one to one care 24/7.
Never have I met such devoted staff to residents. The smiling faces under such pressure of work is amazing. They are so dedicated. I feel happy that my husband is getting the best of care there.
I visit 5 days a week at various times ( morning ,afternoon and night) and stay
minimum of 2 hours a day, either in his room or downstairs where other residents are. The carers are devoted to make each day a good day for the residents.
The nursing staff always have time for you if you feel the need to catch up on any health related info and are always helpful and kind.
The manager is always approachable and has made immense effort to update the building and everything that comes under her job role. The entertainment and special themed days gives the residents something to look forward to each day. I see lots of game playing and mental entertainment for all abilities.
The food is very good, and varied with plenty of it. I would not want my husband to be anywhere else.

My mum has been at Burton Court for over three years. The staff have always been excellent. They are extremely caring and between them, they have a lot of experience, particularly with tricky situations and challenging behaviours.
There have been a fair few changes in management over the time Mum
has been a resident but things have always been improving. The food always seems to be great, the lunches are always varied and include plenty of vegetables. A new chef started recently and now that Mum is on 'easy to eat' food, it's nice to know that the chef cares about what's on the plate and how it looks.

The nursing home is big with enough parking, even if at times have to park on another site. Easy to access. All staff are very kind and friendly. The home looks clean. Staff go above and beyond and offer my mum and me refreshments at times which is very kind. All staff speak to my aunt and ask how she
is. Only thing I would say, it is such a shame the bedrooms aren't bigger - my aunt's is small. The rooms need to be ensuite too, which would make the residents feel much nicer, as if they were in their own home. Especially residents like my aunt who can look after own personal care themselves.

Since moving into Trent Court, we have been very happy with the care my dad has received. He is always washed and clean-shaven when we visit and I can always find out how he has eaten or how he is sleeping. I am also kept fairly well-informed on any changes or problems concerning my dad. He is treated
with care and respect. One thing that seems missing is a lack of entertainment for the residents, in-home or from external providers.

I understand staff have to have holidays but I think the reception area needs to be covered at all times. There were 3 lots of visitors today who had to wait quite a while to be let in.
After obtaining entry everything was fine.

Me and Mom find it difficult at times seeing Dad when he's not good but we cope because we know he's cared for and the staff are doing an amazing job with him. We also realise he's gonna get worse but are reassured with the thought that he's in the right place with the right people who he's taken to
and so have we, we've become close with most of the staff there but would be hard not to seeing them 3/4 times a week for over 2 years we're all human and all want the best for Dad, I think a few staff don't quite know how to take us because we are very friendly and love you all for having Dad's best interests at heart and kind of show that when we're there having a laugh that's what we believe makes the care home very professional the respect from us to them for doing a fantastic job and from them to us knowing we care and are most thankful. The idea of talking to robots and not real honest people is not for us and want to thank you all so much the cooks, cleaners nurses and carers. Thanks.

Given our brother/brother-in-law hasn't been in very long overall we are "happy". Recently had a family meeting with the new manager and I was very impressed with future ideas and plans. We personally had just one issue and a promise was made to improve/look into it, once this is addressed were have
no further issues or complaints at this moment in time. Feel we can confidently say we recommend Smithy Bridge Court.

Thank you to all of the incredible staff team who work so hard to support and care for my aunt. She is very happy at Smithy Bridge. As a family this month the team went above and beyond ensuring our aunt and sister had a great birthday celebration. The staff helped with a little party, dancing, singing
and spreading lots of joy! It was lovely making treasured memories.
Thanks once again.

My mother has been a resident for nearly 2 years now. I manage to visit at least every 2 weeks. On most occasions, my mother has been well dressed and cared for with a cup of tea and biscuits on the go. I usually arrive late morning which is a good time for everybody concerned. I leave just before lunch
so as not to get in the way. The care staff do a great job. I can see that some residents are challenging but they cope admirably. The new manager has great ideas and plenty of enthusiasm we wish her well in her new role. Keep up the good work everyone!

Since being at Smith Bridge Court, my mother's health and mental well-being have improved greatly. The staff are so friendly and adore her. I am confident that she feels very much at home and that she is well cared for. Family meetings are often held, and the management team listen to ideas and suggestions
from us.
Keep up the brilliant work and thanks to all the staff who make my mum's life so comfortable.

A lovely, nurturing care home, with some very caring staff. The new manager seems very welcoming and passionate.
The team are always willing to go that extra mile for Mum, taking her out shopping, doing her makeup and taking her out for regular coffee trips to the local cafe.

I visit my auntie every 4-6 weeks. On every visit I always find the staff to be extremely caring and helpful. They are always willing to oblige and nothing is too much trouble for them. My uncle and I have full peace of mind when we leave the home knowing full well that my antie will be looked after
with genuine kindness and compassion. It's almost like she is one of the family. I really appreciate the care and kindness the staff show. They are completely devoted. A huge thank you for all you do.

From the first day, my wife has received the best care and attention from all the staff, both day and night. Nothing is too much trouble for them. If there is any problem, it is discussed and a solution is achieved. My daughter and my son who visit regularly have commented on the service my wife has
received. We are aware the staff have made my wife's time at the home comfortable and safe. Her cleanliness is second to none. I did not want my wife to come into a home but I admit this home has been a revelation.

Dad lived here for over a year until he passed away on the 1st of March.
Without Smithy Bridge, I wouldn't have got through the final stages of Dad's dementia. Not only did they do an amazing job at caring for Dad but the support they have given me and even after he has passed is just out of this world.
While Dad was there I was relaxed and able to start enjoying my life too knowing Dad was being so well cared for. They genuinely do care.

The room and brother was filthy with food on the floor and his clothing.
Brother and sister-in-law found his water bottle with floating black stuff in it and the drinking straw was black with some sort of mold. Been in hospital for 10/11 days and this is what he came back to. Official complaint raised

This leaves ones you do have stretched to accommodate everyone there.
