The Millreed Lodge is a warm and welcoming care home. My Mother in law is very happy there. When we visit the staff are always chatty and we feel like its a home from home atmosphere. There is always things to look forward to. They organise events for the residents to look forward to and join in. So
a BIG THANK YOU to all the staff.

My mother moved into Millreed Lodge just before Christmas. She has settled well due to the kindness and attentiveness of staff. Nothing has been too much trouble. Mum received a warm welcome as do we and other friends and family when we visit. It helps us to accept the decision for Mum to move out of
the family home knowing she is safe, comfortable and well cared for.

The atmosphere is always welcoming. The staff are absolutely fantastic-so friendly, attentive, and genuinely caring. They always go above and beyond for our Auntie. The personal connections they have built with our aunt is truly appreciated. The facility is becoming more well-maintained and the environment
is also becoming more attractive. We are so grateful for the level of care and kindness my aunt receives here. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a supportive and friendly home.
I would also like to thank everyone for the positive experience the students are receiving on their work experience. This is so much appreciated.

Mam could not have had a better home. I visited most days at different times, never saw or heard anything which concerned me about the care for Mam or any other resident. Demanding residents treated calmly and patiently. All residents treated with care and kindness. The building has its challenges as
it is a conversion but outweighed by the standard of care. I always felt at home visiting and enjoyed being there. Over the 9 months Mam lived here there was barely any change in staff, which suggests a well-run business and good staff relations. Lots of effort went into events like Bonfire night and Christmas, again staff deserve praise for this. Finally, one huge relief for me was that there was no smell of disinfectant etc. This was one of my worst fears about residential houses.

On behalf of our family, I would to thank all the staff at Millreed Lodge for their kindness and compassion during my Mum's stay there (and sadly her passing). Her room was cosy and spotlessly clean. Her face lit up when she saw staff members and she called them her best friends. It was comforting to
know she was being looked after by a wonderful team of carers.
Sadly Mum passed away a week ago. We will be eternally grateful that she was surrounded by such a wonderful caring team on her passing. It was reassuring to know she passed with dignity, love and kindness.

Many thanks to the lovely staff at Millreed Lodge Care Home, Walsden for looking after our mum so well. Thanks to all the residents for welcoming Mum to their home.
We had a lovely family party for Mum's 95th Birthday in a cosy private room the staff decorated for us.
We have been supported throughout
Mum's short stay with them.
Our brother managed to secure a placement much nearer to Mum's and our homes.
We are sad we have had to do it this way but we will be able to see Mum more than once a week now.
Thank you to all the staff at Millreed, you looked after our mum and us very well, it's much appreciated.

Jansondean has made my mum welcome and looked after her. Especially when she first moved in and she was getting used to a new environment. They were very patient, understanding, and caring. Which we appreciated. She loves her room, the view of the garden, and her food. She is content and happy here.

I cannot praise this home and its staff enough, I was very apprehensive when I had to look for a home for my uncle as I had previously had a very bad experience with my Dad who was not well cared for.
I have yet to meet a member of staff who I don't like and they all deserve praise as they all care
and engage with the residents and it's the same whatever time you turn up unannounced.
So pleased I picked Jansondean.

Our Mum has been in the home since September last year and has settled in well.
That is due to the outstanding care given to her by all the staff, led by the Manager, throughout her stay.
They are incredibly patient, kind, and caring we are so grateful for the level of care our Mum receives.
We are
a large family and frequent visitors to the home but whatever day and whatever time one of us visits the level of care is always extremely consistent.
This is a great comfort to all of us knowing that Mum is safe and cared for at all times.

My wife is very happy at Jansondean. She is in a world of her own but appears happy and contented whenever I visit (twice a week). She has one particular friend there and the staff are very attentive to her needs. Clothes go missing at times but I am aware that this is a common problem in most if
not all Care Homes. My wife is a lot happier at Jansondean than she was in the last year or so at home with me.

Reply from Susan Hill, Manager at Jansondean Residential Home

My mum has been a resident at Jansondene for nearly a year. I have always found the manager staff very kind caring and always willing to do what ever my mum may need or want. I always have a good chat with all the staff and feel part of the home. The cook looks after my mum making sure she likes what
she cooks for her.
I can't speak more highly of the care that my mum receives and am grateful for that.

My uncle has been with Jansondean for just under a year now. He likes it here and thinks the staff are lovely. He likes that they come and chat to him and nothing is too much of an effort. He's still enjoying the food and loves the games and entertainment they have. I spoke to him today and he has been
watching the football which he's been loving.
Thank you to all the staff for welcoming his family too.

My mum moved here in November from another care home. The change in Mum is remarkable. She has gone from being in bed most of the time at the other care home to being up and dressed, eating her meals at the table, and interacting with other residents and staff. We are very happy with Hazeldene. The
staff are always helpful and management has always addressed any concerns or worries we had regarding Mum. As a family, we would recommend Hazeldene Care Home.

My mother-in-law came to Hazeldene in November 2023.
The difference in her from her previous care home is outstanding.
She is chatty when we visit and says she’s happy there.
She plays cards and takes part in other activities, even teaching staff card games.
Her room is homely and comfortable.
Staff and management are always friendly and helpful.
As a family, we are very happy with Hazeldene and would recommend it to others.

Hazeldean is a good, safe place for our mum to stay - the previous home was a disgrace! It was distressing for Mum and us - she is 100% better here out in the lounge every day. Mum is always happy and chatty, not like before, and this is down to the care given by the helpful, friendly and caring staff,
and we are grateful for that.
Thank you, team.
