Our very dear friend was a resident for approximately 12 months until 1.10.24 when he sadly passed away. I have visited many care homes but this is the friendliest and warmest care home. This is down to the wonderful staff - whatever their role. We were made so welcome on every visit and our friend
was very much loved and so well cared for. We will always be grateful. Our friend had a very happy last year of life. Thank you.

Reply from Whitney Sampson, Home Manager at Three Bridges Nursing Home

Just need to give praise to the young carers who looked after my sister on Sunday afternoon 10th November. She was quite distressed and they dealt with the situation showing care and consideration. Many thanks.

Mum has always been well looked after since moving to Green Park. She is always up and dressed, fed and watered with her room always clean and tidy. The staff do an amazing job looking after everyone's loved ones and always speak in a well-mannered way. If I had one small negative it is the rooms are
a little dated and could do with being redecorated.

Our father was placed on the Kensington Unit, after a spell in hospital, it was our first time even visiting the care home.
I can honestly say from the office staff on arrival to each and every one of the staff I can't praise them enough, the care Dad gets daily from all carers and nursing staff is
nothing but outstanding, he's happy settled, even though we've nearly lost him a few times due to illness, I honestly believe the care he had is what's pulled him through, the activity team, domestics, laundry, and management are always there to answer any questions, they have such respect for everyone they're caring for, they also make families welcome, excellent home and care, I've also made some lovely friends here, thank you for giving me the peace of mind that Dad's well looked after.

Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing Home

Thank you so much for taking the time to write that fantastic review. It means so much to the team. We are lucky to have such lovely residents and families like your dad and you. It makes caring for everyone a pleasure. Best wishes

I felt the time was right to put a friend with dementia in a home. I looked at reviews and happened to look round as they were opening a new unit so had spaces.
She was not herself when she arrived and we had struggled to get her washed and changed to eat or drink.
I left it 2 weeks to let her settle
and I am so glad I did.
She is clean, changed, hair washed, nail polish on... nowhere near the shadow of herself I took in who spent her days crying and no interest in anything. She was watching TV for the first time in ages and very articulate.
Thank you to the staff for not only making it easier for us, but for doing an amazing job!
I had wondered if I was doing the right thing.

Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing Home

Thank you for taking the time to write this very honest and complimentary review. I am pleased that the team here have helped your friend find purpose and be herself again. This can take time as residents get to know and trust us and we get to know what suits them best, what they like and dislike. I have passed your review on to the team and very much appreciate your kind words. Best wishes

My brother who has complex learning difficulties, dementia and health needs became a resident of Devonshire Dementia Nursing Unit in December 2023. I cannot praise highly enough the day-to-day care and support provided to my brother by the exceptional dementia care team of nurses, carers, support and
admin staff. They are all extremely friendly, polite, helpful and we are kept fully informed. The food and cleanliness is excellent.

To put it simply, without this facility and all its wonderful staff my mum's quality of life would awful.
There's not enough words to praise the quality of care given every day to all the residents, from the moment they wake up to the moment they go to bed nothing is too much trouble.
Quite simply
outstanding.

We were anxious about finding somewhere for our mum to be looked after but Three Bridges has excelled in our expectations. The care has been outstanding.
She is extremely settled and we can't thank the staff enough. She spends a lot of time in activities where she is getting fantastic mental stimulation.
It means everything to us, thank you.

Mum had been in residential care at a previous home, and the care was awful. Since being at Green Park, Mum has improved immensely. The care is amazing, she is looked after so well. I cannot fault the Deputy Manager and her team for their efforts to make sure Mum is looked after.

Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing Home

Thank you for taking the time to write this lovely review. The team really do appreciate this feedback. The deputy manager has a hands on approach, ensuring we have the right equipment and knowledge to provide amazing care, to each of our residents. Caring staff were extremely professional and caring. The nurses were very accessible and knowledgeable. The family (and friends) were looked after so well during the final (4 days and nights) vigil that we undertook. The home had a lovely, warm, friendly and homely feeling.

Thank you to all of the staff at Three Bridges for treating my mum with such kindness, dignity and respect at the end of her life. Everyone from the managers to the nurses, carers and kitchen staff were so kind to us when my mum was dying and looked after us as well as my mum in her final days. One
night I heard a lady being put to bed and she shouted 'Goodnight, I love you' to the nurse, which was probably what she'd said every night at home. Then I heard the nurse reply 'Night, love you too, go to sleep now' which I thought was the nicest moment because it was what the lady needed to hear to help her settle down. This really sums up Three Bridges for me.

Reply from Carol Mills, Home Manager at Three Bridges Nursing Home

My father-in-law has been cared for at Green Park since July 2023. I have been really encouraged to see the level of care that he receives, it is clear to see that he is well looked after from the cleanliness of his room and surroundings to the compassionate way he is treated by the staff. This has
really helped to give peace of mind to all the family that the decision made to put him in care was the right one.

Thank you for your lovely review. Taking the decision for someone to move into care is one of the hardest things a family ever has to do. Your review will help those who are going through that. At Green Park we strive to take away the worries that come with that move, to allow family and friends to become family and friends again. Thank you for taking the time to write, we appreciate it. Best wishes.

I feel I need to write an honest review of the unit my husband is on Kensington Unit it’s a very challenging dementia unit the nursing staff work to a very high standard of care and are always professional in their manner and managed the unit well. The care staff are fantastic in dealing with residents
they are kind and treat them with respect at all times I would also like to mention the activities team who are enthusiastic and work extremely hard and engage with the residents really well bringing music days and creativity activities which meet all the residents needs. I also have to say that the kitchen staff laundry staff and domestic and maintenance people are always extremely good and happy to help in any way they can. As for the manager and deputy manager they are always out and about on the different units always approachable to speak to about anything that may need addressing and will always get back to you to answer your questions he gets excellent care and attention.

Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing Home

Thank you for your honest review and support! The whole team work hard here to bring families together to have meaningful moments and make happy memories. My lovely mum passed away in January. I had to send this review to share our experience as the dignity and respect that was given to her daily and at her end of life was above and beyond. As a family, we would like to thank all the staff, especially management for their professionalism, empathy, and
care they provided for all of us during and after this very difficult and sad time. The management encouraged feedback regularly both good and areas of improvement, acted upon this, followed up with relatives and residents, and consistently provided a caring, loving, family environment to all of the residents, their families, and their staff. Management, nurses, carers, kitchen, domestic, maintenance, and activity workers showed care, comfort, and kindness to my mum and my dad who visited daily and we as a family are thrilled to hear that Greenpark Nursing Home will be “The forever home” dedicated to nursing for Dementia residents.” Thank you all for being part of our journey.

Reply from Laura McLeod, Home Manager at Green Park Nursing Home

Thank you so much for your review. We do miss seeing you all every day! It is always a privilege to be part of that journey with families. Always an honour to be trusted and to support you all as it nears the end. We, the team at Green Park, are excited about becoming that Specialist 'Forever Home' for those living with dementia. Your review has been shared here and not a dry eye in the house. Thank you. Come and see us again soon.

First off there are some lovely carers here and the activity girls are amazing. However, this is overshadowed by the appalling management at this facility. Firstly my mother was moved to a different unit and the way the move was handled by management was disrespectful, to say the least. In the following
months we have been ignored by management regarding care concerns. The icing on the cake was a resident meeting where we were basically informed that my mum and the majority of residents in Balmoral were being evicted. There were numerous discrepancies in the reasons why but basically it was a business decision. The way this has been handled is cold, callous and completely disrespectful and residents have not been treated with the dignity a respect that they deserve. Thankfully we managed to find an alternative facility and in all honesty cannot believe the difference. Management needs to learn a thing or two about professionalism within the care sector and basic human decency.

Reply from Geoff Edwards, Operations Director at Green Park Nursing Home

Dear JD, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. Moving to a new placement ensures the best continuation of appropriate care, we completely understand that unexpected change can be upsetting and disappointing. Due to insufficient demand for our general nursing beds, coupled with an increasing demand across Warrington for specialist dementia nursing beds, and following detailed engagement with local commissioners about market requirements, Orchard Care Homes made the decision to re-consider the service provision on the Balmoral community at Green Park. We work closely with local commissioners and social workers to ensure that the right placement, offering the most suitable care for each individual, has been found. If you would like to have a conversation with me directly, please let a member of the Green Park team know to share your details and I will be happy to arrange a meeting with you.
