The care my father is currently receiving at Durban House is excellent. The care shown to my father by the team is remarkable given the number of residents they have in their care. I can speak for both my partner, sister and mother whom all visit regularly and nothing is too much trouble for the carers.

into the job and did there work with love dad has now passed and I know he had the best care. Thank you Durban House for all your hard work.

My Father-in-law has been at Durban House since May 2024, sadly he died yesterday but I just wanted to thank all the staff for their care, compassion and hard work. It is much appreciated and although he could be a little difficult at times they were so patient and caring and for that I thank them
from the bottom of my heart. My husband and I agree this is by far the best Home he was in and was as happy as he could be. They made him as comfortable as they could in his final days and made us feel he was really cared for.

Mum settled down very well after a few hiccups. Some days mums is fine and others she is not but the carers seem to cope with her moods. Some carers seem very busy but others sit back. Medically she is cared for very well and its nice they keep us in touch. Nice to see the garden being done.

My friend was transferred to Durban House from another nursing home by his wife, this was because of the lack of care. From what I have observed over the last few visits I have made to Durban House, the staff and level of care are so much better. The staff I have seen show such wonderful compassion
and interest in the residents. I saw a vast improvement in him today; he was much more animated and seemed happier. This was such a joy to see. Thank you to the staff, I know it's not an easy job, but I can see you care for the residents.

My father is so happy, the staff are great. He knows everyone and they make him feel normal if you know what I mean, they treat him as normal. Nothing is a problem, we ask for help and they support the family. This is the best care home he has ever been in. He is safe and it's the best for him, even
on bad days they really help him.

Since the staff and management underwent changes this year, the care is noticeably more engaged with the residents. Staff are friendly towards visitors. My mother-in-law had a birthday and much effort was put in by staff to give her a good time. Also, a very successful BBQ was held on another occasion
for everyone.

The atmosphere is cheerful when we visit and the staff are always welcoming and, more importantly, are attentive and caring with the residents. They have good activities - last week they had a couple of outings - our mother was taken with a group of the residents for a river trip on a barge. They all
had a good time.
The residents and their families and the staff are getting ready for a summer party with entertainment that will be held next weekend.

My husband has been at Durban House for a year. I am very pleased with the care he receives. There is a lovely, warm homely feeling about Durban House. There are lots of activities and the food is very good. The staff are lovely, caring, and kind, and always ready to help with any questions I have.
My thanks to all at Durban House.

Overall, very pleased with the staff and the kindness shown to residents, the time they give to help each individual. Very clean, warm and welcoming.
Mum is always clean and tidy and well-fed. Daily tea trolleys with cake and fruit are encouraged for residents.

Very pleased with Mum's care. We receive regular updates for Mum and the home. We used the bistro recently for Mum's birthday, and the family were made to feel welcome, and the home made a cake and the staff sang Happy Birthday.

An excellent caring home with staff that really care. Lovely rooms, nicely decorated with a wonderfully calm atmosphere. Stepdad has only been staying for a few months but was constantly reassured by staff to help him settle in. Staff communication throughout his settling-in period was first class -
thank you.

Following an outbreak of sickness and diarrhoea, my mother was quite unwell and continues to be, although slowly improving, the care and compassion of the staff have been wonderful, attentive and caring, Thank you.
The food for lunch is a little hit and miss for Mum, she preferred the other female
chef prior to the new chef, and issues like meat cut to thick ham, beef etc, (she can’t cut with the knife supplied, too blunt) too much mash potato, not enough variation, appreciate there is a wide variety of different needs however my mum will go without rather than ask for help. She cannot afford to lose any weight.

Mum spent nearly 3 years at Durban House. She arrived there during covid which was difficult for all concerned but once she settled in she was very happy there and well treated. The care staff and management were extremely kind and good to her. From my point of view, I was treated very well by all concerned
and kept well informed.
At the very end of her life, her care couldn’t have been better and was a great comfort to me and my wife.
