Queensmount is a very special care home offering a fully integrated package of care including physical, medical, psychological and social aspect delivered by committed professionals and through many channels including hands on nursing, an attractive and clean environment, a shared set of values and
beliefs, tailor made excellent diet and food provision, engaging and stimulating activities with a personalised care package. Nothing is too much trouble to make you feel cared for and home. The varied nationalities and cultures of the staff add a definite positive contribution to this healing community where personal dignity preferences and needs can be accommodated and acknowledged. This was my second visit to Queensmount - this time following a bad flu infection which left me unable to cope at home for a while. I felt that my reasonable quick recovery was down to Queensmount. Queensmount has a special magic which for me, is about its serenity, calm and positive atmosphere coupled with a very high standard of medical and social care.

Outstanding End of Life care for my 98 year old Mother.

After a stay in hospital, Mum returned to The Lindsay Care Home for end of life care. Staff popped in to welcome her back, spend time with her, make her smile, checking on her comfort and her physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, whilst

being mindful of us and recognising we wanted to spend time with her.
I was so very moved by the love, care and respect for Mum's dignity throughout this very difficult time. My husband and I spent 3 days with Mum before she died and were touched by the gentleness, consideration and thought given, not just to Mum, but to us, as relatives too. Senior staff kept us abreast of developments and checked with us at each stage as to how we wished to move forward, the proceedings and what would happen next. When Mum passed away, staff were so very thoughful of our needs. They came up to pay their respects and all had something lovely to say about her. I am so grateful to you all. Thank you.

Staff are very helpful and kind, helping Mum to settle in, and keep safe. Plenty of activities for Mum to be involved in, and very prompt and sensible attention when she was unwell. Mum likes the meals and says she has friends there, which has helped her settle too. For me, staff are very helpful and
supportive, nothing is too much trouble. Very pleased.

I count myself extremely fortunate to have been able to have my wife accepted as a resident in The Lindsay Care Home. The care she is receiving is exemplary, and it is a great comfort to know that she is safe and superbly looked after. I spend some five hours every day at the home, giving me ample opportunities
to assess the attitude and professionalism of the staff. They are magnificent in every respect, from the cleaners and the kitchen staff to the nurses and activities personnel to the management team.

My mum lived at the home for 3 years.
She was very happy there, all the staff were so good with all her needs and always friendly to her and myself when I used to visit her.
She passed away in October 2024. All the staff were so comforting when it happened. I have been back to the home since her
passing and have been made so welcome.

Mum moved to The Links four and a half years ago during the first COVID lockdown. She suffered from dementia and at first found it hard to settle but with the help and care of the staff she adapted well to her new home. She joined in the many activities provided and all of the staff were kind and caring
towards her. They managed her condition well through the different stages and it was always a comfort to see Mum with a smile on her face and having a giggle. I can't thank The Links enough for looking after Mum through those difficult years and for their care and compassion up to and during her passing.

All staff at Queensmount Care Home continue to the 'Outstanding' CQC rating which is fully deserved.
Everyone no matter what their skill was kind, caring and friendly. Nothing was too much trouble. The menu and restaurant were a lovely touch of normality as was the constant activity in the lounge.
It was a pleasure to spend time with mum in Queensmount in her last days and I will remember them fondly.

Dad was admitted to The Links for palliative and end-of-life care. From the initial assessment by the Manager to the day of his death, I cannot praise all of the staff enough. They took time to get to know Dad and treated him with such care, respect and dignity. We know that at times they were busy
but they still managed to maintain a calm and relaxed atmosphere, stop for a supportive chat or update on Dad's condition. Although Dad was too unwell to take part in group activities, I observed other residents obviously enjoying taking part as I passed by the lounge, but staff took the time, when he was up to it, to sit and chat or go through his family photo album with him. We felt comforted by seeing how they adapted their care as he deteriorated and their end-of-life care was excellent. BUPA should feel very proud of The Links.

It has been a challenging time for my mother-in-law over the last 6 months, and I am completely confident that The Links are providing the kindest and most comprehensive care for her. The support from the staff for my mother-in-law is outstanding, and I particularly want to thank them for the tireless
way they support our family alongside our journey together. I especially want to thank the Manager for her very committed approach, taking time on a very regular basis to discuss everything with my wife, (resident's daughter), and also the nursing staff and carers, some of whom go over and above what could ever be expected of staff in a large care home. The Links is a happy place, residents are often willing to chat and welcome resident's loved ones into their "home family," and we have had many lovely conversations with them, which helps our Mum to feel at home too. The Links should take pride in being able to respond very much to their individual resident's needs. Thank you.

Mum settled so well at Queensmount, right from the start. The home has an "outstanding" score, which is well deserved. It was a home from home for Mum, who sadly passed away earlier this month, Mum, and other residents, were consistently extremely well cared for and supported. Staff work together, as
a team to maintain very high standards. Everyone shows such kindness and respect to residents and visitors alike. There is a dedication that goes above and beyond in all aspects. First-class nursing support and care gave Mum a quality of life and a feeling of belonging, for which we will be forever grateful. The activities were lovely for Mum and some were brought to her, even in her final months. I cannot recommend highly enough. Queensmount is exceptional. Thank you so much.

Have visited a neighbour who is on the 2nd floor and unable to get out of bed. He appears to be left in bed 24 hours per day. My wife unable to get out of bed at a different care home is craned daily into a superb chair and taken to the lounge and to events. I also visit two other persons at The Links
- they are both mobile.
Be sure you make every effort to address this problem of moving immobile people - to stimulate them.

After a couple of periods of respite, my Mum decided she would like to become a permanent resident because she found the other people so friendly and welcoming, and really appreciated the care from the staff.
I have the utmost praise for every single member of staff and their exceptional care for her
