We moved my Mum in to Eglantine care home in 2025. I have to say it's the best decision we could have made. She is so happy there. The staff love her and she loves them. When we visit mum we are treated as part of the Eglantine family. Highly recommend them.

The food can be a school dinners, but you can ask for specific items, if they fall within the budget. The staff are usually helpful and well intentioned. I normally entertain myself and am not bothered with activities, but there are dedicated members of staff who organise activities, since local government
pay for me, I don't know about value for money

My aunt became a resident in mid-September 2024, having broken her hip in a fall at home and subsequent surgery in late August. At 97, with increasing sight and hearing deficiencies, she has settles in well having been used to living on her own for 5 years after being widowed. The staff are caring,
the home is almost spotless and the rooms are spacious.

The standard of care was outstanding, dad was well cared for and happy. The home was always clean and smelt fresh. The residents were very well entertained with plenty of activities. Relatives were always welcome at any part of the day, and the staff were always friendly and welcoming. We could highly
recommend this home. There was always a variety of home-cooked food on the menu too.

This is my third experience of my loved ones' time in a care home. One thing I absolutely love, every month a resident is resident of the day, the staff calls and lets you know how your loved one is doing, such a lovely thing to do. I vary the days of my visits but it is always the same, excellent,
in my opinion, five words describe this care home 'it's simply the best' and I feel that all care homes should be like this, but believe me they are not. I have entrusted my loved ones in their care, they do not disappoint.

Mum has been at Broad Oak Manor for 8 years and staff work very hard to create a warm and welcoming environment for residents and family members.
I have peace of mind knowing that Mum is safe and well cared for. The staff are excellent and cope with the challenges of the work with good humour and kindness.
I appreciate being able to be with Mum at any time of day or night, particularly when she isn't feeling too well. It feels like a home from home. I'm very involved with all aspects of Mum's care and staff are very supportive of this.
When it was Mum's 100th birthday last year - staff pulled out all the stops to make it a special and memorable event for Mum. High praise for all the staff.

Husband has been in this care home for 12 years. Over that period, care changed from good to moderate. In the last 2 years, you had the feeling that it was homely and more care given to residents. I understand it is not an easy profession and I am grateful.

Fountains Lodge is a warm and welcoming place where my mother in law feels comfortable and safe. It is reassuring for us to know that she is well cared for and settled. My thanks to the wonderful team at Staplehurst Manor Care Home. My uncle moved in during 2023 and was very happy there. He trusted the staff, whom he said just 'quietly got things done'.
From my perspective, I liked the fact that they talked to him not me, about what he wanted. It was one of the only
places that did that when we looked at homes with him.
He did like the aesthetics of the manor buildings, he was rather delighted to live in a manor. Although he had a very small room, it had a lovely outlook over the garden. Although he could have moved to a larger room, he decided not to, and personalised his with his pictures, books, ornaments, and wine rack!
Throughout his time there he had support for his many particular interests including helping setting up his attendance at his beloved online lectures. He appreciated the outside grounds and enjoyed the poetry sessions in particular. He said that the food was in abundance and the homemade cakes.

On the whole very good, Mum has been accommodated and has been quite content with her stay. Her level of capacity I feel is somewhat higher than most residents so gainful companionship and communication is somewhat limited. Mum celebrated her 90th birthday in October. Warren Lodge supplied a fantastic
party buffet and it was attended by family and friends so a massive thank you to the management and staff.
