Review of

Brwynog

from Karen W (Daughter of Resident) published on 18 September 2024

I cannot praise the staff at Brwynog enough for the exceptional care and compassion they showed my father during his seven-week stay. He was placed there as an emergency and the combination of his declining health and our unfamiliarity with the home heightened our anxieties. However, from my first visit,
it was evident that the staff genuinely cared for my father and all the residents, providing the best possible support even when his behaviour could be challenging.
I would like to extend a special thank you to management for their unwavering support. They ensured I was kept informed throughout this difficult time, despite the fact that I could only visit once a week due to the distance. In my professional capacity, I have visited many residential services and I can honestly say that the care my father received in Brwynog was outstanding, right up until and after his passing.

My mother has been a resident for over three years. They care really good care of her. The carers are very friendly, helpful and very caring. My mother has enjoyed the food. I am informed of any changes in her health by the manager, who is very approachable and informative. This has been a godsend,
especially over the last 18 months with the pandemic. They do a very difficult and demanding job and we are very grateful to them.

This care home is wonderful, the staff are so caring and really do love their residents.
My aunt is 101 years old and the care she gets is second to none. They always have time for you and the Covid rules are strictly adhered to.
I have nothing but praise for this home.
