I feel safe here.
The staff - management, carers, cleaners, people in the laundry/the kitchen staff and those dealing with meds are excellent.
Kindness, patience, thoughtfulness, care and friendliness are always present.
Although there is nowhere like your own home and there are niggles - I am happy

I wanted to praise the hospitality staff at Wetherby Manor. The manager and his team are wonderful. I have been visiting Mum most days for over a year now. They have always offered me a drink and infact now it just arrives!! A lovely touch! The bar and dining room are always immaculate and nothing is
too much trouble. I know a lot of effort goes on behind the scenes to ensure things run so smoothly. Mum is looking forward to the new chef starting on Monday andI really hope he fits in and is an asset to the team.

Wetherby Manor

from Christine L (Respite Resident) published on 11 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The vulnerability I was beginning to feel at home was soon dissipated when I came to Wetherby Manor for respite care after a short stay in hospital. I can say, without hesitation, that every member of staff is empathetic and dedicated to caring for each and every resident to the highest of standards
and professionalism. The highest priority is given to the well being of each and every resident, from the comfort of the accommodation to well cooked and nutritious food served in sociable surroundings with care taken with individual tastes. There are various opportunities for social interaction if you should wish from concerts to quizzes to handicrafts and films to watch. Of course it goes without saying that the medical care is second to none.

The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

from Allie W (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 6 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

It's lovely; light, airy, happy vibe, kind staff, very clean and new, and the food's great; beautiful building and a great view over roundhay park... what's not to love. I'd happily move in and curl up on one of the sofas with a book myself for the next year or so! My parents-in-law are treated like
royalty; that are very happy staying at The Manor House.

Reply from Clare Erskine, Home Manager at The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

Thank you very much for taking the time to review our lovely home and for your fantastic feedback about both our beautiful environment but also our happy atmosphere. Your parents in law are delightful people and we are so lucky that they have come to join us at the Manor House Roundhay. They have settled so well with us and its a pleasure to care and support them both. They are certainly living life to the full and enjoying the all the facilities, the care support, but most of all the wonderful activities. Watching them dance together in the caf bar during live entertainment is a wonderful sight and their joy and happiness is fantastic to witness. We are delighted that they are settled, content and seem to be having a fabulous time with us. Once again thank you for your lovely review which I will ensure to share with the home team.

The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

from C B (Daughter of Resident) published on 6 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

It was a huge decision moving Mum and Dad into a care home and one that took a long time. Mum and Dad loved it from their first visit. The Manor House is like a 5-star hotel and is so beautiful, calm and relaxing. The staff are just exceptional. All of them. They could not do enough for Mum and Dad
and all of us, right from their first visit. We initially booked them in for 2 weeks as respite care, Mum and Dad loved it so much, they agreed they wanted to stay.
You are always greeted with a warm welcome whenever you arrive and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The manager set us at ease right from the start, she was supportive, understanding, caring and helpful - as are all the staff, right from the barmen and chef to the care assistants and support staff. Mum and Dad are engaged in lots of different activities every day - dancing/ bingo/ quizzes and the food is excellent too. The care shown to my parents is just second to none. I can't thank them enough.

Reply from Clare Erskine, Home Manager at The Manor House Roundhay Care Home

We would like to say a massive thank you for spending the time to submit such a beautiful review for the Manor House Roundhay. We totally understand how hard it must be to make such a difficult decision to move mum and dad into a care home environment. However, we would like to say how honoured we are that you chose us and trusted us to care for your wonderful mum and dad. They are a fantastic couple and the entire staff team will say the very same thing, that it is such a delight to have them stay with us. They honestly seem to enjoy everything in the home and really living life to the full and it fabulous that they have settled from day one into life at the Manor House. They settled with ease and continue to be having the best life and very happy and this is the greatest compliment to us all. Once again we are truly thankful for your review and I will ensure to share with the home team.

I cannot recommend Primrose Court highly enough. Each and every member of staff treats residents and their relatives with the greatest of care, dignity and respect. There is a genuine warmth and affection about the place which has meant that Primrose Court has been a real home from home for both my
dad and my auntie. Their best interests have always been at the forefront of the care they have received and I have been kept well informed about their health and wellbeing. Staff have always acted promptly to ensure that they have been comfortable, and received any necessary medical treatment promptly. The food is excellent and the range of activities on offer means that there is something for everyone to enjoy. I will forever be grateful to the staff at Primrose Court for making the last couple of years of my dad's life happy and content and for continuing to go above and beyond to support both my auntie and myself, as part of the current Primrose Court family.

Mum has been a resident at Primrose Court for almost 3 years and she has received wonderful care from day one. However, she suffered a stroke and seizure on 26th January and died on 2nd February. In her respect care plan, it was agreed that the staff would support palliative care if needed. They were
true to their word, every member of staff without fail, not only cared for mum to the end but my sister and I also, what a wonderful team, nothing was too much for them and we all felt so carefully held through this painful time.

My very elderly grandma is a resident at Wetherby Manor and myself and/or my family visit most days. Although she can get confused and forgetful, my grandma only ever has nice things to say about the staff. She likes seeing them when they check on her or when they take her downstairs, and they brighten
her days. We feel they know her well and always treat her with kindness and patience. The staff respond well to any queries and nothing is too much trouble. It was a difficult decision moving her into a home but we definitely feel reassured that Wetherby Manor is the best place we could have found for her.

My mum initially moved into Tolson Grange in September 2024 to convalesce after a fall. She quickly realised that the levels and quality of care that she received could not be replicated if she returned home, so she made the decision to stay permanently. She is very complimentary about the care staff
and any minor issues she has experienced with her room or care have been addressed very quickly. I really appreciate the approachability and helpfulness of all the care, admin and management staff.

Mum had a lovely room which was made into her own nice and cosy. Meals are plentiful and look lovely varied choice. There
is a lovely outside space and gardens. There are various choice of activities going on. I cannot praise the staff enough for all they have done, they are fantastic and are very caring to the residents and family. I would definitely recommend Springfield.
