This is a modern purpose built care home. It is extremely well run with caring staff who all come across as individuals who really care, are always ready to help and appear happy and fulfilled in their work. A wide range of activities are available seven days a week. My mother was isolated and lonely
as well as prone to worry before moving here. Since then she has turned a corner and is perfectly content.

My mum has settled in well due to the staff, pleasant, kind and respectful manner at all times. The whole building is spotless. The rooms are welcoming and home from home. Lots of things to do on a day-to-day basis which is good for the mental state of my mum. Any questions are always answered at any
time. Very much like a calm space and very sociable people who seem to enjoy each other's company.

We could not be happier with Brockington House. Just knowing my mother is receiving the best and kindest care we could hope for gives us peace of mind. She is comfortable and content. The manager and staff are warm and attentive to her and communicative and understanding with us. None of this comes
cheaply, of course, but we are prepared to pay the high fees to ensure her utmost well-being.

Mum has been here for over four years now and it's a lovely place for its residents. I've recently visited a number of homes in the area and Brockington House is, most definitely, one of the best and vastly better than most. The building is a safe, clean and good-looking place but of course. it's the
staff that make the difference. Cleaners, maintenance, admin, activities, physio, hairdresser, management, nurses and carers - they're absolutely marvellous. Caring, knowledgeable: keeping residents safe and happy.

My mother has been living at Foxhunters for about 18 months now and I have to say that the care she has received has been first class. She is happy and content and they properly manage every aspect of her day-to-day living and care. I would not hesitate in recommending Foxhunters to anyone. The home
is clean and well run and the staff are absolutely fantastic and brilliantly trained. The food is excellent, particularly the specially arranged buffets and birthday or other special occasion lunches.

My mother had the very best support anyone could wish for at Glenburnie Lodge. Every member of the plays their part. They gave love in copious amounts to Mum and all of the family. When days were good and continue now things are clearly dark. We could never have foreseen what end of life would be like
and to be honest Glenburnie Lodge has exceeded our expectations. I personally couldn't be more grateful. My mum deserves the best and she got it!

I am delighted with everything, Mum's room is lovely, the whole building is very light and cheery with a beautiful garden which I'm sure will come into its own come spring/summer next year. The most important thing for me is that I feel Mum is in competent hands, all the staff are fabulous, it's a home-from-home
situation.

My mother has been a resident at Brockington House for over three years. After a couple of months, she was moved to the dementia unit where she settled very quickly. The care she receives is excellent, she is treated with kindness and dignity at all times and I am always kept informed of anything that
relates to her.
The manager has always been extremely professional and helpful with anything that I have requested, as has every single member of staff who will do everything they can to ensure the residents are well cared for, happy and safe.

Mum and Dad moved into Brockington House September 2020 during lockdown. Their need for care was urgent and we feel fortunate that a room was available at very short notice. Dad, sadly, died four months later. Mum stayed on and is now 100 years old. Over the last four years, all the staff have been
wonderful. She is very well cared for in this beautiful home and when we visit, our family are made to feel welcome as part of the Brockington community! A lovely party was arranged for her big birthday and Mum was thoroughly spoilt. We highly recommend Brockington House and their kind, dedicated, caring staff. Thank you.

The care and concern at Foxhunters for all residents is outstanding. My mum is so much more settled now and loves everyone! Despite her mixed dementia, she tells me every day how lovely the staff are and how clean it it and she has lovely food! Mum now thinks of this as home, which is the most reassuring
thing for our family as moving her to Foxhunters from Pembrokeshire was a huge decision and rather challenging A quote from mum recently: "Every night they knock on my door to check if I'm safe in bed and if I need anything- they are wonderful!" December has been challenging for Foxhunters with the storm stopping the Christmas fayre and then Influenza A requiring lockdown to keep residents safe - but everything the staff do is in the best interests of residents. They made a huge effort to support well residents still to have fun at this festive time. We were immensely grateful to be able to take mum out to be with family on Christmas Day and the welcome on her return was so special.

Both my parents are in Foxhunters. In May 2024 my mother was hospitalised for 3 weeks. Without hesitation, the staff at Foxhunters volunteered to take my father to visit her when she was transferred to the local hospital. Over and above what they needed to do.

As soon as we entered Brockington House, we knew that it was the right place for my mother... It's like walking into a five-star hotel! My mother has now been in here for twelve months and during that time, she has been looked after so well - nothing is too much for all the carers.
There are so many
comfortable sitting areas for all the residents if they need some peace and quiet and so many wonderful organised games that they can join in if desired.
All in all, a wonderful retirement home/hotel.

My dad has been a resident at Brockington since April 2024. I cannot fault the care of the staff, who feel like an extension of our family already. They are always looking for ways to make residents feel special, whether that is with birthday celebrations - the cakes are delicious, or with their ´resident
of the day'. Dad thinks the carers, housekeepers, nurses, activities organisers and receptionists are all brilliant; they make any visitors feel welcome, they all know dad well and show affection for him. There is always someone available to call on, speak to and ask questions of. Dad has been made very welcome since he moved in and although the transition from living at home to moving into a care home has been challenging, the staff at Brockington could not have done any more to help dad settle. Thank you.
