Limegrove

from Les W (Son of Resident) published on 19 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father came to Limegrove early this year. Although he had struggled to settle in first of all. The staff have been fanastic to help this process run as smoothly as possible. Everybody seems so friendly and helpfull and are all very professional in what they do. There are plenty of activities each
day, which I believe he is joining in with and also the staff are incouraging that. Limegrove itself, is absolutley spotless for cleanliness and the Chef in the kitchen seems to go that extra mile with his meal plan etc.
As a family, we know our father is being well cared for and that gives us all peace of mind.
If ever there is a problem, we are notified very quickly .
Thank you, to all the staff.

On behalf of our family, we are very grateful for The Beeches. Our Mum has been a resident for over two years. During that time all of her healthcare needs have been handled with dignity and respect. From the laundry lady, chefs, to all of the supporting staff, team leaders, and managers, we can not
thank you enough for the wonderful care shown, on a daily basis, to out mother, and to the extended family.

West Hall

from James O (Resident) published on 11 March 2025

In Oak Lodge, lift has been out of action twice for more than 96 hours within last 10 months, inconveniencing residents and staff.
The maintenance contract should have specified 24 emergency cover and availability of all parts within UK. Management failed to keep residents informed of progress.
Bedmakers
should be retrained to leave 8 inches of top sheet overhang at bed end to allow 4 inches to be tucked below mattress.

Reply from Katherine Mahoney, Manager at West Hall

Thank you for taking the time to review West Hall and we are sorry to see the issues highlighted and thank you for taking the time to discuss these. The lift in our Oak Lodge was operational however there was an issue with the button on the top floor, which required a member of our team to support residents to use the lift. I appreciate that this may have been frustrating. The lift has now been repaired. I will speak to the Oak Lodge Manager to ensure that our housekeeping team make residents' beds as highlighted. I'm always happy to discuss all aspects of care and day-to-day life at West Hall.

Our parents joined the Beeches for respite care, but subsequent hospital visits have necessitated a longer stay. They have been looked after amazingly well and all of the care staff have not only been totally professional, but have also made the Beeches feel like a home from home.
We would not hesitate
to recommend the Beeches to anyone looking for a safe, caring home.

My mother has had a tricky 12 months with losing her balance and confidence in walking. The Beeches care staff have magnificently handled all these low times, including falls and regular ambulance/paramedic intervention, through to rehabilitation and recovery which has been much appreciated.

My husband spent one week in respite care and as he has communication difficulties and can neither read nor write it is hard to get his true thoughts on his stay. Speaking with him daily on his direct phone line he always seemed very happy, cheerful and extremely positive. There was never a derogatory
comment about anything. When I collected him at the end of his week he said he had really enjoyed his holiday and would be happy to come again! From my perspective he had been well cared for in his personal appearance and clothing. Overall very happy.

West Hall

from Doris P (Resident) assisted by family/friend published on 25 February 2025

I initially arranged for a three-week respite at West Hall but extended this twice, staying a total of six weeks. During this time I had an excellent and rewarding experience. The staff were efficient, hard-working and most importantly, very caring. The facility was clean, well-maintained and had a
very comfortable feel throughout its numerous rooms. Organised activities were well attended and very interesting. Overall I highly recommend West Hall to anyone who has a need for residential care, not only for respite, but for those people needing full-time care as well.

Limegrove

from Iain M (Son of Resident) published on 25 February 2025

My father has settled in well over the last 4 months and the standard of care has been excellent. I feel there is a good level of staff, who are attentive, kind and positive. My father has had a couple of medical incidents since he arrived, which are to be expected from someone of his age, and I have
been very reassured by the adherence of all the staff to what appear to me (as a non-expert but very interested party!) to be clear, comprehensive and effective protocols/ procedures. Furthermore, the level of communication from the staff has been very positive and reassuring for me. I am happy to recommend Limegrove without reservation.

During her time, Mum joined in with many activities and went on trips out. The whole experince was very positive
and would have no hesitation in recommending Moore Place or returning if Mum needed long-term care.

My mother was a resident at Linwood for 19 months. The care she received from the wonderful manager and staff was simply first-class. I feel comforted to know she had spent her last few months clean, happy and continually cared for at Linwood. Mum always had a smile on her face whenever I visited. I
would not hesitate to recommend this care home to future guests or residents.

Review of

Glendale

from Vivienne S (Sister of Resident) published on 31 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My sister was a resident there for about 15 months. She passed away on Christmas Eve. The care was overall very good.
After she passed I noticed a lot of her clothes were missing. I was very disappointed as they were quite serviceable and could have been donated. A dart trophy was also missing which
was upsetting as it was her pride and joy. Some of the present staff, unfortunately, are not very dynamic and I feel they should be trained better in Elderly Care. A couple of male carers didn't even manage a smile or introduce themselves.

Reply from Debbie Reed, Manager at Glendale

Thank you for taking the time to review Glendale and we are pleased that you rate our cleanliness as excellent. We are sorry for the loss of your sister and our apologies that our normal high standards of service have not been met. I have discussed your feedback regarding clothing and your sister's personal possessions with our housekeeping team. I have also spoken to our team about your comments and we are always happy to receive feedback to ensure our care and aspects of day to day life are to our residents' and their loved ones' satisfaction.

Elizabeth Court

from R C (Daughter of Resident) published on 30 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our dear dad was at Elizabeth Court for just over 18 months before he sadly died this Christmas. A lovely home with a big welcome, we always felt like it was a big extended family. The staff always greeted you by name, with offering tea and biscuits and there was always a hug and comfort offered if
needed. Dad had dementia and Parkinson's so was heavily reliant on the staff for every day living. They always treated him with respect and in turn he rewarded them with one of his smiles or a thumbs up. We as a family will be forever grateful for the care and love they showed to us. A big thank you.

Linwood

from A B (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum came to Linwood in October 2023 and has settled extremely well, more than we ever thought possible! All staff have been kind, caring and very attentive; it is clear that they take the time to get to know the residents and their individual needs and preferences. They make the effort to understand
each other as a person and treat them as they would their own family. Once when passing a room close to Mum I overheard a lady talking to the resident inside and assumed it was a family member, I was surprised to see it was a staff member, her manner was so warm and caring. The home is very approachable answers every query I have promptly, and contacts me with updates. The home is decorated to a high standard and conducive to a calm and pleasing environment. Mum's room is spacious and pretty with a large en-suite shower room. After years of angrily telling me she would never go into a home, she now thanks me for finding this place for her! She also loves the food, amazing for a picky eater!

Thameside

from Margaret S (Daughter of Resident) published on 29 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My Mother has been a resident at Thameside for over 2 years.
Thameside is a lovely care home with lovely caring staff. The residents are treated with care and compassion as well as lots of good humour and many, many smiles. Both the Manager and Assistant Manager have an open door policy and without
fail address any issues raised with them, however small. Mums behaviour was challenging but was always treated with kindness and good humour. Over the last two and a bit years, I have never seen any resident be coerced or treated with disrespect. The home has super, helpful receptionists and lovely admin staff, all of whom are welcoming. Thameside has a happy atmosphere and is light and bright. Well done Thameside. Thank you all for your hard work, care and humanity.
