My father was only in The Grange Nursing Home for just three weeks. In that short time I cannot fault his care. He was able to return his dignity right up until the end.

My wife suffers from advanced dementia and is unable to do anything for herself. After it became impossible for me to care for her myself at home she became a resident of St. John's Home in Oxford for the past thirteen months. Both our daughter and I have been able to visit her regularly, so this review
is based on our personal observations over this period. She indicates to us that she is settled and as comfortable as can be. The staff is very professional, courteous, approachable, helpful and kind from managerial to caring, cleaning, and catering. Her room is comfortable, adequately furnished and kept perfectly clean. The care ladies pay attention to her complete needs, feeding, cleaning, personal hygiene and laundry. She is visited and checked weekly by a local GP and her medications are dispensed. Activities are organised regularly and my wife reacts well to music. I endorse St. John's as an excellent care home and the best that can be done for my dear wife.

My Aunt resided at The Grange Nursing Home for five years.
The staff here became her second family, she was well cared for. I was always kept informed of any changes to my Aunt's condition and was always made welcome when I visited her. When my Aunt passed away, staff came in on their days off to pay
their respects, my aunt would have appreciated that and as her niece, I can't thank the staff enough for what they did for her. I will certainly miss my visits to The Grange.

The care at The Grange is out of this world. In all of my 40 years of business, I have never met staff and management so devoted to the well-being of their residents. They are all very polite, helpful and very caring. In all of the 16 months my wife was there everything was done for her comfort and
wellbeing. I have been very impressed with them all.

My mum was admitted for end-of-life care. She was with you for just over 3 weeks, during this time she received excellent care and the staff were all friendly when we came to visit. She had a lovely room overlooking the garden and, whilst she had wanted to die at home, this was the next best thing.

She was welcomed into the community for the last few months of her life. Staff were helpful, caring and friendly and always happy to talk with us. The grounds were particularly important, enabling frequent trips into pleasant surroundings on the doorstep. We were very pleased to find a safe and reassuring

As she became older, my mum moved in here from another 'care' home. As happens, she passed away whilst at Maesglas. Upon her arrival, the staff put her absolute well-being first, spending time and energy seeking ways to cope with health challenges that no one else had been prepared to tackle, they were
tackled successfully with the help of the social workers and office as well. All of the staff were great, the senior team are very focussed on their guests, spending time helping them with any needs (e.g. using a mobile phone) even when they're clearly very busy. They organised a proper Christmas party and take time to have entertainment and activities on the go. The manager is doing a great job. In the past, the home was owned by a different company and things were not so good, since the new ownership/manager/team/investment you should have no worries for your family member to move here, if only the same level of interest in guests' well-beings were shown in all establishments!

My mother was in The Grange Nursing Home from spring 2023 - 1st January when she passed.
My father was in for nine weeks and passed in September 2023.
They were both cared for with dignity and understanding. My mother was quite a one for changing behaviour. The carers were excellent and the food
was very good.
My only wish is that there had been more activities.
They both had a good death, warm and comfortable in loving surroundings.
