I didn't ever want to be in a position of needing care but I must say that this experience of care make me think that I would like to come back here if I had to. The staff are very kind + the rooms very comfortable
I have also enjoyed the companionship of the residents.
I hope one of my children
or my dearest friend will bring me back to visit in the summer
love to everyone who cared for me.

My mother received medical care that was above and beyond what I could have hoped for during a 2 week respite stay. The staff were unfailingly helpful and patient. If my mum can not live at home, there is nowhere else I'd prefer her to be.

Netley Court Care Home

from Kim G (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I bought my father to Netley Court beginning November 2024. He was very reluctant to leave his home and go somewhere strange for him.
With the kindness, care, support of all the staff Dad began to respond to all the staff's lovely manner towards him. Nothing at all was too much trouble for them and
he was regularly checked on through the day and night - cups of tea at any time within the 24 hours.
The staff were extremely supportive to me and my family, at all times, keeping me up to date of how Dad was managing, food intake and speaking with his Doctor on numerous occasions. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
I would highly recommend Netley Court in every way.
I would like to say a massive thank you to all staff at NC (on every level) for giving my Dad a very peaceful loving experience in his last 7 months of his life. Thank you.

Reply from Sarah Gillett, Homes admission advisor at Netley Court Care Home

Oh.... thank you so much... we so so so loved Dad as you know. His smile was infectious and his laughter a delight. We miss him so much and are so glad you chose Netley Court so we could be a part of his life and yours. Come visit soon!

We looked for a care home for my father in law for a while and after being recommend to go and look at Netley Court we decided to make a visit. The impression we received was of a very caring home where the staff were clearly involved with the residents on a personal level and it was obvious that this
was a really well run care home with caring staff and management. The food was excellent and staff happy to make something for you off the main menu if required. There were also numerous activities going on and all displayed on the activity board in order that we could preplan. I would have no hesitation in recommending Netley Court to any prospective user.

My mum came in for some respite after a hospital fall. The plan was for her to come home. We had tried to get her into respite for many years but she refused. After a few weeks at Hartwood, mum made the decision that she wanted to remain here permanently! We are blown away by the incredible staff here
and the care they show everyone from each-other, the residents and visitors. Hartwood House is more than a care home - its a home!

Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind words. It is such a daunting process for any one thinking about coming into a care home, I am so glad that we were able to give Mum such a positive experience. The fact that she has chosen to stay is just wonderful news, she has made such a good group of friends and to see her interacting and joining them for meal times is so lovely! We really are a family here at Hartwood House and the residents and their loved ones are a part of that also. We are so glad to have you all with us.

The care I received for my Uncle was excellent, he obviously had some doubts but was made to feel welcome from the very beginning. The staff were polite and nothing was to much trouble for them. The room was clean and obvious thought had gone into the design with a themed hallway throughout. The home
is situated close to the village so convenient for residents and visitors, although this was a temporary stay I would have no doubts about making this a permanent stay if and when it would be needed.

Reply from Charlotte Dean, Home Admissions Advisor at Hartwood House Care Home

Thank you so much for your heartwarming review. It is such a difficult time for the resident and their families when coming into a care, even if its just for respite. I am glad to hear that the staff made you and your Uncle feel at ease, that is exactly what we are here for. Sunnybank House Care Home

from C A (Resident) published on 21 February 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband has dementia and we go to two meetings a week at Sunnybank House Care Home, on a Monday is coffee and cake, sometimes there is entertainment or we have quizzes or play games, which help a lot with memory. On the Wednesday it is a Ladds and Lattee morning. Where games are played and they talk
to help recall their memories. Their partner goes in a different room for coffee, where we can have a good talk about what's going on and help if any is needed. It is very good all round.

Reply from Jessica Wooldridge, Home Admissions Advisor at Sunnybank House Care Home

Thank you so much for sharing your experience at Sunnybank House Care Home. It's heartening to hear about the wonderful activities and support they provide for both individuals living with dementia and their partners. The Monday sessions with coffee, cake, entertainment, quizzes, and games sound fantastic for memory support and social interaction. The Wednesday Lads who Latte mornings, where games and conversations help recall memories while partners have a space to talk and support each other, seem incredibly valuable as well. It's great to know that these meetings offer such a positive and supportive environment for everyone involved

Sunnybank House Care Home

from J D (Daughter of Resident) published on 14 February 2025

My mum was previously in another care home as Sunnybank was full when she was discharged from hospital. 3 months later, we moved her to Sunnybank and she settled immediately. The staff are always amazing, courteous, kind, always treating her with the utmost respect and dignity. She has previously enjoyed
the entertainment and activities such a great variety. The only reason I can't put excellent for value for money is that care home fees in general are extortionate. Sunnybank is in line with others but all are so overpriced.

Reply from Jessica Wooldridge, Home Admissions Advisor at Sunnybank House Care Home

Your review radiates such warmth, and genuine appreciation and is truly heartwarming. It's lovely to hear that the time spent at Sunnybank House was marked with the dignity and respect every resident deserves. An inclusive activity plan indeed plays a significant role in ensuring all residents feel valued and engaged, and it is wonderful that your mum enjoyed her time here so much.T hank you for sharing your experience; feedback like yours is invaluable and encourages the team to continue delivering such high standards of care.

The team at Wellington Vale are outstanding. I cannot recommend this care home enough. Upon entering it is like a 5-star hotel, so welcoming from the start. All the staff are amazing, so kind, caring, well trained and knowledgable. They all respect their residents, treating them as individuals, preserving
their dignity and promoting a wonderful sense of self-worth. The ratio of staff to residents is evident every time we visit, all staff are cheerful, never seem to be in a hurry so they have plenty of time to attend to the needs of individual residents without having to rush them. The meals are awesome, homecooked and well thought out with plenty of choices. I am pleasantly surprised that my mum has settled in so well, she feels safe, secure and part of a large family at Wellington Vale. The Home Admissions Advisor and team certainly exceed all expectations. Thank you to everyone.

My mother-in-law always dreaded going into a care home, we were so pleased when we found Wellington Vale. The members of staff are lovely, caring, approachable, great at keeping the family updated and asking for our input. We've been to a few events here the best was the carnival on bule Monday, it
was such fun, the residents were dancing, laughing and smiling. Those in bed could see the float as it passed by their door and they had visits from the various members of staff in fab fancy dress, it was a joy to watch and be part of. Well done everyone and thank you.

I was recommended to this comfortable, large luxury establishment, which looks at feels more like a hotel than a care home. I have been very well looked after. It has given me peace of mind to know that help and support is available when it is needed. All the staff I have come into contact with are

My Dad went into Hartwood House on 2nd January 2025. He was greeted in reception by many of the staff which was lovely and welcoming. We were all shown to his room which is a lovely room overlooking the gardens. Dad asked "is this my room, wow, it's lovely". He went off to have his first lunch which
was sirloin steak and a lovely glass of red wine, what a lovely first lunch. Dad is attended to with such loving care and he appears beautifully settled in such a short space of time, under three weeks. He looks so much better now, clean clothes, freshly shaved and looking so much better in himself.
