residents but has formed strong friendships with a couple of the carers. During my visits I have been impressed by the welcome I get from all the staff and now have chats with the management, care, maintenance, activity and catering staff not just about my Dad but also other members of my family.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for our home. It is lovely to hear that Dad has formed strong friendships with some of the care team at Pemberley, we understand that building meaningful friendships is very important to making Dad feel settled and secure. It is also great to hear that you feel welcome upon your visits to the home. I will ensure that your kind comments are shared with the team.

It has a new manager and I have just been to a meeting and the manager was speaking to us, and also welcoming us to ask ? it was very informative and we felt that we were listened to. Pemberley Manor Care Home

from Alexandra J (Daughter of Resident) published on 17 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has been in Pemberley Manor's care since December 2024,
At Pemberley Manor mum has blossomed, she has the confidence and a new found strength to walk, with aid.
She couldn't do this before, she was alone and scared and the carers couldn't give her the time she needed.
She now has a couple
of friends, the staff arranged for them to meet, they have things in common and look out for each other, my mum has needed this so much.
Pemberley Manor hold many functions for the residents and their families, it has a very homely feel and as a relative you are made to feel included and welcome. The staff can never do enough, very helpful and
understanding.
I appreciate this sounds too good to be true, and that's exactly how I thought at first, but it really has been like this and to know my mum is impressed with herself in walking to see her friends, makes my heart swell with happiness. Mum has finally got some normality and independence in her life.

Reply from Lauren Digby, Customer Relations Manager at Pemberley Manor Care Home

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a heartfelt review for our home. It's so lovely to hear that you feel as though Mum has blossomed since being at Pemberley Manor and has now found the courage, strength and confidence to enhance her independence and mobility. It is so important to build meaningful friendships and create bonds with likeminded people, it is comforting to know that Mum has created a special bond with another resident. I will ensure that your kind comments are shared with the team.

First of all, I want to appreciate the admin office of the home. The office works fantastically because there are no "no's" in that office. They are always supportive, there are some select carers who have a passion for this work. You will always see it in them that they care. Medical team are also
trying their best but no one can get 100%. Kitchen are good in the area of their specialisation but not in all dishes such as African dishes. The new manager has really made so much impact since she assumed office. There are tremendous changes. The cleaners are also working so hard.

Marling Court Care Home

from Rosamond D (Cousin of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My cousin is being well looked after and, most importantly, he says he is happy where he is. He enjoys the food and his body weight is normal for his height whereas he was very underweight before he moved to Marling Court. He says he likes the staff and carers and is very happy with how he is looked
after.

Woodlands House Care & Nursing Home

from M C (Sister of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My sister was transferred to Woodlands after an eight-week stay in hospital following a stroke which left her paralysed down her left side. She was very weak and suffered from mild autism. From day one she was made welcome, shown kindness and love, she said they were her friends. Whenever myself or
family visited all staff greeted us with a smile, nothing was too much trouble, and I felt safe to leave her in their care. Sadly her stay was short and after a week she was put on end-of-life care. During her last day she was treated with love and care and kept comfortable. The staff also looked after me offering tea, coffee and a shoulder to cry on when needed. After she passed she was treated with respect and dignity. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Woodlands to anyone, they made my sister's last few weeks as comfortable as possible.

Carter House is such a well-run care home. I am confident our mum is happy, well looked after and in safe hands. The staff here are truly amazing and work so hard. The staff interaction with the residents is truly amazing, and as a visiting family member I am always given such a warm welcome. There
is always so much for the residents to do thanks to the activity co-ordinators, who ensure that all residents are included in the various activities. Unlike many other care homes where staff turnover is constant, here at Carter House they have a steady group of staff. Thank you to everyone for making us, as a family, feel confidence in her care.

from M L (Wife of Resident) published on 18 December 2024

When my husband entered the care home 18 months ago, things were very difficult for both of us.
Thankfully, after several weeks, things changed dramatically for the better.
All the staff are always pleasant, polite and caring. It is a wonderful atmosphere to walk into.
Staff not being available some
weekends to answer the call bell for entry. Also, sometimes there was no-one at weekends to take a phone call from the office in the morning, when I tried to phone around 9.30am.
Thankfully this problem has now been resolved.
I have nothing but praise of all the staff, whatever their role.
