I chose Parkfield Grange as it's said to have a good reputation and it's recommended by the surgeon who carried out my hip replacement. This has certainly proved to be the case especially when I had pain in the chest and staff called an ambulance and went to hospital. On my return the good service resumed
and I have to say I'm so pleased to have come here and would do so again if necessary.

Reply from Emily Hocking, Home Admissions Advisor at Parkfield Grange

We were only too happy to support you following your hip replacement surgery. It's great to hear that you enjoyed your stay, and should you be in a position to, you'd recommend us to others.

My lovely mum had 4 weeks of excellent respite care at Parkfield Grange. It gave us valuable breathing space to sort out care going forwards (relocation to be nearer to me) and during her stay she was well fed and received kind and compassionate care from the wonderful manager and his team.

Thank you for your kind words about our service and the care that your mother received, it was so lovely to be able to get to know her and support her during her stay. We of course wish her all the best in her relocation

I was in Sutton Park Grange a few weeks ago for respite care. I can only speak most highly of the experience. All the staff were kind and helpful at all times, obviously well trained. The food was good and there were activities every morning and afternoon which is essential for socialising. I would
recommend it without question.

The resident continues to complain about the small size of the meals.I have spoken to management about this issue and there was an improvement but it seems to have fallen away again.
My main concern is the failure of the home to administer prescribed medication on Monday 10th March. The resident rang
me at approximately 7pm to say that she had not been given any of her medication on that day.She was breathless on the phone and said she felt really ill She said she had asked for her tablets and been told that they had not come .I rang the home at about7.40 pm and complained and asked them to rectify the situation. The resident rang me on the 11th at 10am to tell me she had just been given her medication. She was still breathless and I suggested she stayed in bed as she said she had not slept much. The resident has atrial fibrillation and high blood pressure and ensuring that she receives her prescribed medication is an essential component of her care.

Reply from Su Edmonds, General Manager at Sutton Park Grange

Thank you for sharing your feedback. As we discussed during our recent telephone conversation. Unfortunately, as the registered manager I have not had the opportunity prior to now to address these issues, directly, with you, but I am committed to ensuring they are properly addressed. Regarding meal portions, our team strives to provide a high standard of care, including ensuring that all residents are satisfied with their meals. We recently welcomed a Hospitality Supervisor whose primary focus is enhancing our dining service. Already, we have seen positive developments. In relation to the medication concern, as we discussed, medication management involves three separate organisations responsible for prescribing, dispensing, and administering. Following an investigation, it was found that while our team had requested the medication, delays occurred externally, however we will take any lessons from this. We value your feedback and are committed to continuous improvement.

Choosing a permanent residential care home for mom, who has Alzheimer's, is definitely up there with the most difficult decisions we have ever had to take.
We viewed many homes, but from the first time of visiting we were impressed with the level of professionalism, support, understanding and services
being provided.
There is a genuinely caring atmosphere, a respect for all the residents and understanding of what the whole family is going through. The facilities are well maintained and have the feel of a luxury hotel, whilst being safe, secure and fit for purpose.
To our surprise and great pleasure we have just found out our 82 year old mom has a talent for drumming something she has never done in her life!

Choosing care facilities for a loved one is a frightening experience. Parkfields from the start alleviates your fears. All of the care staff share one characteristic in common and that is they are all very kind. Whilst care is professional there is a very relaxed feeling about the care home. My mother
arrived 6 months ago, she took time to settle as I was worried but now I rest easy knowing she is safe, warm but above all happy. In the circumstances Parkfields have achieved everything in my family.

Reply from Emily Hocking, Home Admissions Advisor at Parkfield Grange

It's so lovely to hear that your mother is settled and that you are reassured by her living with us. Our team work hard to support people for the difficult decisions families face when choosing a care home, so your comment about how you felt during the process, is great to hear.

Dad has now had several respite stays at Sutton Park Grange over the past few months, and what a wonderful place it is!
The decor and ambience are incredible, but the staff are even better. The menu is varied and tasty, there are plenty of things to get involved in daily if you wish, but with the rooms
as plush as they are, spending time catching up on your favorite TV in your room is also a good option.
Dad is very impressed with Sutton Park Grange, so we can't recommend it enough!

Mum moved into Eastcote Park a month ago from another care facility. (Eastcote had always been our No 1 choice). A superb luxury caring, professional facility that I can find. No fault with activities, trips and musical performances are a regular treat. From professional and caring staff to lovely fellow
residents. Five star ratings.

Most impressed with the home, more like an up market hotel than a residential home, but it was the staff that that I noticed most. They were to a person helpful, friendly and genuinely gave the impression they knew their job and enjoyed working there.
I have visited people in a number of homes over
the years and nothing comes close to this one. My Godfather feels safe, very well cared for and content, he is now a permanent resident, also your meals are something else. Well done.

Reply from Emily Hocking, Home Admissions Advisor at Parkfield Grange

I have been here as a friend/companion of a resident. The attention and care I have witnessed is excellent. Being away from one's home could not be better replaced then at Sutton Park Grange. Attention to detail and quality of the surroundings is second to none. Staff at all levels are kind, approachable

Mom went into Sutton Park Grange for extended respite care after a spell in hospital. Her physical and mental health has greatly improved. She has enjoyed the variety of activities and trips out that the home offers as well as interacting with the carers and other residents. The home is exceptionally
clean and offers a wide choice of meals to suit all tastes. All of the staff are very helpful, kind and supportive of mom's needs. I never worry when I leave after a visit. It is a lovely home with well-cared for residents.
