Moorend Place Nursing Home

from Frankie H (Daughter of Resident) published on 19 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Moorend Place and all their wonderful staff have been a godsend over the past 4+ years. When Mum's dementia deteriorated during Covid, we wanted to find a residential home that would always put Care and Kindness first. At Moorend Place this is definitely a priority. They went over and beyond to settle
Mum into her new surroundings and have always been there to support Dad too.
Mum passed away in Dec 2024 just a few weeks after our Dad joined her at Moorend. The staff couldn't have done any more to support us through this extremely difficult time.
Our relationship with Moorend Place now continues with Dad. As another difficult chapter begins for our family we know Dad is in safe hands.
As my sister and I both live abroad, good communication is essential. The manager and staff are exceptional in this regard. We have built up a good relationship with the home over the past 4 years and this provides us with much needed peace of mind.
A massive thank you to you all.

Reply from Emma Smith, Manager at Moorend Place Nursing Home

Thank you for your ongoing support of Moorend Place. We were honored to have cared for Mum and it has been a privilege that you also trusted Dad in our care.

from A P (Wife of Resident) published on 19 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

As the wife of a resident at South Park, I am very happy with all aspects of his care. My husband is very well looked after bu the team of carers, nurses, management and the behind-the-scences staff, eg cleaners, laundry, activities staff chefs, kitchen staff, maintenance man, etc.
My husband is treated
as an individual with respect, kindness and consideration. The staff are very hard-working, very polite and cheerful.
It is a great relief to be confident that my husband is in very safe hands, and in such a caring home. Thank you!

Dolphin View Care Home

from J C (Brother of Resident) published on 18 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Excellent admin support - very good to my bother and to me. Excellent handyman - put up his picture, TV set etc. Excellent and very caring, capable nurses giving him all the care my brother needed to be readmitted to hospital frequently, now that he gets the right care he has remained well. His room
is small but he has a view and there is a day room close by. One of the nurses ironed on all his name tags. The cook made him a lovely omelette when he did not find the menu tempting.

Reply from Vicki Rees, Regional Operations Manager at Dolphin View Care Home

Mum became a resident in April 2024. She has settled in well and is looked after to a good standard. Her room is comfortable and well maintained. Mum has interactive with others in the home which she never did at home.

My mam has been at Hylton View a few months and settled better than I thought she would in a care home. It's such a friendly environment the staff are lovely. The other residents are smiley and dressed well. The manager is approachable and friendly

Review of

Moorend Place Nursing Home

from Maria R (Daughter of Resident) published on 12 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mum has been a resident at Moorend Place for 18 months now and it really does feel like home from home.
The staff are professional but still manage to treat everyone as family. They take the time to come and chat with me and my mum when I visit and always check how I am doing too.
Each time I
visit I witness genuine love and kindness from the staff towards the residents around us. If my mum is feeling sleepy - especially in the afternoon - they will make her comfortable in bed for an hour instead of leaving her to sleep uncomfortably in her chair - which I think is lovely.
The space is utilised well. There are 3 lounges and 2 dining rooms, which gives it a cosy feel, instead of one large room. I join my mum for lunch sometimes and the food is really good (especially the puddings).
The activity staff are incredible and make a great effort to involve everyone as much as they can and make them feel special and important. The calendar is always busy with events.
A lovely home.

Reply from Emma Smith, Manager at Moorend Place Nursing Home

Thank you for your review. We will pass this onto all the staff. Our activities team are working on more events over the coming weeks so there will be more to add to the calendar.

Without a Care Home my mother wouldn't be here today! We chose Ashlea Court after a short stay in respite care there and has been there now for 2 years as of this month! The staff are friendly and are approachable with any concerns. Relationships have been built up between the care team my mum and myself
which allows me to feel that she is in the best place for her current care requirements. Thank you to all the Ashlea team.

Generally a good and caring atmosphere in the home. The majority of staff seem helpful, patient and sympathetic to residents needs. I appreciate how busy the home is, but I'm not so keen on Mum being put in her night clothes too early.

Care home is exactly what Primrose Lodge is! It feel like a home, where understanding and consideration is natural and effortless. The care given is genuine and tangible, but also done with fun and vibrancy where appropriate. I am so happy my dad is at Primrose Lodge, because he is happy there!

The home has improved considerably since the introduction of a new manager last year! As I see on a daily basis, staff are clearly committed to doing the best job they can. They are always respectful and genuinely caring. All staff, including nurses, carers, kitchen and cleaners work hard and provide
very good support. I feel reassured that my wife is in safe hands.

Rosemount Care Home

from Leah C (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 6 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I couldn't thank the staff enough for how they have welcomed and cared for my grandpa since he was admitted, the 2 months he spent in hospital I could see he was going downhill, spending his days in bed and not really eating.
But since being at the home he has come back to life and I have the staff
and manager to thank for this.
He seems so much brighter and happier, I was expecting this process to be stressful for both grandpa and our family, but it has been so easy and smooth again thanks to the manager and her staff, could not recommend this home enough.

Reply from Honor Keatley, Group Business Development Director at Rosemount Care Home
