I feel the staff ratio could improve, 1-4 is poor. This reflects on the lack of activities the clients engage in. Also with poor staff ratio daily living skills and self-help skills are lacking. This area needs to be looked at.

We are sorry that you feel this way, however we can ensure you that your relative lives a fulfilling and achieving lifestyle here at Regis House from 1st June- 15th July, your relative took part in the following activities: Church service, made decorations for D-day and then went to the D-day party, Swimming- 3 times, attended coffee morning 4 times, pub meal out 2-3 times, attended kitty caf in Birmingham, had a BBQ played beer pong and mocktails, went to Wolverhampton for the day, watched the football, helped with food preparations, went to the local community to do shopping and went on holiday to a seaside resort. There is much more that your relative has done in this period of time. We have sent you some evidence in the post for your reassurance. We feel this review does not reflect everything that we do here at Regis House and we are hoping that you are satisfied with your response. My brother receives excellent care in all he does, his day-to-day needs are always met and the staff always give their best to ensure he gets the best care available. Day trips and holidays are catered for with the residents able to pick their own destinations. All medical needs are looked after from
dental, GP, to hospital visits.

I can not praise the staff at Clifton House enough for all they have done for my mom. I greatly appreciate all the hard work and dedication towards the service users. The staff are kind and considerate and go above and beyond for the service users. I would 100 percent recommend it.

The team are absolutely incredible, super patient, understanding and compassionate. They really take the time to get to know the residents and family and really respect and take on board relatives' views and thoughts. They have really made my sister feel at home, comfortable and safe, she feels she
has a safe space to talk about her thoughts feelings and concerns. My sister has come on leaps and bounds and the team have shared my love to see her flourish and grow in her confidence and independence. So many worries have been eased by such a wonderful supportive team. We are so grateful. Thank you for everything!

My uncle is a current service user and has been since September 2022. After years of my grandad struggling to look after him, it is heartwarming to see how well he is looked after in the home. He seems relaxed, happy and much healthier than ever before. We are so grateful to all the staff for helping
him to settle in and for providing so many wonderful opportunities for him to thrive. The sixties are the new forties for him now and that’s fantastic for us to see!

I have a cousin staying at Clifton, and I’ve visited on many occasions over the last 18-months. I’ve always been made to feel very welcome. The property is always immaculate, and the care the service users receive is second to none. They do a wide range of activities and are professional and polite
at all times I would highly recommend them.

My son stayed here on respite in 2021. He has learning difficulties, Autism, challenging behaviour, and BRS.
We were assured that the staff were trained NVQ level 3 before he started. However they did not state they were trained in Autism or Challenging Behaviour, and in hindsight, they weren't trained
in either.
They had problems communicating with my lad (he is non-verbal) and twice, in a period of six months or so, I had to collect him early.
They had the same tools I have to cope with him but were constantly ringing asking questions about how to deal with him.
At the end of the day, we were let down by them with their inabilty to cope with him, and it resulted in them cancelling his contract with no notice.

Sorry to see that you were disappointed with the care that your son received. I must inform you that all employees at Clifton House all hold a NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, they all hold training in Supporting Adults with Autism, Challenging Behaviours, Learning Disability, Safeguarding and Communication. The staff were able to care for your son however the environment was not suited and it was causing an unsafe environment for your son and others that reside here at Clifton house. If you wish to talk to me in person that is not a problem, please do not hesitate to call me. Again I am sorry if you felt that your son was let down, however I strongly feel that this was not the right environment for him. I hope he has now found a suited placement for him to reside at.

I see on the Regis Facebook page all the activities the service users get in involved in which I feel is great to see. Summer fetes are advertised yearly which I always attend, the service users always look happy, full of laughter. Staff work great with the service users providing them with choice and
independence. Overall I would highly recommend this home to others looking for a new home.
