I visited a friend in Sandiway Manor on Saturday 27th April. She has only been a resident there for a matter of 2 weeks, but how pleasing it was to see how content and comfortable she seemed to be. The atmosphere in the spacious and very welcoming warm lounge was absolutely delightful. All the staff
were so kind, and helpful with smiling faces abound. Nothing seemed to be any trouble. My friend told me they had all been taken out to a local ice cream farm just a few days earlier which she had enjoyed immensely, as she had never been before. I shall certainly look forward to my next visit.

Dad moved to Sandiway Manor in January and has settled in very well. The staff are kind, caring, helpful, always there if you have any queries, can't fault it really. The home-cooked meals are excellent too. Nothing is too much trouble, thanks to all the staff. 10/10.

My mum attends daycare twice a week and occasional respite care. Everyone is very welcoming and she always receives a very warm reception from both staff and residents. She enjoys her time at Sandiway Manor and enjoys the wide variety of activities and craft-making. She enjoys the delicious home-cooked
meals, especially the desserts and cake. On the occasions that she stays for respite, I know that she will be safe and well being looked after by the very caring staff members.

Saniway has supported Mum and our family through a very difficult period in our lives. Mum feels cared for, and we are welcomed every time we visit. The daily activities are fun and inclusive, and the food is excellent! We are kept informed about Mum's progress with monthly reports/Facebook photos,
and if there are any other concerns, then we are telephone and kept up to date. In return, we can voice our concerns and be confident that action will take place as a result. Sandiway is in every sense of the world - home.

Until February last year, my brother had been trying to manage alone at his home 90 miles away. We knew by our visits that the standard of his day-to-day living was not ideal but he wanted to stay at home. However, in an assessment visit from the community nurse, we were firmly told that my brother
had to be taken into care quickly. Fortunately, Upton Grange Care Home was able to accommodate him at short notice.
Since then, he has been very happy in Upton Grange. All the staff have been so kind and helpful to him, from producing answers online to some of my brother's odd, random questions, to finding particular TV programmes and series for him to watch. The other very pleasing result of my brother living in Upton Grange is that his overall mental condition has so improved with the social contact and the good variety of activities provided. But best of all is the peace of mind that my brother is being looked after, that he is safe and in good hands.
Thank you, Upton Grange. Highly recommended.

My mother has Alzheimer's Disease and is now unable to live independently. She moved in with my family and I about 5 months ago; having worked in the NHS for over 30 years, I understand that finding the right place of care for your relative is really important.
Upton Grange is home from home and the
jewel in the crown of care homes in the Macclesfield area.
The daycare they offer is amazing, I drop Mum off for her breakfast then I pick her up once I've finished work. She always has a smile on her face and says what a lovely day she has had, and how wonderful the food is.
The activities coordinator is so full of life and enthusiasm, the programme of activities is varied, engaging and stimulating. The carers all genuinely love their roles, you can see this in the way they chat and interact with the residents.
I cannot recommend Upton Grange enough, it has allowed me to balance my work, my family and caring for my mum. The Upton Grange Team really feel like an extension of our family.

Mum joined the Upton Grange family for a period of respite care after an operation and both mum and ourselves were made to feel very welcome. Upton Grange provides a homely experience and it is very apparent that the lovely staff have got to know Mum well and she is very well cared for. We felt very
supported when we made the difficult decision to make Upton Grange a permanent home for Mum.

One of the reasons I chose Upton Grange was the visibility of the activities via the Facebook page. Mum held an active life prior to her operation and one of my worries was that she may well be bored. However, the activity co-ordinator provides a weekly varied plan and actively engages with all residents on a daily basis. Mum always takes part and enjoys everything on offer. As a family we look at the Facebook page and can see what Mum has been up to

All staff at Upton Grange are professional, caring and lovely doing their very best for all their residents, for which I thank them for.

Trepassey

My 96-year-old mother moved to Trepassey from her retirement flat in early June 2023. She was made to feel welcome from the moment she arrived, settled quickly and from being frail and lacking in appetite is now thriving and eating healthily again. Her smile and 'wit' is restored!
Trepassey feels like
a 5* hotel – every facility available, is spotlessly clean and has a beautiful garden setting with sun terraces. Staff (all staff) are professional in all that they do – but alongside that professionalism, there's always a smile, real humanity, genuine kindness and appropriate humour in their engagement with residents/family/visitors.
I find it a joyful and uplifting experience to visit Mum and to be in such a well-managed and positive-minded environment. Thank you.
I'd be happy to live at Trepassey one day...

My mum moved into Upton Grange in September 2018, following a prolonged period in hospital. From the outset, nothing was too much trouble for the staff and Mum settled in very quickly, making many friends. She particularly enjoyed the social side of living with people again. The food and housekeeping
were also excellent. Sadly, due to ill health, Mum moved away from Upton Grange, into a nursing home in July 2023. We highly recommend!

Trepassey

My mother has been at Trepassey Care Home for a couple of years now and having moved at 89 from a detached house in a different part of the UK, we were anxious about how she'd adjust to residential life. Trepassey care has been great for her. She can't ever not grumble but the grumbles are so minor
that it keeps her going! The most important asset Trepassey has is its staff without whose cheery nature and obvious fondness for the residents, it wouldn't be quite the same.
I have recommended Trepassey to friends who now also have a family member in the home and like me, are very reassured that their loved one is in good and caring hands.

Having lived independently into his 90s, our father arrived at Upton Grange in January 2022 as a respite resident after a spell in hospital. From the start of his stay, we were so impressed with the caring friendly staff and by the daily craft activities, which to our amazement, our father joined in
with much enthusiasm, having lived quite a solitary life at home. After a brief try at returning home, it was realised he needed to transfer to a care home permanently, and it was his own choice to select Upton Grange as the home he wanted to move to, as he had been so happy during his respite stay. He has continued to benefit from the care and attention of the lovely team at the home and often comments to us how nice he finds them, which is very comforting. A new entertainment coordinator has recently joined and has further transformed life for the residents, with a very varied daily programme led with much enthusiasm, as well as individual attention and encouragement.

I can only review what I have seen and been told about by my father who was a resident at Trepassey for just over 2 years. At no time did I or my two sisters, ever have any reservations about the care provided by each and every staff member. To me, the staff (and I mean all staff) felt it was not a
job, but a happy team looking after all the residents' needs, no matter what. I cannot speak too highly of their care, professionalism and kindness. The building was always spotless, nothing was too much trouble for me and my father (who in the latter months could be a little demanding), and above all, they had time for Dad just to talk to him about the old days and to make sure he was comfortable and did not need anything. It did not matter what time of the day I called, there was always a warm greeting from everyone and everyone knew Dad, how he was doing and what he had been doing. That to me meant he was cared for properly by people who cared.

My dad stayed here for 6 months until he passed away. I did not think he would settle in a home but Upton Grange proved me wrong. The staff are fantastic, very caring and my dad loved the food. He said every time I visited how great it was and how well they looked after him. They got him to join in
lots of the activities which was a joy to see, he even baked for the first time in his life at 91! Highly recommended.

Mum has been to Upton Grange for respite care. Having never had any experience dealing with any kind of residential/respite care arrangements I was immediately put at ease just talking things through with the staff about how the home operated, the care given and reassured all the time I was organising
my mum's discharge from hospital. We were welcomed by lovely warm staff, a cup of tea and an instant feeling of relief that everything was going to be OK. Nothing is too much trouble, the chef took notes of mum's favourite food, her room was clean and well organised. There are lots of activities that residents can join in, several carers have had me in tears, they treat Mum just like she's their mum too. I always know Mum is in excellent hands. A lovely home that feels like home.

My father moved here in November 2021, I've found the home to be very friendly and very clean, the gardens are well kept, all staff make you feel welcomed. They also do a lot of activities, food always looks excellent, what I do like is they have pets to visit which my father loves. Their standards
on covid are high, which is great to see.

My brother has been a resident in Upton Grange for over 10 years and has always been very happy and contented living there. However, in June 2021he caught Covid, despite all appropriate measures being put in place by all staff in the home. My brother did not want to go into hospital and the staff, to
their credit, agreed to nurse him. Their care was exemplary, I was fully informed at all times and staff were very considerate towards me during what was a very difficult time.
Although my brother has recovered from Covid, he still needs a high level of care, and this is being provided with courtesy, consideration, and love.
Covid has placed many restrictions on visiting, but staff reacted to the challenges and organised suitable areas for visits to occur safely for family and residents. Prior to Covid, there were always activities available and it is very nice to see them gradually occurring again.
Upton Grange is well maintained, as are the grounds and staff are always very welcoming.

Despite her reservations (and ours) about respite care, our Mum thoroughly enjoyed her stay at Upton Grange. She had nothing but praise for her room, the food and the staff. She also enjoyed going out in the lovely gardens. The Manager kept in touch to let us know how Mum was doing which was very reassuring.
Mum is looking forward to her next visit in October.

My friend came to Upton Grange suffering from severe migraine, depression and chronic anxiety over 12 months ago and due to the love and wonderful care of the staff, has become a changed person. She loves her food and the delicious and varied food the chefs provide is a real bonus. The joy of walking
in the beautiful gardens has helped her recovery too and seen her become much more like her old self. We cannot thank Upton Grange enough. The staff are always willing to "go the extra mile" and she has nothing but praise for them and their manager.
