We were made to feel welcome from day one, after 6 months we now feel really settled into a lovely welcoming environment. The care given is excellent and we look forward to the entertainment events and the sing alongs. The food is of a healthy quality and cooked and served very well. The menu is varied
and we look forward to a different dish every day. The home is very clean and secure. My wife feels safe here.

Cwrt Enfys Care Home

from Ann N (Wife of Resident) published on 6 March 2025

My husband had a fall whilst in Enfys Fach broke his hip and spent 4 weeks in Hospital. He was found to have a severe pressure sore on his heel which the home claimed happened in the ambulance but this has been disputed by the hospital. His feet were in a very poor state due to the lack of chiropody
and the home said they had been let down by their provider of this service. Cleaning and poor hygiene are also an issue and no provision is being made for updating or maintenance. Furniture in the dining/lounge area is in a poor condition. Given the cost of the the top up fees do not consider this home.

Reply from Stuart Davies, Quality Compliance Manager at Cwrt Enfys Care Home

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry to hear that your experience at Enfys Fach was not as expected. The wellbeing of our residents is our priority, and we take your concerns seriously.Regarding your husband's pressure sore, we understand that there are differing views on this, and we are working with the relevant professionals to fully understand where this was acquired. We acknowledge the challenges with chiropody services, and the impact that has had, and are addressing this with our provider. We also take cleanliness and comfort seriously and are continually reviewing and upgrading our facilities. We would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further in person. Dad has just spent 9 months in hospital which was not a good experience so was really happy to get him into somewhere before Christmas.
I've not had any experience of care homes before so was a bit anxious about how it would be for Dad. I honestly cannot tell you how great this place is. They've done
more for Dad in a few weeks than the hospital has in months. All the staff I've met have been great, so friendly and so willing to look after the residents. All the staff are just so friendly, and seem happy to be there. The whole atmosphere is just lovely.
Anything you need to know the staff phone you which is great. Any questions you get answers to emails straight away.
Absolutely brilliant place. Massive weight off my mind that Dad can spend his last years with such lovely, caring people.

Both my parents were at Ty Nant, Mum only for a short period but she received the best care while she was there. Dad was at Ty Nant for over 3 years, he had the best support from staff both emotionally and physically. He sadly passed away in November. The whole outlook of this care home is very positive.
The staff are excellent at their jobs and go above and beyond to look after everyone including myself and extended family. I never felt as though anything was too much trouble. The manager was always at the other end of the phone and answered my emails promptly when I needed help. Will miss all of them very much.

My wife has been a resident here for 3 months prior to taking respite visits over the last two years. During the respite visits, it soon became obvious to me that Cwrt Enfys was a very special place full of very special people providing a very high level of care. It also came across as a friendly place
so I had no hesitation in admitting my wife permanently. Now visiting every day I see firsthand and more frequently the high level of care from all Departments as her needs are all attended to in a very loving caring manner. For my part, it is always a pleasure and a privilege to be amongst all the special people here whom I look upon as my friends who have made me very welcome into the family atmosphere that prevails at Cwrt Enfys.
I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for looking after my wife and making myself so welcome.

My mother has been a care home user for a couple of years now, and her needs have unfortunately changed from residential care to nursing care. The transition has been handled by the staff with cheerfulness, kindness, compassion and good humour. Medical needs and dietary requirements have altered, and
been dealt with professionally. On her good days, my mother has a sharp sense of humour and can enjoy a bit of joking and banter with the staff, and it's great to see her laughing and joking again. Overall, we are very happy with the standard of care she is receiving and are confident that any future requirements/changes necessary to her ongoing care will be handled in the right way.

My father has been a resident in The Hollies for 10 years. He receives good care. He is treated with kindness and respect by all. The nursing team are very attentive and don't hesitate to involve the GPs if they think it necessary. The team of carers are first class and ladies of experience.
The manager
of the home is a lady with many years of experience. Before becoming the manager, she was a member of the nursing team and she is held in the highest regard by staff, residents and families of the residents.
As a regular visitor to see my father, I have formed a rapport with all of the personnel and find the whole environment to be warm and friendly.

Dad was admitted to Mill View in June 2024, he had become very poorly and despite my best efforts, it was too much for him to stay at home for end-of-life care. It was an extremely difficult decision to make, however from the moment the nurse came to assess Dad at home (she was so very lovely) we knew
from that we were in safe hands. Due to Dad's complex needs, we were fortunate that he was able to secure a place in Mill View within a week. From the moment that he was admitted the care was simply first class. Nothing was a problem and the staff went over and above to ensure that Dad and I were comfortable. The compassion, dignity, and love demonstrated by all at Mill View were from the heart they all deserve a six-star review - thank you all so very much for looking after Dad and me during his final 48 hours I will be forever grateful.

My mum has been at The Hollies for six months now and myself and other family members are delighted with the care she is receiving at The Hollies. She has a nice, functional room and the communal spaces including a TV lounge, coffee lounge and dining room are all first-class and always kept neat and
tidy. The thing that makes this place so special is the staff who are universally excellent. The management, carers, catering team, cleaners and maintenance do a fantastic job of creating a welcoming and homely environment. My mother was a reluctant resident initially but has settled in really well and is very happy there. This is thanks to the individual attention she has been given to make her content and healthy. There is a vibrant, positive, happy environment whenever I visit thanks to the varied and stimulating programme of activities on offer to the residents during the day which is a really positive aspect of daily life at The Hollies. We are genuinely grateful for this. Thanks!

Dad was admitted to Mill View Care Home July 2023 As a family this wasn't an easy decision it was hard to know if we were doing the right thing but as most of us lived away we had limited options to keep Dad safe. Our fears were eliminated immediately as Dad settled really well. The staff were amazing,
going above and beyond to meet Dad's needs and keep us connected with him through video call. Sadly Dad's stay was short but we are extremely grateful to the staff for making Dad's final months comfortable and happy. Dad referred to the staff as 'Little Angels' and I couldn't agree more. They are a credit to your company and take great pride in their roles treating everyone with dignity and respect. Thank you Mill View Care Home staff for your dedication to the most vulnerable people in your care.

We, as a family, cannot praise the home and all staff enough.
We had to move my father-in-law to Ty Nant in October 2023 for the increased care they offered for his condition, from the first phone call to them we knew this was an extra special place, and upon meeting staff, our minds were put at rest
that our decision to choose Ty Nant was the right one.
The care from day one to the final days of care of our beloved father and grandfather was exceptional.
We cannot thank the manager and the team for the care and love they gave him, we just wish we had been able to move him there earlier.
