I cannot praise highly enough the wonderful staff and care at Wykebeck Court. The environment is wonderful, warm & welcoming. All of the staff are amazing and go the extra mile for the residents - including coming in on days off to support activities, events & trips. Both of my parents are residents
& I have watched them settle, grow & make friends in what they now refer to as 'home'. Thank you so much.

Crossley House Care Home

from Danielle B (Friend of Resident) published on 31 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I brought my Gran to visit a friend at Crossley House on Valentines Day. The home was clean, tidy and decorated for the day. Crossley House was full of life, staff were all happy, supportive and approachable providing conversation, entertainment and a high level of support. Staff assisted my Gran's
friend to transfer to allow us to go to her room which was clean and tidy, staff brought us an extra chair without being asked as I had said would sit on the floor. Gran had brought a present; a new cardigan and staff offered to take thisand get labelled straight up so didn't get lost. The staff had arranged small Valentine gifts for residents; flower balloons and some sweet treats and people were having their photographs taken with their gifts.
When we were leaving staff all said goodbye and came to assist back into a chair.
Much to my surprise when we left my Gran even commented that should it be needed she could see herself at Crossley House as looked like was lots going on.

We needed accommodation for our uncle - the need was urgent as we felt he was being discharged, from hospital, too quickly, following a fall. The team at Cleveland House were fantastic, helping with transfer at very short notice our uncle spent a month at Cleveland House. He was very well looked after.
The staff are friendly and approachable and took genuine interest in our uncle's wellbeing. We strongly recommend Cleveland House.

My Sister in Law has been a resident of Crossley House since the end of October, having had respite care prior to this. I cannot believe the change in her since going to Crossley House, due to the care and attention of the staff working there. She is happy, vibrant and really enjoys participating in
all the activities they offer. The food provided is excellent with plenty of choice and healthy options. I cannot thank the team enough, they are like a family, for all their support and attentive care given to each of the residents.

This is an amazing care home. The staff are lovely and caring. It is run very well and I know my mum is in safe hands. They have fun events for residents and all the staff work extremely hard and are brilliant. I cannot praise them enough and would give 6 stars if I could. If I ever needed to be in
a care home, this would be my choice and hopefully there would be a room spare for me

My father has always maintained that he would never live in a care home. However, having initially stayed at Cleveland House for respite care, he decided that he would prefer to stay here rather than live at home with support from carers. This is due to the level of care, support and companionship that
he receives from all the staff at Cleveland House. He has an excellent relationship with the team and we know that he is safe, comfortable and cared for. Thank you to everyone at Cleveland House.

Crossley House Care Home

from Cath S (Daughter of Resident) published on 5 March 2025

Crossley House staff really do care about their residents. It was more than a home from home for mum, as she wouldn't have done half of the activities on offer there had she been home with carers.
The communication is good with families, and regular meetings allow any ideas and suggestions to be discussed.
The
Facebook group allowed us to see on a daily basis what was happening - she was photographed doing bingo, quizzes, meeting the alpaca, amongst others.
The layout of the building allows residents to be in smaller areas of up to 14 and this includes the dining room, meaning it isn't overwhelming when they first move in, and that group gets to know each other and also often their families too.

I would like to record my thanks to all the staff at Crossley House for the professional, caring and compassionate way they cared for my mother throughout her residence at the home.
In particular, I would highlight the way they dealt with my mother's final days and how they supported her and our family
throughout this difficult period.
First class.

My Mother has been at Lindley Grange Care Home since the middle of last year, and the care she has received has been fantastic, she is in a much better physically and mentally than when she arrived. There is a great team of staff who genuinely appear to want to do their best for the residents. There
is a huge range of well-thought-out activities laid on with something different most days. The menu is varied, and staff always ensure that there is something that mum will eat - not an easy task. Whenever I visit, the whole place is spotless everything is well organised, and dogs are welcome. It really is better than I ever imagined a care home could be.

Mum was a resident for 21 months at Crossley House Care Home and was looked after with love and care. She passed away on 25th January 2025 and was cared for to the very end.
