Overall Experience

First impressions were the Manager, Deputy Manager, Staff & Residents too, were friendly & welcoming. It looked inviting, clean, bright, airy, well looked after & smelled fresh. My experience has been that there's always a senior member of staff on duty & it's never a problem to them if I call for an

update on my father (I live away), plus they call me straight away if any health or other issues. My father's needs have changed since he moved in to Windermere Grange & this has not been a problem to them, in fact they've worked very well to keep him safe & comfortable, working with him as & when his care needs have changed. My father enjoys the meals, he gets to choose & likes it that he can eat his meals in his room. In passing I've noticed staff sitting & chatting with the residents in the lounge. Over the past 2 years he's been somewhat on the roundabout of adult social care, domiciliary care, care homes & hospital wards, not all good experiences. Now I can relax he's cared for.

Overall Experience

My sister is in Chestnut Suite. Manager and staff are welcoming when you come visit the unit, I come most days to visit the unit and love to talk to all residents, not just my sister. My sister is very happy here and that is what matters to us as her family.

Overall Experience

A big shout out to the staff upstairs at Guisborough Manor Care Home especially with their technology skills.
Organising meetings so I can see and talk to my Mum whilst I'm spending a significant time away from her out of the UK.
Don't like to single out staff but three in particular you are invaluable.

Overall Experience

Took care of my mother for two weeks to help give my father a break. She had a great relationship with the staff who treated her with dignity and care as she suffers from severe dementia.

Overall Experience

We reluctantly had to put my dad into a care home due to his falling over and dementia which changed him from a very gentleman to an angry man. My dad's care was a very front of Guisborough Manor's staff and any issues were sorted very quickly when Dad was dying there. Palliative end-of-life care was

amazing not just to Dad but to us as a family, making sure we had everything we needed kept us going. Sandwiches, drinks and lots of heartfelt words. I do think the rooms need some updated, small matter in the scheme of things.

Overall Experience

My mam has been a resident at Guisborough Manor for the last year. The care she is given on a daily basis is first-class. The kindness and respect from all the staff (even at stressful times) have been a real comfort to me. I know Mam is being looked after and is safe each day and this helps me cope

with my daily life. I can't praise the staff enough - from the admin support to the cleaners. Thank you.

I am absolutely over the moon with all aspects of the care given to my mam. Carers, cleaners, in fact, every member of staff has gone above the job rolls. The staff are there to support family of the residents, the manager is approachable for anything and listens to you and acts upon any question you

The staff in the Chesnut Suite do a great job in taking care of my brother, they are thoughtful and care for his needs. The atmosphere when you walk into the suite is always welcoming and everyone is always friendly.

Overall Experience

Overall my mother-in-law had a satisfactory stay. She made some new friends, however she was disappointed that there were not many planned activities. She missed her trifles and doughnuts in the afternoon and hot milk in the morning for her cereal biscuit. Overall the staff are friendly and helpful

and she would be happy to stay again for respite care.

Overall Experience

Excellent care for my father before he passed away. The staff are kind, compassionate and above all caring. The home is spotlessly clean and the staff are always interacting with the residents. Would highly recommend Guisborough Manor, this care home is not just a care home but a real home.

Overall Experience

My dad always seems to complain about the food and that the food he orders is not what he gets. There was an issue with a member of staff but he was reluctant to say anything in case he would be bullied or singled out and isolated. That situation resolved itself. He also agrees that overnight care could

be better and he’s woke up at 0530 most mornings to take meds.
Special mention to two staff members, both are very attentive.

An amazing care home!
Both in-laws have dementia and they’re treated as individuals and with care. Both settled well and see the staff at friends/family. The staff are always accommodating and give us family members the time and care we also need.

Overall Experience

My brother moved here from another care home because of his dementia. He has settled well and I know he is getting well looked after. The carers have a lot of patience and a good relationship with him. Nothing is too much trouble for them. Their loving, caring attitude obviously rubs off on to my brother.

They give him their attention, also I like the communication between all the staff. Very happy and would recommend this home to anybody.
