Wilfred Geere House

The staff were very helpful and caring. Very clean environment. The physio was excellent and managed to get my husband back on his feet after he had been in hospital. He is suffering from Parkinsons and all staff handled things very well. It was the first time he has been in a care facility and he realised
that he wasn't fit enough to come home but the time he was in Wilfred Geere was a positive experience and we cannot recommend it too highly.

This is my mum's 3rd stay at Wilfred Geere, and the staff are always highly attentive and caring. The rooms are well set up with a comfy hospital bed and a lovely leather padded armchair. Your own dressing table, wardrobe, and wash sink, plus that all-important digital TV with good volume (or headphone
socket if better) and easy-to-use remote control. The food is great and plentiful, and you can have something to eat in between meals if you are hungry and tea or coffee by the bucket load.
It's very clean and well-maintained. Highly recommended.

Laburnum Lodge

My dad broke his arm in 2 places and couldn't cope alone at home. He was sent to Laburnum Lodge to recuperate and get help with daily care. He also has vascular dementia. Immediately on arrival he was made to feel welcome and cared for. The staff have been wonderful throughout the month he has been
there. They have been unfailing kind, courteous, helpful, understanding, professional and most importantly have always treated my dad with dignity so that even when he had to have help with showering he didn't feel upset or embarrassed. I think the staff do a wonderful job and wish they could realise the difference they make to residents and their families.

My Dad went for his first visit for a week's respite, the staff are all lovely and very friendly and welcomed my Dad as soon as he arrived offering a coffee. This can be quite an emotional time for a family leaving a loved one, but they made it a smooth handover. When Dad returned home a week later
he was really well, clean and looked refreshed, with a big smile on his face and settled into being back home very well.
I would like to say a big thank you to all the staff for their care of my Dad and would have no hesitation in sending Dad again when needed.
