Ysgurborwen is a lovely home, the staff all work do hard and nothing is too much trouble. All the staff treat the residents and their families with the utmost respect,the home is immaculate, bright and airy and there is always lots of activities for the residents to do. The garden area is beautiful,
and the staff are all angels. The care they provide for my mother is superb, and every time I visit I can see that my mother interacts and enjoys the staff company. The staff are always approachable and they keep the family informed of any changes at all times . An absolutely remarkable home. Well done and thank you for the love, support and care you provide to my mother xx

My mother had been in hospital for just under 12 months due to a bad experience(s) at an earlier care home. Within 24 hours she was sitting in a chair, for the first time in many months, like a meerkat people watching and all that was going on around her. When I visited on her fourth day there she was
painting. Not to Picasso standard, but with a look of intense concentration that I haven't seen since before her first stroke. Her gummy smiles are a joy to see, the home have arranged for the community dentist to fit replacement dentures, the original pair having gone MIA in hospital. My mother improved 110% within a matter of days of her going to Ysguborwen.

My husband has been living in Worcester Lodge for over a year now. I'm so happy that he is living in such a wonderful home. He receives excellent personalised care, from warm, caring, kind and friendly staff. He started with day care as the activities on offer were so appealing for an active person
who needed to be safe. After a few months he became a resident and is now very settled. The dementia care is amazing, plenty of activities with trips and walks away from the home on a regular basis. Going above and beyond to meet his physical needs. The relatives' gateway where we can access the personalised care on a daily basis is very reassuring and useful. I'd like to add that I am always made to feel very welcome whenever I visit and I enjoy being part of the Worcester Lodge family.

I can not recommend Osborne house enough. My stepdad watched rugby, sang, did the activities he enjoyed and was given the food he liked and great care. I found those caring for him super committed to doing their best and staff communication was really good. As relatives we were also cared for really
well. We were so fortunate to find somewhere like this.

I have nothing but admiration for the staff who look after my wife and also the way they have made me welcome at the home. It is sad to leave your wife at the end of visiting but I have peace of mind that she is well looked after. Thank you for all your care.

Overall, my experience at Worcester Lodge is very positive. I only have prior experience of one similar home, so my comparisons would be with this in mind only. My mother is settled and well in her lovely room. She is always taking very positively of the staff. I do wish however that there was more
information coming back to me. In the previous home I would receive a weekly update of meals eaten, medication, any injuries/bruises etc, any observations and daily activities. I find this put my mind at rest, whereas currently I am left wondering how my mum is. It's early days however and I will be feeding this back. Also I would like earlier access to and from the home!

To put your mind at rest- Our electronic care planning system has an exclusive relative's gateway, that has secure internet access, just for the family, to view all aspects of your loved one's care. My mother has been a resident for over three years in lilac unit and has settled far better than expected, she is well cared for by the experienced staff whose job can be challenging at times I'm sure. The activities team are very good, interacting with the residents and encouraging everyone to join
in with quizzes, bingo drawing and more. You are always welcomed when visiting, weather permitted the garden area is a lovely setting, we go up with the grandchildren and take a picnic, which my mother enjoys.

My family and I are very happy with the care my mother is receiving to date in Ysguborwen Care Home!
She has been a resident there for over a year now and after a short while of settling in she now seems to be happy and content due to the care she is receiving! The staff are not only professional but

Ever since my mother moved into Ysguborwen Care Home just over two years ago, I have been absolutely delighted with the care she has received. All of the staff, without exception, have been amazing with her and nothing is ever too much trouble. Everyone is always friendly and supportive and I have been
kept informed at every stage when my mother has visited a GP, nurse, optician etc. I cannot commend it highly enough and am so glad that I chose Ysguborwen for my mam's care.

Always happy with the care our sister receives. She had a medical emergency in July that was dealt with efficiently. Now back at the home, ongoing treatment is going well. She seems happy and that is all that matters.

I am amazed at the care my Aunt has day in and day out. She is happy and looked after 100%, always smiling. Everyone is helpful, happy and welcoming even though she has only been in this nursing part for approximately 5 months after moving. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and tidy and very homely and
comfortable. Treated as if she's always been there. Everyone talks to her and she is never ignored when calling for someone. Excellent at all levels. Thank you.

Always very helpful and accommodating. The setting around the home is very picturesque and being able to go out in the wheelchair helps with the resident's morale. The accommodation is also very pleasant and very clean with lots of activities for the residents to enjoy if they want to.

It is 9 years since my mother became a resident of Ysguborwen after suffering a major stroke. The care and support she receives from the nurses and carers is unparalleled. The staff are so friendly and welcoming and no matter the time of day you visit they are all working hard to ensure the comfort
of the residents. They have a fantastic entertainment and activity programme and I have been lucky enough to visit when a concert, or dancing, is going on. They have a wonderful garden area outside that is used extensively during the warmer months. The home is spotlessly clean, as is my mother's room and it is very obvious they treat my mother's space and personal items with the utmost respect. During what was a very difficult time Ysguborwen, with its staff and carers, have made it a lot more manageable.
I cannot recommend Ysguborwen highly enough and I will always be grateful for the care they have given to my mother.

Amazing staff and activities coordinators. My mum has had the best respite care, the staff are wonderful, she has had a lovely time and I'm so sad she won't be staying as they have done so much for her.
