Upton Manor Care Home

from C B (Friend of Resident) published on 14 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My friend had recently moved into Upton Manor and she can not stop talking about how wonderful everyone has been to her, you can genuinely see the smile in her face each time we see her. She absolutely loves getting stuck in and joins the activities and events, they always have something going on, she
has formed many new friends and says everyone she has met so far has been loving and kind to her.
The home is always clean, warm, and full of laughter, and we know the staff are always a phone call away if we ever need an update or have a concern.
One of the things that truly sets Upton apart is the incredible range of activities they offer
There's always something happening. The activity person is outstanding she really does go out of the way and I know my very dear friend is truly happy and loves everything that happens a huge credit to the home. To have these teams in home they make all the difference.
She really is happy and Upton is how you want a care home to be.

I returned to Edwalton Manor as I had stayed before for a few weeks respite, and I enjoyed it so much that when my care needs increased, I didn't hesitate to move back in. There are lots of activities, friend and family are welcome and I can eat my meals in either the dining rooms or my own room. I
have found the personal care to be very good, and the staff are friendly and pop in for frequent chats with me and are always smiling.

Visiting my brother for the first time after only five days in his new home. I'm amazed at how settled and happy he appears. He said she's lovely, she's lovely, she's lovely, pointing to the staff and residents. Beautiful bright room and building. Very comfortable and settled. He was excited about walking

Having had experience of several care homes in the area. There is no doubt that Montague House is by far the best in that I was not only well looked after but every day I was very happy to be one of the residents. I was encouraged to join in some of many groups and my health has benefitted from the
physio, yoga in particular. The staff were always friendly + willing to help. I enjoyed my stay enormously.

Montague House Care Home

from P W (Wife of Resident) published on 14 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My husband needs care for all his personal needs - so when I have a break he needs to come into care. This March he has stayed at Montague House for 4 weeks. He has experience pf other care houses in the district and Montague House has been a completely different experience. It has been amazing. He
has been very happy becoming more like his 'old self', sociable and eager to join in activities. He has been treated with respect and interest. I can only say it has been a wonderful experience for both of us. We shall certainly let others know what a happy, professional and caring home Montague Home is.

Reply from Jacqueline Brown, Regional Community Relations Lead at Montague House Care Home

Thank you so much for your glowing review. We're honoured that you chose Montague House for your husband's stay, and it's wonderful to hear how much it meant to both of you. Seeing him regain his sociable spirit and enjoy the activities is exactly what we strive for. Your kind words about the respect and care he received mean so much to our team. We look forward to welcoming you both again and are grateful you'll be sharing your experience with others.

Mum's care at Chawley Grove has been wonderful. All the staff have been so friendly and caring towards her, and also supportive to me, as I have been unwell. Mum always looked immaculate, and her room was always clean and tidy. I have also been amazed at the variety of activities available every day
for the residents, so important. I really could not have chosen a better home the whole atmosphere there from reception/office to carers and other staff is one of warmth, kindness and care/concern. Thank you Chawley Grove for taking such good care of mum!!

Dorking Manor Care Home

from P S (Son of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

We visited five or six care homes in the local area and Dorking Manor was by far the best, in our opinion. Hamberley is an established care home provider with multiple UK locations. DM is a brand new building. We liked that it was designed from the outset as a care home - lift access, wide corridors,
hand rails, ensuite bathrooms. Excellent range of facilities. Warm and friendly environment. Wide range of activities. Personalised care. Our mother receives a high standard of care and has settled in well.

Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Dorking Manor Care Home

Edwalton Manor Care Home

from Helen P (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

All the staff were extremely friendly and approachable
The home was very flexible with the urgent arrival of Dad followed by Mum a few weeks later this time into a double room (suite)
The atmosphere in the home was warm and friendly, with lots to do and nice areas for visitors and residents to relax
and enjoy time with family
Nothing seemed to be too much trouble for the staff or management.

What sets this care home apart is that it feels more like a hotel than a care home, the staff are professional but feel like family. Excellent all round.

Cofton Park Manor Care Home

from Julie R (Daughter of Resident) published on 10 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother was a resident at Cofton Park Manor for 2 years. She soon found a sense of community here, established firm friendships and made her sunny garden room her new home. All of the staff play their part in this community, from admin, events team, catering, housekeeping, and particularly the homemakers,
they are caring, helpful and cheerful.
Mum sadly passed away in February and the support we, as a family, have received both before and since, has been exemplary.

Richmond Manor Care Home

from Jen L (Daughter of Resident) published on 9 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our Mum lived at Richmond Manor for two years before she passed away at the age of 96. She had Alzheimer's, and when it was no longer safe for her to live at home, we were fortunate to find Richmond Manor.

Mum was very happy there-always smiling, always high-fiving everyone. The carers and staff

were friendly, and some, in particular, were truly exceptional. Her room was cosy and homely, always kept clean, and she was well looked after. The food was great, though in her final years, she mostly preferred biscuits!
They made sure she always had plenty of these while still offering proper meals.

It's a lovely environment. There was always a different space to take her such as quiet rooms, lovely garden or balcony. The café was especially sociable and welcoming.

Overall, Richmond Manor provided excellent care. When Mum passed away, the staff were genuinely sad, and some even attended her funeral, which meant so much to us. We can't thank them enough for their kindness and dedication.

Lovell Place Care Home

from J B (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 8 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

It was a battle to get my father-in-law here as he wanted to stay at home. Now he's here however he is happier, more confident and social. All his needs are taken care of by well trained caring staff who act more like extended family. Everything about Lovell Place is fabulous. All the staff from top
to bottom are great and engaging both with residents and visitors. Keep up the great work.

Thank you for your wonderful review which will be shared with all the Team at Lovell Place. Your father-in-law has really embraced his new life with us at Lovell Place. He loves his food and it is lovely to see him enjoying his cooked breakfast each day and chatting with his friends which he has made since being with us. His wellbeing has greatly improved in the short space of time he has been with us and we are hoping now the Spring is here he will enjoy more trips out on the minibus and spending time in the gardens. To receive a 5 star review is so rewarding to everyone at Lovell Place and greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your wonderful review. All the team at Lovell Place always go the extra mile to ensure our residents are happy and well cared for. I know when your father arrived with us a few months ago on a respite stay it was going to take time for him to embrace his new surroundings and life in our home and we are so pleased that he has now become a permanent resident and is enjoying the next chapter in his life with us.I am so pleased that dad went on one of our trips to the Great Western Train Museum recently as we know he has a passion for steam trains and this truly made his day very special. Thank you for taking the time to write your review which will be shared with all the team at Lovell Place.

I have nothing but praise for everyone at Newton house where nothing is too much trouble no question a silly question and above all else rhe care to mum is superb. The staff have made it their mission to get to know mum well and know she loves her jewellery for example so always have a necklace on
with her matching clothes. It definitely gives me peace of mind thank uou

Alston House Care Home

This is an exceptional Care Home. I had to move mum here in quite stressful circumstances but the Management and staff were so supportive and welcoming that I felt very reassured. My first impression was how friendly all the staff were and their enthusiasm for Alston House. Mum has now been living here
for 6 months and has settled in well and is enjoying the many activities available to her. She has made friends and really seems very happy. I particularly like the clear structure to her day and the amazing amount of entertainment on offer. I always enjoy my visits with her.

Alston House Care Home

from Jane R (Niece of Resident) published on 3 April 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our aunt was in desperate need of care very quickly and having phoned Alston House, who were so helpful and offered to show me around the following day, then made arrangements for her to come the day after. It was such a relief. We have found the standard of care and cleanliness brilliant. Every
member of staff is cheerful and helpful. Our aunt is taken out on trips, for walks and has good in house entertainments. There is great outdoor garden space which is available too. I recommended Alston House to a friend who has also moved her relative in and is delighted. Thank you to all the members of staff for your hard work and care.

The staff are friendly and efficient.
The quality of food provided is very high , and the opportunity exists to eat privately or in the dining room.
