My mum in law has settled in well. She joined Horsefair in November 2024 and loves it. Within the first few days she said she wanted to stay. She joins in with most of the activities and loves chatting over tea with the other residents. All the staff are fantastic and nothing is any trouble and they
all greet her with a cheerful hello.

My dad has been in Hempstalls Hall for over two years now and we visit him often. I want to say how welcome we feel whenever we go in. We are invited to join in all events and activities and given wonderful refreshments. This week we tried Mexican food for Mexico Day and there are always beautiful cakes
available made in house by the great chefs. It's great to be able to share these fun times with my dad. The home always looks spotless and smells lovely, with fresh flowers on Reception. it's like a boutique hotel!
My dad originally wanted to try the home as he was lonely living on his own, and he always says "I couldn't be in a better place." he feels safe and cared for at all times. He's had a few health problems due to his age and the response of the staff, getting doctors and paramedics to him and checking on him at all times have been brilliant. They keep us informed at all times. Dad is so happy and we couldn't be more grateful for the amazing care he gets at Hempstalls Hall.

Mum has been a resident at horse fair since September 2024. We have found that she has settled in almost immediately. She has found her room first class and the care she receives from the staff is again first rate, they are always friendly and smiling - and nothing is too much trouble. The quality of
food is excellent and mum always complains there is too much food.
Mum has received regular medical assessments which i'm pleased with.

My mum has been in Horsefair for nearly a year now. I always thought that it would be awful visiting her in a care home, but how could I have been so wrong. From the minute you walk in to the place, it's like walking into a hotel. The receptionist's always greet you with a smile on their faces and all
the staff do an amazing job. When I visit it is like one big happy family and my mum has settled in so well. Thank you for looking after her.

Mum has been in Horse Fair for 6 months now and in that time all the staff have been so helpful and understanding, not just for Mum but for the family as well. The support they have provided Mum through all of the events and activities have been fantastic. Mum has so many laughs and jokes all day with
us and the staff.
I have stayed for lunch a couple of times and the food, cakes and coffee were amazing.
We are kept informed about Mum's care and any needs that crop up - we have a monthly residents meeting where I have the opportunity to discuss the activities at the home and the good work the staff do.

The staff at Horse Fair Care Home made it a seamless transition for my mum moving in on Christmas eve.
They could not of made us more welcome and supported all of us through this difficult time.
The rooms are nice and large with en suite facilities and since we added my mum's furniture and pictures
in place it is now a home from home for her.
The activities and entertainment they provide daily is second to none, with staff constantly at hand.
My mum now feels safe and appears to be slot less stressed & seems relaxed than her last few weeks at home and in hospital.
The staff are all friendly and helpful and there is a real family environment, we would recommend Horse Fair to anyone.

My father has been cared for at Rowan Court Care Home for nearly three years before he died in February 2025. He was always treated with dignity and with thoughtful care. He clearly welcomed the attention of care and nursing staff. He enjoyed heartily the meals, and engaged staff with good humour. The
care during the last month of his life was sincere and exemplary.
I cannot speak too highly of the home.

Bridge Manor Care Home - Avery Healthcare

from A W (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Placing my dad in a residential home was the hardest decision we have ever had to make. I visited so many homes trying to determine which one would offer him the highest level of care, respect and dignity (seeing above and beyond the wallpaper and soft furnishing). From the outset the level of customer
care we received from one staff member in particular was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. What stood out for me the most was how the staff engaged with the residents during our visit at meal time. My dad has now been there a week and what a difference we have seen. His mobility and more importantly his general demeanour has improved significantly. He is always pleased to see us but also settled when we leave. The staff are so lovely and caring and the atmosphere is of general happiness. I am so very happy with the choice we made and would happily recommend this home to anyone who wants the best. Big thanks.

Reply from Debbie Rowley, Manager at Bridge Manor Care Home - Avery Healthcare

Thank you so much for this lovely feedback, it was also a pleasure speaking with you and hearing the lovely comments about the team. I am glad Dad has settled and he has already become a member of the Bridge Manor family.
