Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Barnet Grange Care Home offers an exceptionally high level of care for the elderly and is admirably unique within its sector. All staff are polite, considerate, friendly, helpful and respectful. The management team are simply superb, which is hugely reassuring. The nursing staff lead by Sarah and her
team, are both excellent and completely professional.
The home is extremely well designed to cater for all residents needs and the accommodation is terrific. Barnet Grange is enhanced by its lovely garden, which is truly an asset, being perfectly tranquil. The facilities are first class and the activity plan is comprehensive.
I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Barnet Grange, as in my opinion, it is unparalleled!

My cousin has now been in the Wandsworth Common Care Home for nearly a month and their care has been exemplary. From the welcome she received on the doorstep at her arrival to the on going medical and personal care, the nursing staff have all been charming, helpful and extremely competent. Her room
is lovely and the common parts of the home seem delightful.
She has along way to go but is making slow but steady progress in the hands of the staff and their recommended physios. A huge relief that she is in now living in such a pleasant environment.

My 80 year old mum has been a permanent resident for 2 months moving from her own home into the assisted living part of Frognal. All the staff were exceptional with the move, providing advice and being patient as the move took some time to persuade my Mum. Facilities are excellent - gardens are stunning,
café/bar in the communal area means a drink and snack are always available to residents and visitors. Additional lounge/kitchen spaces on other floors are beautifully decorated and great spaces to get away for some privacy if needed. Bedrooms are very clean and modern. Mum enjoys the daily activities, entertainment and trips in minibus and has made some good friends already in other residents and staff. She very much enjoys the food and says all the staff are very kind and good fun. Staff have provided further information re Mum's care and needs in detail when asked and if there is anything that I need to be made aware of, an email or call has been received from one of the team.

My Father aged 85 came into Wandsworth at the end of November 2024. He has Parkinsons with LBD. He deteriorated quite rapidly but with the extremely kind, caring and professional attention he has come back to his old self if not better. The home has a wonderful friendly atmosphere and lovely space
for residents to enjoy. Management are always willing to help out with any issues and requests and have been a huge support to the family as well as Dad.
The outside space is limited but they have a Walking Club on the Common which my Father is now enjoying.
We are so delighted with his care and support.
The staff are truly wonderful.

Mum was happy and settled during her time at Adelaide, from arriving during Covid restrictions, where the dedicated staff did their very best to accommodate her and us to visit when possible. Mum was treated with kindness, compassion and loved by all the wonderful staff who loved and cared for her and
who made us feel very welcome when we visited and gave us the time to share any questions we needed. The dignity and compassion shown to Mum and the support and sympathy to us towards and during Mum's peaceful passing, we are so grateful for and will always remember.

I stayed at the home for 2 weeks, convalecing after an operation. It would have been nice to have pictures on the all, not just picture hooks. But the worst problem was the number of insects, probably silverfish, in the bathroom. They were on the floor, in the hand basin, on the towels, and on my comb.
I had to move my toothbrush and comb into my bedroom instead of keeping them in the bathroom. I had to lift my feet off the floor when I visited the toilet in the night because of insects running over the floor. I reposted the problem, but nothing was done. I hope I didn't bring any home and I'll let you know if I did.
A pity, because most other elements of the home were brilliant.

I cannot recommend Avery enough. My 87 year old father stayed for a month's respite care and had a wonderful experience. The home feels like a 5 star hotel and is very clean and luxurious. The staff are incredibly warm, welcoming and kind - 'nothing is too much trouble for them'' as Dad said. Everyone
greeted him by name and took the time to chat to him when they passed.

Everyday there is something different and stimulating for the residents to do. As a relative, every visit was a lovely, rewarding experience.

Always a difficult decision to trust your loved one into someone's else's care but Will at Wandsworth Common Care Home helped make this decision easy. My husband needed respite care and we looked at many different care home but immediately on entering WCCH we felt at home. It has a warm, welcoming atmosphere
like a lovely hotel. The staff were kind and personable immediately and my husband relaxed because it didn't feel like he was a patient but a welcomed guest. During his two week stay he was looked after like royalty, so many different activities socialising with the other residents. Any opportunity for a get together of which there were many. Although initially I felt it hard to relax I was reassured by the immediate response to my emails which enabled me to enjoy my break. I will not pretend it's easy but I know I need to look after my own health and finding care for my husband that I can trust has enabled me to plan ahead for regular breaks for myself. Thank you WCCH c u soon

Mum went to Adelaide Care Home for respite care. She stayed for just over four months. During this time she was very happy. All the staff were very kind, caring and professional. They always kept us up to date/informed about mum's health. If I had any concerns about mum's health they were very attentive
and got the appropriate professionals involved. As a family, we had complete peace of mind that mum's welfare was being looked after. They organised everything including medication. Thank you so much Adelaide we have no qualms about putting mum into the home as a permanent resident when the times comes.
