Overall Experience

My dad has settled nicely into Wynyard Woods Care Home. The staff are really caring and friendly. I consider them as my 2nd family, as I'm always here lol. We have all worked together, and Dad's medications are really helping him now, so his mood has lifted and he is starting to enjoy the simple things

in life, watching TV and talking to some of the residents.

Overall Experience

My mum has settled into life at Wynyard Woods really well and is happy to now call it "home".

Millbeck is warm & friendly with lovely staff, good food and cosy rooms. I'm really happy with the care my mom receives. We feel she is happy there and we feel welcome each visit. Brilliant outdoor area and activities.

Overall Experience

Dad spent over 12 months at Skelton Court. He settled in very quickly and developed a connection with all the carers very well. He was encouraged to participate in the many activities held on a regular basis, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
He was provided with excellent care, meals and companionship

throughout his stay.
During his final few days, he was treated with the upmost care, courtesy and dignity from everyone involved.

I visit my friend on a fortnightly basis, all the staff from the managers to the care team at millbeck care home amaze me they are so friendly, helpful and very compassionate nothing is ever too much trouble, my friend has lived at millbeck for a number years now due to a deteriorating health condition,

it is such a comfort to myself to see my friend happy and healthy but more importantly very well cared for from the staff, my friend states the meals are wonderful with plenty of choices and very tasty I have to agree as I myself have stayed for meals by pre booking before visiting my friend the day before, my friends room is comfortably decorated with a spacious room and an excellent view of the garden and maintained to the highest of cleanliness, activities are very well planned and displayed throughout the care home with the staff doing some excellent fates throughout the year, I would highly recommend millbeck to my friends and family if they ever required a care home facility.

Overall Experience

First impressions were actually okay but there's a clique amongst staff here and if a resident is of the more challenging nature, then Staff who are part of the clique are really quite antagonistic and argumentative towards the resident. Staff not in the clique are really quite kind, caring, patient

and understanding. My relative didn't like only being allowed one bath or shower a week and felt intimidated by Staff on more than one occasion. There is a strong smell of urine at this home which I think could be eliminated with the upgrade of hard flooring and protective furnishing.

Feedback regarding our staff has always been very positive and we have an all team approach to ensure the wellbeing of our residents and to support their loved ones as appropriate. All our residents are offered a minimum of two baths/showers per week unless requested otherwise by the resident. Our housekeeping team have robust rotas in place to ensure Kirkley Lodge is regularly cleaned. We take this feedback very seriously and would be keen to discuss this further to ensure we can understand and implement actions accordingly. My door is always open or please do call me anytime. Overall Experience

My Auntie became a resident in Kirkley Lodge following an admission to hospital and prior to that had been living alone, where she was not coping and had become quite depressed.
But since being in Kirkley Lodge, she is thriving on the care and attention she receives. She has a great relationship with

the carers and both her and I have had nothing but praise for all the staff.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Kirkley Lodge to anyone looking for a care home.

I have a very good friend living in Millbeck and I have not seen her looking so happy & healthy in many years. Staff at Millbeck treat her with dignity & respect at all times. The home always smells lovely & fresh at all times, the activities are outstanding & staff go above & beyond during fetes at

Christmas & in the summer, always involving residents. From management to house keepers, they are a fantastic team.

Overall Experience

Care home appearance is very nice. Internal decor bright and clean. Care staff are very caring and appeared to enjoy their work but at times a bit stressed due to times when there does not seem to be enough staff to care for all residents, especially on the dementia level. Food at times does not look

too appetising, especially to someone who likes (no frills food) i.e. basic egg and chips, meat and veg. Couple of items, glasses/wallet have gone missing and not recovered. Find this hard to believe as all residents on level 1 don't go anywhere so would have expected them to have been located somewhere on level 1. Cost is excessive for food and accommodation but care from staff good and caring.

Overall Experience

My dad has been a resident in the care home for nearly a year. He has settled in well and both myself and my sister are very happy with the care he has received. We are always informed by staff if there have been any issues/incidents involving our dad. If we have asked for anything to be done for dad,

the staff have usually acted straight away. The staff are all very kind and caring to all the residents. The activities they have are amazing. My dad seems to love them. The home is very clean, the laundry is clean and fresh, the food is wonderful. It is a very warm and welcoming home.

Millbeck is such an amazing care home when my nana first went into Millbeck I was so sceptical and worried but I've never felt such contentment with her in there the staff are gorgeous and so welcoming we always feel at ease especially with the manager we know her already we're so lucky to have Millbeck.

Overall Experience

Overall a very nice care home but the rooms are getting shabby. Feel they are due some redecoration. Also if we could know the door code to get in would be better instead of waiting outside in the cold for someone to open it. Also my mum says needs more variety in the food options.

However, there are always alternatives available for our residents. The safety of our residents and colleagues is our priority, so our main door remains secure and requires a colleague to open this for visitors. At busier times, this may take a little more time. I'm always happy to discuss all aspects of our care day-to-day life at a mutually convenient time.

Overall Experience

Mum has been at Kirkley Lodge for over two years now and is very happy there. The reason being is that Kirkley is a lovely place and the staff are exceptional with the care and compassion they show. Not just to Mum but all the residents.
Mum loves the company of the other residents along with the activities

provided and she likes a laugh with the staff. We as a family know Mum is being looked after which is a relief to us all. Thank you Kirkley.

Both my Father-in-law and Mother-in-law are in the home, they both receive the most excellent care from every member of staff. They are treated like a member of their family and shown the same love.
