In response to your concerns, we understand that the garden may not be easily accessible for your mother due to her visual impairment and we're more than willing to help accompany her to the garden whenever she'd like to check on her sunflower. We are sorry to read this review. The care at Roman Ridge is not provided by Sanctuary, but by an external agency. However, we take safeguarding very seriously and it's important that all care provided in our retirement community is to the level we'd expect. Regarding your mother-in-law being left in wet clothes, we’re sorry to hear about this and our local team are looking into it with the care provider, as this was not raised with Sanctuary staff. Any other issues raised were dealt with by our management team at the time, and we were not aware of any additional or outstanding issues at the time of move-out. We hope that your mother-in-law is well and settled in her new home.

Complaints made to local management that has been ongoing for some time now.
Complaints put in and often take forever to deal with.
A poorly aligned patio door has supposedly been dealt with several visits, but is still binding against the rubber
The living room door handle mechanism that was supposedly dealt with some weeks ago, whereby I was unable to get into the living room and now is inoperative.
Ongoing issues with dust mites in the living room, whereby I am constantly sneezing.
A pest control guy came around approximately nearly three months ago and put three green boxes in the living room. No explanation as to what purpose these served and are still in the living room waiting to be collected by the pest control guy.
Still having fits of allergy sneezing!!
I am constantly having to vacuum ongoing in the front room every day and the dust container gets filled every day of the week. Other issues as well.

There needs to be improvements in checking electrical faults. My brother's lamp blew up and he sat in the dark for over 10 hours until the maintenance worker resolved his lighting and electrical issue the following day. It was not my brother's fault the electric had blown his main standard lamp. I noticed the lamp was still left standing in his flat the next day and my brother was actually asking me to replace the lamps in it. When I looked inside the lamp fittings, they were blown out. More safety checks need to be done in Hillyard House. I have emailed the manager to ask for this to happen.
