This is an attractive welcoming home.The staff are delightful and (mostly) hard working. The food seems good and the entertainment programme is varied and interesting. Accommodation is pleasant and rooms are spacious. I would like to see them cleaned more regularly as dad's room often has an unpleasant
odour. Fortunately dad isn't aware of this and is very happy about Elstow Manor.

My mother found it difficult to accept that she needed a care home! It took her over a year to do so! Whilst most of us would like to retain our independence for as long as we can, when it comes to choosing care for a loved one there are many factors to consider. We chose Richmond Manor Care Home for
many reasons, the reasons we chose it remain true to this day. A truly well-led management team led by a very good leader, the care home manager. An organisation, in our experience, is as good as the person at the top. A generous kind kind-hearted authentic leader who takes her responsibilities professionally knowing that everyone in the home needs to be acknowledged and cared for including residents and all staff. This pervades throughout the atmosphere in the home and it is always a delight to visit my mother. The home is clean, modern and is always welcoming whenever we visit. We would wholeheartedly recommend anyone considering a care home to visit Richmond Manor Care Home, Ampthill.

I have to thank all of your team for being so very amazing, professional, caring, supportive and just so gentle in our hour of need.
It may have only been a short time we were with you, but we will never forget your warmth and kindness to our family. You will all be remembered fondly by us all.
Thank
you on behalf of the resident's dear husband, he is very broken right now, but that evening you allowed him to stay with her, did him the power of good. Also, thank you for taking the time to go that extra mile and feed us all on a regular basis. Those little things helped so very much.
Please pass our thanks to the night staff we did not meet, for caring for our relative through the night. In fact anyone behind the scenes we did not get to thank in person.

Mum is safe and well looked after despite her challenging behaviour. The staff work hard to engage her in activities and provide her needs. Everyone is always very welcoming when we visit and mum is generally happy and less anxious than she used to be.

Richmond Manor Care Home has excellent and well-maintained facilities. Even more importantly, all the staff were all caring and kind in the support they gave to my stepmother in her final days. Mum has been a resident at Caddington Grove Care Home for nearly 4 years. The staff have been wonderful. Mum has received excellent care physically, emotionally and even spiritually. Mum is a committed Christian and she has received loving respect for her faith. Mum probably only has a few days to live
but the respect and care she received means she is comfortable and peaceful. I cannot praise the staff enough for all they have done for Mum while she has been at Caddington Grove.

Mum has deteriorated in her health in the last few weeks but the love, care and respect for Mum hasn't. It has been so lovely to see Mum's face light up when a carer comes into the room. I have heard them talk about Mum with such love, care and concern, recalling memories they have at a time of Covid
when I couldn't come in. Thank you.

My Aunt had a recent stay here and from the moment we walked in the front door we knew that this was something special.
The facilities provided and the environment are faultless and so beautifully decorated.
The individual rooms are so cosy and comfortable.
My Aunt loved the food which was plentiful
and 5*.
The Management and all the staff we met were so friendly, and caring and genuinely had time for my Aunt and also us, nothing was too much trouble.
This really is a top-quality care home, providing luxury standards that set Richmond apart from other care homes in the Bedfordshire area.

Following the recent passing of my beloved husband, I would like to thank all the staff for the wonderful care he received. My husband spent 10 months at Caddington Grove Care Home and the kindness and care and support shown to him and myself from the nursing team was a huge peace of mind. All the carers
worked tirelessly to ensure his comfort and personal care with a special thanks to to one staff member in particular, a wonderful man who went over and beyond and always made my husband smile and took the time to chat with him even though my husband couldn't reply.
The admin team in reception were always so welcoming and showed me great empathy when I was quite often having a moment on my way out.
What a wonderful team. Thank you all.

Caddington Grove Care Home is not just a care home, it is a family.
My nan went into Caddington at the end of July 2024, she was frail, very immobile, isolated and possibly depressed, we'd be caring for her at home for a long time, the idea of letting her go into care was very scary.
Caddington welcomed
nan with open arms, love care and support, my frail isolated nan became happy and strong, she started interacting for the first time in years, made friends, fell in love with bingo and joined in with everything. I never expected to see this but she felt safe and that's why she could join in, all the care was given with love and a smile.
My nan was healthier and happier than I'd seen her in years thanks to Caddington.
They gave my nan 6 months of amazing memories and our family exactly the same.
My nan's last weeks and days of her life in the care home, were exactly where she wanted to be, she was happy and safe and loved by all.
I need more words than the max to really tell you how amazing they are.

My mother came in for respite care after a fall. Everyone was lovely to her. In the two weeks she was there, she was walking again, made a good friend and was joining in activities.
Only one thing could be improved - decor of rooms for respite residents, pictures on wall and cushions etc would make
it more welcoming. My mum hated the food.

Prior to my arrival at Elstow, I had been suffering periods of stress, anxiety and doubt about my ability to cope. I have been here nearly a year and have had most of my difficulties resolved. All due to the calm, patient and continuing care in sometimes the most difficult situations. We are allowed
to manage on health and welfare at our own pace, but are there for you if you feel extra support. I am very happy here and feel I am at home.

I find the staff very friendly, helpful and hardworking. Good communication overall. I recently went out on a trip with my mother-in-law, she really enjoyed it. Richmond Manor is very welcoming. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The public rooms are very comfortable and beautifully furnished with and have attractive outlooks. The coffee shop is a great place to welcome friends. The games room with its jigsaw gives space for other games. The activity room
is great for the daily yoga sessions and entertaining films. I particularly like my room with its patio door onto my own little patio space. The choice of food is good too.
