The food is good except roast beef on Sunday can be very tough, so especially difficult for residents with swallowing difficulties.
It would be helpful if a DVD Player could be available in the lounge at all times and carers trained both to find channels with programmes of interest to the resident
on the TV and how to use the DVD.
Carers to make sure the resident is well seated and comfortable in their chair when transferred from wheelchair to chair.
Carers to take care when dressing resident that tops are not torn stretching them too hard.

When faced with a difficult decision of how my mum's end of life care should be managed, a visit to Wren Hall and home visits by a senior member of staff reassured me that this was the right place for Mum's final weeks. From the cleaners to the maintenance team, from the cooks to the office staff, from
the carers to the incredibly skilled nurses, everyone we met over her 4 weeks was kind, caring and went the extra mile. When Mum entered her final day I wouldn't have changed a thing and Mum's passing was as beautiful as it could have been. The presence of the relative's room was completely invaluable. Thank you.

A great place for mum to be. The staff look after mum so well and nothing ever seems to be too much. I don't know how we'd be able to cope without all of their support. They keep us really well informed about mum and we really appreciate their care for her.

My husband has been a resident since December 2023. I have nothing but praise for all the staff who work so hard under challenging circumstances. Today we had a lovely Valentine's "fish and chips "lunch for residents and visitors, the room and tables were beautifully decorated with roses, petals, red
hearts, and the tasty food was accompanied by a bottle of alcohol free wine on each table.
My husband had his 90th birthday last month and once again they helped to make it a day to remember.
I visit every other day, am always made welcome and kept up to date with his progress.
The family feel very lucky that we are able to see him being so well cared for at this stage in his life.

My mum is not an easy person at times, but she always looks clean and tidy and is involved, when she allows it, in all the activities that are laid on regularly. She is encouraged with hot chocolate and treats and xmas was lovely with a singer and decorations.

From the very first day which was in August 2024 my husband has been looked after in a kind and professional way.
The staff always ensure that they look after him in a way that meets his needs and do their best to encourage and help him in a friendly way. I am always made to feel very welcome when
I visit (which can be any time day or night) and this helps to reassure me that he is getting the best of care.
I know that my husband's behaviour can be challenging and the expertise demonstrated by the managers and staff proves essential to his health and wellbeing.
Thank you to all who care for him at Church Farm Nursing Home.

Mum-in-law has been at Church Farm for nearly 3 years now. She is always well cared for. The home is always spotless. Being in the closed social media group, the family are updated with pictures of outings and events that have been happening - very useful for those who do not live nearby.
All the carers
are kind and caring.

Times have been very difficult for my mother in recent years, with the loss of her husband and her deteriorating mental health, she had become very aggressive and nasty to those close to her. However, since being at Church Farm from the beginning of September this year, she has shown a remarkable improvement
in her behaviour and attitude, and visits to her now are pleasant instead of being something to dread. I put this down to the amazing specialist care she is receiving and would like to thank the staff wholeheartedly. I have also been very impressed with the activities that are arranged for the residents, I attended the fireworks evening, and it was a great success and lovely to see mother smiling.

Dad moved to Church Farm in August this year and from day one he has received the very best care. From the assessment and moving in process, the management of his complex needs and the day to day care he receives, the staff and managers do an excellent job. Everyone has taken the time to get to know
dad and the carers work hard to meet all his needs in a friendly and professional way.
Thank you to everyone involved.

The staff in Hawthorn House deal with a complex and varied set of issues but provide a caring and loving environment for their residents. They form a deep understanding of each individual resident and do the best they can to care for them and to enrich their lives. The residents are treated with respect
and I witness small acts of kindness every time I visit.

When I was going through the endless list of care homes, I was very underwhelmed with what was on offer in the local area, that was until I came across Church Farm at Rusticus. I was made to feel welcome, the girls on the receptions were so lovely and helpful, the two managers made me feel at ease,
it was so easy to talk to them, they had so much knowledge, both had a caring attitude and I felt at home straight away. It's bright, specious, with lots of things to do. I was shown around, the cafe, cinema and garden is such a special place. Every visit is a pleasure. The food, especially of late, is exceptional, rooms are clean, it smells fresh, of course there are times when dementia patients can make messes but it's clean and tidy and very homely. I am involved in care and get contacted about changes in care needs and the plan of living. My relative has thrived and the staff are amazing. It's a wonderful place. I can't wait to move in!

Mum moved in to Church Farm at Field House after a prolonged hospital stay and predating that had lived in her own home all her life - a massive move.
It has taken time for her to adjust and settle but she really has and she absolutely loves the food and gets extremely good attention
No one wants
to have to see their loved one in a home- but it's peace of mind to know she has safety 24:7 and situations can be addressed so quickly. Shout out to the GP next door too- Thank you.

My husband was welcomed from the first day. It was not easy for him or the staff. In the following weeks, he has settled in very well thanks to the huge support from all the staff. The personal interests of the residents are considered and catered for. The activities provided are excellent and all residents
are invited to participate. Special mention must be given to the website. So good to be able to follow activities, for regular visitors as well, as those unable to visit. Also good for residents as having the camera in front of them, makes them feel special. It is not just the residents who are made to feel special. Visitors are always greeted or welcomed and offered refreshment. Thank you Church Farm.

Wren Hall is friendly and welcoming. In Woodnook Lounge the staff work as a team, interacting well and setting the home for the lounge. When not involved in a specific task they will spend quality time sitting with a resident. Activities are provided and the residents are given the independence and
freedom commensurate with their needs. Personal care is discreet. Nursing and day-to-day care are of the highest standard. A visit is always a pleasure.

The family members and residents are cared for with much dignity and friendliness but in a very professional manner. The residence is kept very clean and tidy by excellent cleaners. The catering is perhaps a little inconsistent but the food is wholesome and varied. At about 3-month intervals family
members or friends are invited to have excellent special meals with their loved ones. There are lovely extensive gardens where family members can be taken around and can observe the trees and flowers. This home has a reputation of being the best for many miles around. No wonder it recently had a waiting list of 88!
