Review of

Cae Deri

from Gareth O (Resident) published on 2 September 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 1.0 out of 5

I moved to Cae Deri on 18th November 2018 and left in late 2023, living there for nearly five years. I find it odd that reviews are only being requested now that I've left. Cae Deri used to ask for service users' opinions during staff supervision, but after I provided honest negative feedback, residents'
opinions were no longer solicited. Now that I've left, you're asking for reviews, which feels suspicious. I felt unheard at Cae Deri and still do. There was some improvement when the new manager arrived. She decorated the house in colours I selected, which made me feel like I had a voice, unlike the previous manager. Before the new manager, I was left naked in my room, ridiculed by staff, ignored at the table, and treated with sarcasm. Many staff members befriend service users after they leave Cae Deri but avoided me. These same staff members have also avoided adding me on social media. My main concern isn't about social media, but about how poorly they treated me compared to others.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. I am sorry to hear that you do not feel you had a positive experience at Cae Deri in the earlier years of your placement. Although I am happy to read that you felt recognised and included by the new manager currently in place, and hope that she made a positive difference to your overall experience. We appreciate all feedback, and wish you the very best for the future.

I have been a service user at Car Deri Care Home for the past 3 years.
All of the staff are brilliant, caring and meet the needs of service users. I have had not complaints in 3 years and enjoy living here with the support and advice from the staff.

Cae Deri

Due to Covid restrictions, I was unable to visit the care home prior to my mother's admission. My decision to select this care home was done by reading inspection reports online and telephone conversations with the matron. I have received regular updates on Mums condition. Mum always looks clean and
well-groomed in photos on Facebook, and on the occasion, I have seen her, Mum looks happy and has gained weight, which she needed to do. Staff seem caring, and Mum appears to have settled in. Covid restrictions have been adhered to well.

Mond Court Apartments

from Ann S (Grandmother of Resident) published on 14 February 2019
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I would like to comment on the care provided at Mond Court. My grandson is a resident at Mond and is supported by dedicated staff who never fail in their care and professional ability to cope with my grandson who can be quite demanding and has individual needs. I can always rely on staff to respond
to any questions that I may have regarding his care. The facilities provided at Mond are first class and the care plan that is in place only fails when my grandson does not cooperate, although he is always encouraged to do so. I have visited several times and have always had a positive reception from whoever is on duty and another person that I have met. My grandson has a self-contained flat giving him privacy but also has the facility to socialize with other people in the home. We are very pleased with the care my grandson gets at Mond Court and thankful for all the help that is shown to us as a family.

Secure property with helpful and friendly staff. Everything is well maintained and always clean and tidy.
Residents are well provided for and allowed to live as independently as their needs allow.
