No real problems with kincaid other than numerous brand new clothing items going missing despite being labelled.
I object to being charged for labelling I feel this should be free.
Have been phoned evening before regarding father's medical appointments to see if I could accompany, far to short notice.
Father's
personal hygiene could improve plus clothing cleanliness although I know my father can be difficult.

Fabulous home for my brother. The home cares for residents with many different mental health conditions and I have experienced first hand their knowledge and experience when asking questions regarding my brothers care . On a recent visit they had a takeaway night which my brother loved . He goes out
in the community to clubs that he enjoys . Staff know him well and he enjoys having a joke and a laugh with them . Staff are friendly and always offer a cup of tea . My brother likes a routine and staff help him with this and explain things in a way he understands . Im sure it's not easy dealing with multiple mental health conditions , but every time I've visited residents are happy . My brother is safe here and most importantly he is very happy . The Manager is very approachable and is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns regarding my brothers care.A very unique and loving home that my brother has thrived in . Thank you to all the staff at The Oaks

Leven Beach Care Home

from L P (Sister of Resident) published on 10 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

The staff have been excellent settling my brother into his new environment. They have done everything they can to ensure this is his new home. The staff are welcoming to family members and have reassured us that he will be well looked after. There are always activities available and clients are encouraged
to take part. A good balance of things to keep my brother stimulated but also quiet areas where people can just have a rest if they wish.
My brother is always clean and well presented. Clothes are changed if they become dirty.
His room is always tidy and clean. Bedding always looks fresh and the bathroom clean too. I like how his room has many personal belongings and that this is encouraged. You always feel when you visit you are offered tea/coffee and very welcoming.
The management team are so approachable and you never feel any request or issue is a problem. Definitely feel the Unit Manager sets an amazing standard which is reflected in the staff.

The care given to our mum was excellent
Over the last 2 years. Sadly passed away a week ago. The care given at this sad time was beyond my expectations.I can without hesitation say the management and staff gave my mum their devoted time and professional care gave me comfort. It was a decision I had
to make 2yrs ago to put mum into care I chose the right one.
Leven Beach Care Home have given me memories of all she accomplished while in there care. But most of all that final day the palliative care given is why I can thank everyone .I know my mum when she was able thanked you also.

My brother has received excellent care in Leven Beach Nursing Home. Staff are always ready to work along with the family and are committed to getting the best possible outcomes for him. He has flourished with the support of staff and settled well. Staff have worked hard to ensure that the nursing home
feels like his home and he has developed positive relationships with staff. He participates in many activities and it's lovely to see photos of him looking happy. Many thanks to all the staff.

Leven Beach Care Home

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

When my brother moved into Leven Beach, he had spent 16 months in an acute mental health ward having been misdiagnosed for years. The experience of being in hospital had been very traumatic and harrowing for both my brother and the wider family.
We had actively advocated for a place at Leven Beach
as they had already cared for another family member and we had seen first hand the excellent care and support of both residents and the family. In particular, we had found the end of life care a to be expectational. The staff could not have been more supportive or sensitive and we came to trust them as the equivalent to members of our extended family.
Since moving into Leven Beach, my brothers quality of life has changed dramatically. He is thriving under their care and through the activities. The best way to summarise our experience is to quote my brother who says 'he could not be any happier' and I cant thank the leadership team and staff enough for making this happen.

Hearing that he is thriving, happy, and engaged is exactly what we strive for, and we are so grateful for your trust in our team. Providing compassionate care, not only to our residents but also to their families, is at the heart of everything we do, and it's wonderful to know that you have felt supported every step of the way. We will be sure to share your words with our team, and we're so pleased that Leven Beach feels like home for him.

I cannot express how grateful I am to the staff and management team for the care given to my mum over the last year and up to her passing in early January 2025. Communication was excellent, and her coordination of the care between staff and the GP was excellent. Not only did they care for my mum, but
they cared for us as a family.

Culduthel Care Home

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My father has been a resident of Culduthel Care Home for the past 3 months, during which time I have been very happy with his care. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There is an extensive range of activities to suit all capabilities and I have accompanied my father to many
of these, which he has enjoyed. The food is varied and nourishing and should he not want anything on the menu there is nothing the staff are not able to provide for him. He eats well and has gained weight in the time he has been there.
The surroundings are beautiful, furnished to the highest standard and there is always tea, coffee and soft drinks available to visitors, along with delicious home baking.
I am always made to feel welcome and can visit any time and stay as long as I like.
I cannot speak highly enough of Culduthel Care Home and feel extremely lucky that my father is now a resident there.

My Aunt stayed at Parklands Care Home over 6 months and was looked after and cared for very well. The staff and especially the nurses were attentive to all her needs. Her room and sleeping area were kept immaculately clean and the care home was well-presented and didn't smell like you expect in a typical
care home.

Overall pleased with the care in the home. Because there have been no events organised during January, I feel the residents are not getting enough stimulation - this should hopefully change as a new events organiser has just started!

Reply from Cameron, Bayview Care Home rep at Bayview Care Home

Thank you for your feedback. We're really pleased to hear that you're happy with the care at Bayview! We completely understand how important activities and social events are for keeping residents engaged and stimulated. January can sometimes be a quieter period due to all the excitement over Xmas and New Year, a time for relaxation and reflection. But to that point, we're excited to have our new activities coordinator on board, and there are lots of great activities planned for the coming weeks and months. We truly appreciate your patience and look forward to seeing our residents enjoy a variety of engaging experiences soon.

My Mum is a resident at Parklands Care Home and has a lovely room with an ensuite. The staff are very attentive and caring, you can tell they build a bond with the residents which is lovely to see. The new manager is fantastic and always has time for a chat. I was really nervous about placing Mum in

We wouldn't hesitate to say that our mum was so happy during her 4 and half years living in St Modans.
Genuinely caring and friendly staff on the floor, always welcoming and helpful. Senior staff are always visible and approachable, always willing to listen and respond to any questions or queries.
As
our mum's life was drawing to a close the care, kindness and love shown to our mum was exceptional, a very peaceful passing with tremendous support for us too as a family.

Staff show respect and compassion to my sister who needed to go into care following a serious fall. My sister loves the friendliness of the staff and everything they do for her. A wee bit disappointed at the lack of more organised activities since the activities coordinator left last year, and I feel
more could be done to keep residents stimulated.
