Our mother in law has really enjoyed her week in this home. She came in quite withdrawn and quiet, over the week she has blossomed, taken part in activities. Can't praise the staff enough nothing a both, very friendly and caring. Always checking on her welfare making sure she had everything she needed.
She has really enjoyed her meals and has said she would def come back.

Reply from Lindsey Cheyne, Home Manager at Garden Hill Care Home

Both my mam and dad have experience in this home. My mam died there in September 2024. The most awful experience in our lives was respectfully, sensitively and professionally dealt with by the staff. The staff are the home's best asset. No problem is insurmountable and my dad wanted to be in this particular
care home now that he has stage 4 cancer. We as a family, cannot praise the home enough. Dad's every need is catered for and he is so happy and settled there. Yes, there are better homes building-wise in the area, but the most important thing, the care is the home's best asset and that cannot be respected enough.

My mum has been a resident at this care home for just a few weeks. She started on respite care and as she has settled well we have extended this to longer term. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and gardens are clean and spacious. Mum likes to sit in the conservatory. There are often
activities happening and I hope mum joins in with them. I am grateful for the care she receives.

Since my father came to live here, we feel he is safe and well-looked after. He enjoys the good selection of food and also the singers.
Staff are all friendly and welcoming.
Can't fault anything about Earsdon Grange.

My mum and I were very happy with the care my dad received whilst living at Easdon Grange. Although only a resident for a short time he settled well and we were very impressed with the care and support both he and ourselves received. We were all made to feel very welcome. Any queries or concerns were
quickly resolved and as my dad deteriorated we were very impressed and heartened by the end of live care. Thank you.

Basic care is ok, it's the small things that get missed, i.e. false teeth not in, no glasses on, hair brushed, teeth not cleaned. Often short-staffed, so care is unable to be given to the standard the staff want to.

Always someone around if there are any questions. My aunty is there on a temporary basis until decisions are made but currently, she is quite happy there.

I find all the staff to be really thoughtful and caring towards Mam. The entertainment lady does her utmost for all the residents. Mam is well looked after and the staff genuinely care for all the residents.

Thank you to Earsdon Grange and the staff - all of them for being so kind and caring towards mum and supportive of her family. Everyone is very approachable and keen to do their best, despite the confusion and frustration covered by rules and regulations everyone faces today. Earsdeon Grange is clean
and tidy with lovely cleaners on hand as required. A variety of activities is always on offer and much appreciated. A variety of activities is always on offer and much appreciated. Regarding value for money it does seem on the expensive side - hope the staff are paid properly - we have wandered about having to pay for mom's incontinence pads. Altogether many thanks for her care.

My mother was welcomed into the home by friendly staff. She and her specific needs are addressed as required. When visiting if we do require extra assistance help is always available. The staff treat my mother with the respect and dignity that we expect. Although she may not know where she is she doesn't
have any bad feedback for the team. That is the best we can wish for. Thank you!

Generally a very friendly care home, most staff seem genuinely caring and there is always a warm welcome on reception. My mother has settled well into the home and seems to feel safe there; staff do take time to get to know residents but as there is probably not enough for them they do not have enough
time to do this as much as they would wish. Management always approachable for any concerns issues and family kept in the loop with things. My mother says the food is lovely.

Earston Grange is a warm and friendly environment. My mum is settling into it but as expected some adjustments are needed as she gets used to new surroundings. It is probably a bit early to give a meaningful response below but certainly "Good" would be our early response. We feel very hopeful.

My sister was admitted to Barnes Court Care Centre following a spell in hospital. It was the first time she had stayed away from the family home alone. Due to her mental and physical disabilities, it was very difficult to start trusting others to understand her very special needs. Over a year down the
line, my sister is thriving at Barnes Court. She interacts with all the staff and other residents and seems to enjoy her days there. The staff are very caring and attentive and it's a comfort to know nursing staff are at hand 24 hours. Knowing that my sister is settled and happy and in good care is a huge relief.

My aunt has settled in really well at Earsdon Grange. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. Right from the start they made an effort to get to know her and encouraged her to join in with the activities. The rooms are spacious and clean. We are free to visit when suits and are made to feel welcome.

I really enjoyed my respite stay. I was treated with the best care and respect, everything to make my visit enjoyable and my wife able to enjoy her break. I can be very inappropriate, something other homes can't handle. On one respite break a member of staff said I was a "nasty horrible man"! It broke
my wife's heart but Earsdon Grange was able to manage me without disrespecting me. It was like home from home (better food). Can't thank them enough.
