Crozier House

from Sharon J (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 October 2024

Words cannot express the amount of gratitude I can pass on regarding the care given to my mother during her stay at Crozier. Mum was treated with compassion and respect and measures taken to maintain her dignity. Her safety needs were met, as mum was reminded to walk with her rolator. Mum was also reminded
to press her buzzer if staff were needed. Mum's sight is poor but she really enjoyed the days craft was taking place and a lot of help ensured she was kept involved.
Crozier is spotless and a nice fresh smell is present on entering. All of the care staff, kitchen staff and cleaners work well together to ensure a safe and welcoming atmosphere in the home. Staff were very welcoming to us as relatives and always had a smile and a wee chat during our visit.
A huge thankyou from my mum and family. Keep up the good work.

I want to thank the staff of Roxborough House for looking after our Mother. Mammy attended the home for 2 weeks in late June 2024 as the family were attending a family wedding abroad. She absolutely loved the care she got. No stone was left unturned. The staff contributed to a very pleasant stay for
Mammy. Thank you so much.

Meadows Day Centre

from Joan F (Day Care) published on 26 January 2021

I have been attending Meadows Day Centre for the past two years. I originally got 1-day a week, which was great. As I am a widow, I find life very lonely most times. Occasionally I was offered a second day which I really enjoyed as well. I am a sociable person and enjoy the company of other people.
Our day starts with a cuppa, followed by some gentle exercises. The staff, who I might add, are all very helpful then divides us into groups according to what we like to do. Some may go reminiscing which is useful to bring people out of themselves, talking about the past and various aspects of the past. Others may prefer some games, dominoes or cards. All keep the mind active. On occasions, we would have a quiz, which is always thoroughly enjoyable. There are other activities as well for some of the clients. I would really recommend this facility for anyone who wanted a different scene for a few hours a week.
Lunch is provided each day at a nominal cost with different choices each day.

Crozier House

from Lara (Daughter of Resident) published on 3 May 2018

My mother used Crozier House for short-term respite between hospital and home.
Excellent facility with all efforts to make layout homely and comfortable. Small number of residents with multiple lounges and private rooms. Immaculate standards of cleanliness. Added to which regular rota of staff and
volunteers who without exception make efforts to put short-term residents at ease e.g. referring by name, chatting and trying to comfort for anxieties or confusion, finding out food preferences to try and encourage a small appetite etc
I never had a moment's concern about the standard of care for my mother's stay. I would recommend the facility to anyone in similar circumstances.
