Care staff are kind, caring and helpful.
There are too few staff which has resulted in compromising situations for both of my parents. Management are fine unless crossed: The remote control for my father's was lost by the care home in November. No responsibility was taken. My father recently died
and was unable to have the solace of music during his demise. I met with a member of staff to discuss my father's End of Life Plan. The information was not updated on any system, resulting in an uncomfortable and unnecessary phone conversation with an emergency doctor to put a plan into action. Management are unresponsive on this and other issues. Important improvements are needed.

Bingley Park Care Home

from D S (Husband of Resident) published on 4 April 2025

My wife has spent 2 weeks at Bingley Park so that I could have respite. She was very well cared for, particularly as she has dementia and is often very uncooperative. The staff were always very kind and helpful even under some very trying circumstances.
Since that time my wife has been back for a further
2 weeks in February and has received a further free week which was much appreciated.
So full marks to all at Bingley Park.

from Sharon A (Daughter of Resident) published on 2 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The care shown to Mum as been brilliant. To see the change in Mum is so good to see. It is not only the family that has noticed the change. I attended a hospital appointment at the hospital diabetic foot clinic. The doctors were amazed at just how well her ulcers were healing since moving from another
care home. The overall appearance of the skin on her legs and feet is so much better now that they are being cream regularly like they had ask. Only a month yet so much improvement in that time. It is so good to see the manager and care manager ( Julie and Jack ) do shifts nursing and caring and not sitting in office all the time. They are leading a great team. Thanks go to everyone for making Mum so welcome and cared for and bring the smile back. Sharon Asher

Cedar Falls Nursing Home

My Dad has been in Cedar Falls since last June. He arrived in a very poorly state, both physically and mentally. Over time his condition has improved in improbable ways, both physically and mentally. His own determination is no doubt a large part of that, but it's been nurtured by the outstanding care
within the home. Particularly the care staff themselves and the nurses, who show genuine warmth and affection for him, as well as professionalism. I'm very happy with Dad's care at Cedar Falls.

My mum was previously in a great care home, but increasing dementia meant we had to find a more suitable new place. We were concerned that it would be hard to find a placement that matched the standards of her previous home, but we need not have worried. Abbey Wood Lodge has proved to be excellent.

Words cannot adequately express my thanks for the care given to my mum at end of life.
The entire team, because that's what they are, a superb team, showed the utmost care, respect and kindness. From the carers, front of house, housekeeping, management, domestic including the chefs, activity coordinators
- everyone I met treated my mum and me , my sister and other family members with extreme kindness, respect . I was overwhelmed by their care. Every member of staff was cheerful, made time to explain what was happening, always knocked before entering mum's room, always asked and explained to mum what they were doing as they cared for mum. My sister and I were fully included in mum's care plan. The staff were so supportive of us . Their kindness and gentleness, especially when mum died made a sad and difficult time a little more bearable.
My one regret is that mum didn't move here when she was fitter as she would have enjoyed the wonderful programme of activities on offer.

I attended Valentine's afternoon tea with my mother, a resident at Clover leaf. The 'cafe' room was well decorated in a valentine's theme and delicious cakes sandwiches cut in a heart shape and jam + cream scones were served. The staff were wonderful, particularly one member of staff who put a huge
amount of effort in to the event. In addition a personalised gift was given to me hand made by my mum which was a lovely touch. Thank you.

My father needed respite care following a hospital stay. We found the facility to be clean, friendly and welcoming, whilst remaining professional at all times.
We were welcomed as family to visit at any time. The staff were caring and considerate of my fathers situation. I would like to make a special
mention of the chef and kitchen staff, who adapted the menu to my father's needs.
