Oakside

Oakside has provided invaluable care and assistance to my daughter going above and beyond their obligations in providing a truly amazing criteria and care package on a regular basis without prompts from myself or my wife to develop her skills and awareness to a level not seen before when she resided
at home. Her cognitive abilities have increased, and her inherent stress levels have decreased since residing at Oakside. We are amazed at her positive progress in all aspects since she became a resident.

Oakside

Cannot fault the staff at Oakside - all so welcoming and friendly of both my elder sister and us as a family too. We all feel fully included and like we are still part of day to day life, despite us not living all together. The environment is perfect, decorated just as it would be at home, modern and
homely - why should young people with additional needs live like a second rate citizen. The activities are amazing, each young person has their own diary and always occupied - living their own lives to their best! Oakside is like no other respite or residential home that I have ever seen; it is just like an extended family!

Our daughter is disabled and wheelchair-bound. She has been at home for 22-years with us as we have never found a residential facility that was good enough and that would meet her needs. Then we moved to Dorset in December last year and found Oakside at Tailored Transitions. Oh my goodness - just amazing!
It's
a home that really is home from home for young adults - and the key point is that the owners and staff really do care for the residents. Not lip service, just real actions, and they deliver unbelievable care and respect to our daughter. It's like a 5-star facility, not a fifth-rate facility. Accommodation is how we would do it as her parents, we chose her room, the home painted it the colour we wanted, assembled her wardrobes and made it special for our daughter. Meals are thought through and tasty catering for every individual who has special needs for feeding, and the focus on her wellbeing and medical requirements is 100% and spot on!
