Holmpark

from Julia W (Friend of Resident) published on 20 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 4.0 out of 5

My friend has been at Holmpark for a couple of years now and has always been well looked after, is happy and settled. The staff take care to get to know the residents and there is a pleasant atmosphere around the home. Residents are free to spend their time in the lounge or in their own rooms and in
the summer can also use the garden with supervision. My friend always enjoys the food at mealtimes and sometimes there are extra snacks in the afternoon which residents enjoy. The managers are pleasant, obliging and helpful as are the admin staff. The home is clean and well maintained. People work well as a team. The building is a converted house and it maintains something of a homely feel. It is easily accessible by bus and car from Birmingham city centre and has adequate parking space for visitors who are welcome at most times. From time to time there are special events and also regular meetings for relatives and families where ideas can be put forward for activities or new ideas.

Being able to eat with my mother is a huge bonus, it's what we would do in her own home, this makes Madeleine House feel more like her 'new' home, which of course it is.

Kerria Court

from Paul C (Son of Resident) published on 3 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mom has been in Kerria Court since early November 2024.
Without exception, the Management and Staff have been excellent - caring, compassionate, and empathetic.
Mom loves the food, even though "all they want me to do is eat all day".
The home has regular entertainment and activities for residents
to enjoy if they want to get involved - and there are areas they can sit for some peace and quiet, too.
Mom currently spends quite a lot of time in her room (with a small kitchenette and full en-suite), but we're sure that as her confidence grows, she will venture into the communal lounge more and more. The staff are trying to encourage this too.
Each time mom has had a small health issue, the team at Kerria Court ensure she is looked after - helped by a weekly visit from the local GP.
It's obviously a worry when her children live 100+ miles away, but we're reassured given the quality of care mom receives.

All the staff at Trinity Lodge are outstanding. This includes the team leader, carers, cleaners, cooks and the handyman. We are always kept well informed of any concerns and involved in all discussions regarding care. The staff are attentive, caring and kind to residents. The residents are treated with
dignity and respect. I would recommend Trinity Lodge to anyone who wanted excellent care for their loved one.

My mother has been at the home about 16 months now. She was a bit mithered when she first arrived but she settled in quite quickly. Bloomfield Court have some very good carers who are very friendly with mom and family alike. Overall we are pleased with the care that mom is receiving.

Reply from Georgina Boden, Manager at Bloomfield Court

Thank you for taking the time to review Bloomfield Court and we are pleased that you rate our overall experience as very good. We appreciate your feedback regarding our team, which I will pass on. It sometimes takes residents a little time to settle, where we aim to provide as much support as possible to residents and their loved ones.

My mom is in her 5th year at Maple Dene. Throughout this time the care, attention and respect shown to her by all the staff have been exceptional. They do all they can to ensure all the residents have the best possible stay. We are delighted that we chose Maple Dene to become her new home. It has the
professional, safe, caring family-orientated environment that we hoped for.

We were given three choices of home for Mom and from the moment we stepped through the door, we felt Bloomfield Court was the right place. The staff are so welcoming and such a great asset to Bloomfield Court. We really couldn't have found a better place. The staff are attentive and really friendly.
The rooms are a good size with plenty of storage available.
Bloomfield Court is a credit to the Anchor group.

Maple Dene

My mum was a resident of Mapledene for 12 months. During this. Mum was well cared for and shown respect and treated with dignity. Mum particularly loved the garden area which had beautiful mature trees and plants. Also lots of seating areas in both the sunshine and shade. The garden was very well maintained
and easy to access for wheelchairs. Mom loved the food on the kitchen staff and all were really friendly. The rooms were kept clean and the laundry always smelt lovely and fresh. The care staff are exceptional so many of them go well over and above. Also, make the family feel welcome. Some great entertainment. Highly recommend Maple Dean. Management and staff friendly and professional.

My mother-in-law resided at Maple Dene for the last 12 months. The staff throughout the home made her welcome and helped her to settle in after 65 years of living in her own home. That she adapted so quickly at the grand age of 95 is due to the exceptional care and attention she received every day without
fail. I cannot commend you all highly enough as a professional care team with excellent leadership and caring carers.

Madeleine House

from Andrea S (Daughter of Resident) published on 24 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mom is a current resident of this care home. My sister and I and my Mom's long-term partner are very happy with the care that Mom is receiving here. It is a lovely, really well-thought-out environment, specialising in dementia care.
The staff are all friendly, helpful and cheerful. You can feel
the atmosphere of the place when you walk in the door. The decor is stimulating and well thought out and the facilities are excellent. My mom's room is comfortable, warm, clean and a 'blank canvas' to add personal touches to.
We have experienced the management team as professional and compassionate and they actively encourage dialogue and feedback. Having had a previous negative experience at another care home, we are really happy that our mom is living out the rest of her days here. I'd be happy to live here when my time comes!

Mum has Alzheimer's, and had to be moved into a place that could cater for her. I looked at Warren Farm Lodge first and didn't look at any others. I knew straight away that this was the place for her. She came into the home in June 24 and has settled in well. There have been ups and downs but on the
whole she is happy. This is down to the staff who have made my mum and myself most welcome. If I had to pick anybody out I would like to say that three staff members in particular have gone to another level to help. I am sure all the others have too and I have had no problems up to now.

Mom has been in Warren Farm for 7 months now, initially on a trial basis to ensure she was happy.
Most importantly all the staff are so friendly and caring, nothing is too much trouble. The food is above all expectations. Her room is large with an ensuite, with a kitchenette and a television etc.
My
sister and I are content knowing that Mom is being looked after so well.
