My Mother came to Cliveden Manor for two weeks respite care after a couple of falls. Her accommodation was ideal and the services and facilities offered were excellent. Without exception every member of staff we encountered were welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful. I have no hesitation in recommending

My friend has been living in Cliveden Manor for a year. He gets fantastic care by the committed staff. It seems to me that everyone, staff and residents alike are happy to be there. I often take our old dog along and she is welcomed and has to spend time navigating the lounge, being greeted by all.
Now when we arrive her tail starts wagging and doesn't stop till she leaves.
During this month, my friend moved rooms. Staff carried out the offer process, agreeing the move and executing it so well. My friend is happy in his new place.

Moved my father in for a period of respite care, following a substantial procedure in hospital. The home is really comfortable, welcoming and spacious, a cut above everywhere else that we looked. The team are all superb, reception, administration, nursing and care, restaurant. Everyone is friendly,
attentive and supportive. Very easy and responsive to deal with as an organisation. They have looked after dad superbly, to the point that he has now decided to stay put rather than go back home.

Thank you so much for your kind feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Cliveden Manor and our team have been able to support your father during his recovery. It's wonderful to know that he feels comfortable and well cared for with us and he made a decision to stay for a long term.

Review of

Cliveden Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

from Natasha V (Goddaughter of Resident) published on 4 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My godmother moved to Cliveden Manor when her previous care home closed down. Even though she has a degenerative condition, her mental faculties appeared to improve after the move, which I attribute to the excellent care she has received. She is in The Willows, which looks after residents with dementia.
There are multiple activities every day, entertainers performing and frequent trips. The residents go on boat trips from Marlow, are taken to Kew Gardens and even go ice-skating. Wheelchairs on the ice! I believe these many stimulating activities are greatly beneficial in maintaining cognitive function and engagement with one's surroundings.
The medical care is managed well through a local GP, with relatives being invited to an annual medication review.
The staff are warm and caring, showing a real affection for the resident and impressive attention to detail. I have recommended Cliveden Manor to friends, as it is the best care home I have visited.

Reply from Gabriela Smith, General Manager at Cliveden Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

Thank you once again for taking the time to leave such a thoughtful review. We'll continue to strive to provide the best possible care for your godmother and all of our residents.

In December 2024, I contracted Cliveden Manor Care Home to see if they could offer respite care to my father who had been taken ill abroad. The team worked closely with me as my father was repatriated. They went out of their way to ensure that he was successfully transferred to Cliveden Manor on Christmas
Eve. It was an entirely patient-led process. No red tape. No massive forms. It was a great relief to me and my family to have him settled before Christmas.

Mum had been to visit the home a few times before becoming a resident and it was a good opportunity for her and I to get to know the staff and home. Her move was unexpectedly from hospital so the familiarity helped her settle in. The staff are very caring and meet Mum's needs, allowing her to take her
time and do things at her own pace. I feel she is relaxed and safe.

Thank you for your kind words, we always encourage families and potential residents to visit us as often as they wish; never underestimating the enormity of their decision. It is wonderful to hear this approach has made your mum's move in with us easier and that she is now relaxed and happy in her new home.

The experience of initially visiting Beaconsfield Heights Care Home and then the rather challenging "moving in" day for my mother was made significantly better by the kindness of the team at the home.
Through her first six months, I have been impressed by how smoothly things operate and how she has
settled in and seems much more relaxed.
The multitude of different activities is a definite highlight.
The security of the dementia floor is also a great weight off my mind, in terms of her safety.

Reply from Wendy Healy, Client Liaison Manager at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home - Avery Collection

Many thanks for reviewing our home, we are so delighted to read how the team have been there to support and reassure your mother from the very beginning and it is wonderful to see her now relaxed and settled into her new home. Thank you, once again, and we will as always share your kind words with the team.

I have found the care home very welcoming, efficient, caring and the environment very friendly and comfortable. When I have raised any queries on behalf of my sister, while she was staying for 2 weeks respite care, they were dealt with efficiently and quickly. My sister and I have now decided that she
will stay permanently as a resident. They have made her so welcome, responded promptly to care needs and the client liaison manager has been particularly kind, understanding and has gone the extra mile to make sure my sisters care and comfort is a priority.

My mother lived at Cliveden Manor Care Home from February 2023 until she passed away in September of 2024. I want to take the opportunity to thank all the wonderful staff at Cliveden Manor for the excellent care given to my mother over the last 20 months and especially during the last 3 months. Although
she strongly resisted going into Cliveden and was very angry with me for 'locking her up', she genuinely came to love living there and calling it home. I think the reason she loved it so much was the exceptional level of care she received. I know she felt a great deal of affection for all of her caregivers and the nursing staff. The team there is really outstanding, and I couldn't be happier with the care she received. We should all be so lucky as to live in a place like Cliveden Manor for our final years! Since I live in the US, it was a great comfort to me to know that my mother was loved and taken care of. The lovely staff felt like family to me and mum.

Reply from Gabriela Smith, General Manager at Cliveden Manor Care Home - Avery Collection

My mother has been living at Cliveden Manor Care Home for 3 months now. She is always saying what a lovely home it is, and that all the staff are very helpful and friendly. Mum has recently changed rooms. The client liaison manager, was extremely caring, patient and considerate, helping mum to find

My Uncle was admitted to Milton Court as palliative care only. The care he received there was amazing and every member of staff treated him with empathy and dignity and made his last days as comfortable as possible. The nurses were excellent, caring and very supportive towards my Uncle and us family
members.
When he passed away, the compassion shown by every member of staff was lovely and the empathy shown stood out to us all.
The guard of honour, when Uncle was leaving, was something we will never forget and was a fitting last memory of his stay there.
We were always made welcome, and the Home Manager showed great understanding of our suffering at the loss of our loved one.
We will miss visiting the home, where we were treated so well, and everyone was so welcoming.
Thank you to you all for everything you did for Uncle and all of us too, much appreciated.
Keep up the good work everyone, a credit to your profession.

My 95-year-old mother moved into Beaconsfield Heights Care Home at the end of July after a difficult year or so in her own home. Even with carers visiting three times a day, she was finding it increasingly hard to cope. It was so hard for her to move from the house she lived inf or sixty-three years
but after and initial, very wobbly few days, she has settled into her new life. She loves all the activities, the company, the food and is very happy she is being so well looked after - as are we! Thank you to all the staff who have helped my mother through this difficult period of transition.

The staff at Milton Court are amazing. My stepdad had dementia and became bedbound, he stopped eating and drinking. The staff offered him whatever he wanted to try to get him to eat and drink something. They all took so much care to keep him happy and comfortable. When he passed away suddenly, all the
staff were so kind to me and my sister and my husband. All the staff are amazing. I could not ask for better care for my stepdad. If it wasn't for the staff at Milton Court I don't think my stepdad would have lasted as long as he did. So I send them all a very huge thank you for being so kind and supportive to me, and my husband and sister.

My aunt has recently moved to Beaconsfield Heights Care home.
I looked at a number of care homes for her but this was the one I could see her settling into easily.
The staff have really treated her as an individual, really getting to know her. The staff are lovely, warm and attentive.
I had quite
a lot of help preparing her room from the very helpful handyman.
The team are great. We've had a boat trip on the Thames at Henley, opera evenings and bingo etc.
We've seen a big improvement in her quality of life.

Dad has really settled into his new life at Beaconsfield Heights Care Home. The memory care team are fantastic, using the information shared about my dad prior to move-in to support him during those early days. He is now thriving, eating well, enjoying the company, activities and tailored trips out.

We looked at several care homes and Milton Court was the only one recommended to us. A friend's aunt had been a resident and was very happy, so that inspired us with confidence. The staff are kind, caring and always friendly. Sadly my mum has declined over the years but her care has been carefully adapted,
