Kelvinside Manor really is a lovely place. My Mum has been there since February 2025 and she has been very well looked after and is both happy and safe here. Her care needs have increased over the years and the staff at this home have stepped up admirably. Her room is very comfortable and well appointed,
and mum is always beautifully turned out every day. All of the management and staff have been very friendly and professional and nothing seems to be too much trouble. The dining and communal areas are really lovely and the food seems to be excellent. All in all, Kelvinside Manor is a well run, first rate facility that I would have no hesitation in recommending to anyone else.

From my initial meeting with the manager of Kelvinside Manor Care I felt this was the best place for my mum to go for 2 weeks respite care, after which she decided she was like to stay on.
Mum has now settled in to her new environment, and she is being very well cared for by the wonderful staff team.
The home is attractively decorated, light and airy with the benefit of a quiet central courtyard garden with tables and chairs which residents can easily access. My mum's room is fresh and bright with two windows that look out on the courtyard and she sleeps very well there. The communal living area is another bright and attractive room with doors leading out into the courtyard, and there is a 'cafe' in another area of the building which is a nice place to go for a change of scene.
Importantly the food is very good, and my mum loves a particular staff member's excellent home-made shortbread!

Mum has been at Kelvinside Manor since it opened at the end of January. Since then her health and wellbeing has improved greatly as she is being properly cared for and so well looked after in every way.

The manager and her team are all very friendly, professional and caring and have created a wonderfully

warm, welcoming and homely atmosphere.
Mum has a beautiful room and all the communal areas are very comfortable with lovely furnishings and decor, it really is such a wonderful environment.

My siblings and I are so grateful to have found such a lovely home for mum and would highly recommend Kelvinside Manor.

It's a big thing moving into a home, and Kelvinside Manor and all the staff are very aware of the change for the resident and their family. My Mum was made to feel so welcome from day one; there was always someone to tell her what was happening or help her in any way she needed.
My mum's care plan
was put together correctly; time was taken to understand her needs and to make sure she was cared for properly. The staff are genuinely fantastic, and it's clear they love what they do, they offer all the residents the respect and dignity they all so deserve.
I love that they have a cafe, for everyone to use at any time, it means when visiting you don't have to sit in a bedroom but can have a coffee or even a glass of wine from the wine cart and sit and feel like you are out when visiting someone in the home.
I am confident that this is the best place for my Mum, she loves all the staff which is great and I know she is safe and happy which is the most important thing.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful words. We understand just how significant a move into a care home can be, not just for our residents but for their entire family, and we're so pleased to hear that your mum felt welcome and supported from day one. It's incredibly important to us that every resident receives personalised care that reflects who they are, and we're glad this was your experience during the development of your mum's care plan. We're also happy to hear you've enjoyed the cafe and wine cart during your visits. We believe in creating warm, social spaces that help families feel at home, and it means a lot to know this has made a difference to your visits. Your confidence in Kelvinside Manor means so much to us. Knowing that your mum is safe, happy and feels at home is exactly what we strive for. Thank you again for your lovely feedback - we'll be sure to share it with the whole team.

Fabulous home for my brother. The home cares for residents with many different mental health conditions and I have experienced first hand their knowledge and experience when asking questions regarding my brothers care . On a recent visit they had a takeaway night which my brother loved . He goes out
in the community to clubs that he enjoys . Staff know him well and he enjoys having a joke and a laugh with them . Staff are friendly and always offer a cup of tea . My brother likes a routine and staff help him with this and explain things in a way he understands . Im sure it's not easy dealing with multiple mental health conditions , but every time I've visited residents are happy . My brother is safe here and most importantly he is very happy . The Manager is very approachable and is always quick to respond to any questions or concerns regarding my brothers care.A very unique and loving home that my brother has thrived in . Thank you to all the staff at The Oaks

Lovely place and very welcoming. Lovely staff, who always come in when I am on visits for a chat and give me a wee update on how my uncle is doing. Love how he is taken out shopping, for lunches or were ever he would like to go with his carers in the home. He seems very settled and has came on leaps
and bounds. We can't believe the difference in my uncle. Love that you are always made to feel so welcome and offered a cuppa. It's never too much bother to any of the team. Thanks so much.

I can't speak highly enough of this facility. The staff and management are so enthusiastic about individualised care. They go above and beyond to ensure my relative is happy. We have been so surprised to see how far my brother has improved. From someone who didn't even come out of his room, he is now
taking part in music therapy, art therapy and group therapy. He is really unrecognisable. The staff are so caring and professional. The manager is approachable and very knowledgeable; she has helped us feel at ease through the whole process

My daughter is being looked after with the best of care, and she is very happy with her situation. The staff, in The Oaks, are very helpful and friendly and maintain a great atmosphere in the care home. The residents are kept entertained with various activities such as Bingo, quizzes, karaoke and recently
held their own version of (The Oaks Has Got Talent).

All residents have their own TV, plus there is a large television room with reclining seats and a large screen. There are also other communal rooms and kitchens for the residents and their visitors to make tea coffee etc. The furnishings and fittings are of high quality, and the home is kept spotless and fresh.

Finally, all of this is well organised by the manager of The Oaks, who makes time for relatives and is very approachable and welcoming.

My brother has been a resident now for several years, and the care he has received over this time has been second to none.
The management and staff are excellent at what they do and are very friendly; they also keep us up to date on how my brother is doing.
The Oaks has done a magnificent job during
these very trying times, and to keep the home and residents Covid free is outstanding.
We can not praise everyone associated with the home enough. Well done, and keep up the good work.

The level of care that my husband receives at The Oaks is second to none. He is surrounded by an army of well trained, professional staff members. After years spent in rehab units in England, his behaviour and presentation changed literally overnight upon his arrival. The staff is truly dedicated to
making not only his life bearable and decent but mine as well. In The Oaks we have found a safe heaven.

My friend has had mental health problems for years and spent many long term admissions in Hospital. She has spent the last two years in The Oaks and I have seen a vast improvement in her mental state, she is treated with dignity and respect, gained so much confidence and going out which is something
she would never do. I can’t thank the staff and management for their wonderful support not only to my friend but to all residents. I have visited many care homes and none has come as close to the excellence of all the team at The Oaks.

I have been living at The Oaks for 3 and a half years and I would recommend it to others. The staff members are very supportive. They plan days out and activities. Some of the activities we attend are the social club on a Monday evening and once a month, the staff support us to go to a night club in
town that facilitates nights out for people with mental health problems and special needs. The staff are also arranging for us to go on holiday.
This makes me feel that I get to live like a normal young woman even though I need extra support. Staff are always helpful and willing to provide extra support.
The manager is very kind and generous and she finds a way to make us happy, she also goes the extra mile to arrange fun things for us to do.
