Hylton View staff where amazing to my mum, looked after her really well, place was spotless her cloth's always wash brilliant. Care workers always on hand with fresh drinks and snacks, meal choice was good and well
prepared. Management were brilliant when my mum reached her end, I am forever grateful.

The home has improved considerably since the introduction of a new manager last year! As I see on a daily basis, staff are clearly committed to doing the best job they can. They are always respectful and genuinely caring. All staff, including nurses, carers, kitchen and cleaners work hard and provide

from Leah C (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 6 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I couldn't thank the staff enough for how they have welcomed and cared for my grandpa since he was admitted, the 2 months he spent in hospital I could see he was going downhill, spending his days in bed and not really eating.
But since being at the home he has come back to life and I have the staff
and manager to thank for this.
He seems so much brighter and happier, I was expecting this process to be stressful for both grandpa and our family, but it has been so easy and smooth again thanks to the manager and her staff, could not recommend this home enough.

Reply from Honor Keatley, Group Business Development Director at Rosemount Care Home

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and 5* rating! It's so lovely to read about your grandpa and to know he is thriving at Rosemount.By writing your review it has enabled the team to read about the hugely positive impact they have had, not only for your grandpa but also for you.Moving someone you love into care is a tough decision but I'm so glad your experience has been such a positive one. With best wishes, KeatleyGroup Business Development Director

The Evergreens Care Centre

from W H (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My Mam has been in Evergreens since February 2022. Her move there wasn't planned but circumstances dictated she couldn't stay at home. It hasn't been an easy journey to get her settled but we've had good support from the staff and manager.

The staff definitely know my Mams needs which are at times

challenging but they deal with it well and in a very caring manner.

I feel confident my Mam is getting looked after well and feel quite confident to bring up issues as I feel necessary. I am told regularly my Mam is 'resident of day' and is there anything I want added to the careplan however I rarely do as these issues are usually dealt with when I raise them anyway.

The staff also get to know family members and are very friendly to us as a family.

There have been times when I've needed to escalate things which I have done by contacting the manager direct. I do this with confidence knowing he will deal with it and its always sorted quickly.

Reply from Honor Keatley, Group Business Development Director at The Evergreens Care Centre

Thank you so much for sharing you and your Mam's experience of The Evergreens. It's good to read how well you feel supported by the staff and management. It's so helpful for people new to the care seeker experience to read a first hand account that is so honest. My experience and that of my aunt has been nothing but positive. My aunt is supported to be as independent as she can - when this at times has fluctuated then staff have changed that support to match her needs. I am kept informed of any changes to my aunt's presentation immediately so I feel reassured
about her being in a care home - also she sees Evergreens as her home where she has friends and she sees the staff as friends too. I feel fortunate that she is somewhere she feels happy.

Reply from Honor Keatley, Group Business Development Director at The Evergreens Care Centre

Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. The fact that your aunt sees The Evergreens as home and the staff as friends is testament to the amazing work they do and support they provide. By writing this review you have not only enabled our staff members to read what a significant impact they have but you've also provided a vital window into life at The Evergreens for new care seekers. With best wishes, Group Business Development Director

Hylton View Care Home

from Ashlea M (Granddaughter of Resident) published on 5 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Nana spent around 5 weeks in Hylton View Care Home. The staff in here go above and beyond. They made us feel like we were all at home in what was a hard time. They treat my Nana with great dignity, care and respect. They excelled in all her needs and nothing was a problem. They took the time to get
her settled and make sure she was comfortable. Staff were professional but also down to earth. We could not be more greatful.
A extra special thanks to the Manager, who was always chatting and checking into my Nana, as well as making her laugh! He also spoke honestly and professionaly to family making the process smooth. My Nana sadly passed away in the care home. We could not be more greatful to this place and the staff for making my Nana so comfortable.

Arranging the transition of loved ones into the care of others is a difficult and emotionally draining experience. Having recently been through this, I will forever owe a huge debt of gratitude to all the staff and carers at Valley View for helping ease any expectations in order that both my parents
could enjoy precious time together. Also, the help and accommodating attitude following my father's passing is worthy of note and much appreciated. Undoubtedly the best asset in Valley View are the care staff. Truly these people are angels in human form and I thank each of them for their compassionate care.
