I cannot recommend Avery enough. My 87 year old father stayed for a month's respite care and had a wonderful experience. The home feels like a 5 star hotel and is very clean and luxurious. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and kind - 'nothing is too much trouble for them'' as Dad said. Everyone
greeted him by name and took the time to chat to him when they passed.

Everyday there is something different and stimulating for the residents to do. As a relative, every visit was a lovely, rewarding experience.

Always a difficult decision to trust your loved one into someone's else's care but Will at Wandsworth Common Care Home helped make this decision easy. My husband needed respite care and we looked at many different care home but immediately on entering WCCH we felt at home. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere
like a lovely hotel. The staff were kind and personable immediately and my husband relaxed because it didn't feel like he was a patient but a welcomed guest. During his two week stay he was looked after like royalty, so many different activities socialising with the other residents. Any opportunity for a get together of which there were many. Although initially I felt it hard to relax I was reassured by the immediate response to my emails which enabled me to enjoy my break. I will not pretend it's easy but I know I need to look after my own health and finding care for my husband that I can trust has enabled me to plan ahead for regular breaks for myself. Thank you WCCH c u soon

Mum went to Adelaide Care Home for respite care. She stayed for just over four months. During this time she was very happy. All the staff were very kind, caring and professional. They always kept us up to date/informed about mum's health. If I had any concerns about mum's health they were very attentive
and got the appropriate professionals involved. As a family, we had complete peace of mind that mum's welfare was being looked after. They organised everything including medication. Thank you so much Adelaide we have no qualms about putting mum into the home as a permanent resident when the times comes.

My mother moved into Avery in November and her memory and faculties are deteriorating. She us having excellent care at Wandsworth, the staff are patient, understanding and respectful at all times and trained well in managing residents expectations and changing moods. The home is nicely decorated and
the surroundings comfortable and welcoming.

My mum was looked after at Adelaide Care Home for almost 3 years until she passed away in December 2024. I cannot fault the care and kindness she received during her battle with dementia. Thank you to all the staff for your professionalism, and also for the care and support you gave my dad on his daily

My mother spent her last two and a half years in Wimbledon Common Care home. All measurable things: cleanliness, food, facilities are excellent. But most outstanding and far more important is the quality of the staff. Everyone I met was kind, cheerful and concerned to be doing the best for my mother.
I find this so impressive given the difficult nature of their work at times. All such problems were met with enormous good humour, which served to cheer me up on occasion. I know that my mother felt safe and happy in this home, which is not easy when you have to give up your own home and independence. When she needed to see a doctor this was easily manageable and she also had dental work done on site. The reception staff are also delightful and Hannah is a friendly and approachable manager. I remain delighted with our choice.

Avery Wandsworh was a lifesaver. My father was ill and hospitalised while visiting us from abroad and he couldn't fly back. They were extremely helpful and accommodating in a very stressful time for the family. From the nurse visit to do the assessment, to the daily day-to-day activities, they took
great care and encouraged my father back to health and for him to be able to fly back. They welcomed my mum and my whole family to the home.

My husband has advanced Alzheimer's and moved into Adelaide Care Home in April 2024. The management and nursing staff caring for my husband have been first-class. The staff treat my husband with the utmost care and dignity. He is always clean and happy when I go to visit him regularly. I'm also kept
well informed by the nursing staff of my husband's well-being. Choosing a care home for a loved one is always a difficult decision. My husband has settled very well and the staff are friendly and caring, nothing is too much trouble. I am pleased I made the right decision in choosing Adelaide as my husband's new home.

Few staff, often none around to see. Can often not do something as they need a member who is on break. No cups in the kitchen, no apple juice, which I would consider basics, so inefficient not to have them.
Not taken to activities (music), which needs to improve. Not enough water in lounge machine
for all to have a hot drink.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for Hampstead Court. We take all feedback as an opportunity to learn and take corrective action when something is not right. I can confirm that we have reviewed the staffing allocation to enable more visibility of staff on the floor, and would also be happy to meet with you to discuss other methods for accessing staff, and around ensuring your loved one attends chosen activities. Avery Hospitality Services Manager has reviewed and in process of correcting all catering related issues, and will continue to monitor this. Please accept our apologies that the Home has not met the standard expected. The team at Hampstead Court are dedicated to ensuring we meet the highest standards and we hope the actions taken will improve the quality of service for you and your loved one.
