Overall Experience

My family are deeply grateful to all the staff and carers at Verwood House Care Home for the wonderful kindness and care that they show to my mother. She is happy and looked after so well. The activities are wonderful and I have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending Verwood Care Home.

Overall Experience

All staff very caring, very kind and helpful. Room is very warm and clean, most meals are appetising and varied. Decided in this 4 week respite period to now make this my permanent residence.

Overall Experience

I personally have worked in many care/nursing homes and would highly recommend Verwood House to anyone considering using this care provider.
Overall the staff first and foremost are delightful, sympathetic, and respectful in every way possible towards the residents and their family and friends.

I am really pleased that Mum has settled so well. She tells me she is very happy and all the staff are very kind and helpful. The activities offered at the home are fabulous and Mum is trying new things and most importantly enjoying them. I have found the staff to be very professional and helpful. I

Overall Experience

Perfect happy care home, with beautiful staff.
Especially the lady who made the transition from Mum's home to care home very calming.
The wellness manager is the loveliest person who helps all residents with anything, nothing ever too much trouble and most importantly makes everyone laugh.

Overall Experience

A safe comfortable environment for Mum following a stroke and dementia, caring team who look after her well with dignity. She is happy and stimulated with activities. The home is well kept and a happy environment. Nothing is too much trouble and the catering is hotel standard! It is great that they

are dog-friendly as she can still see her dog on visits.

Overall Experience

My mum needed to come down to Verwood House Care Home for palliative care. All of the team at Verwood House provided us with great support, from the management team in helping to expedite her move to Verwood, to the team of carers and support staff in providing her with compassion and dignity during

her final days.
I'd have no hesitation in recommending Verwood House Care Home to anyone looking for care for their elderly family or friends.

Overall Experience

Mum came to you after a fall and a short spell in hospital, originally for respite. She was made to feel very welcome and safe with the level of care in place. Your staff are very friendly and give the care home a 'family feel'. It has been a great comfort to Mum that her dog (along with ours) can visit

too. Mum is now a happy redient with you.

Overall Experience

Mum started living in the care home in May and since then we have not had a moment's worry. The staff are really friendly, helpful and caring. Nothing is too much trouble. They have numerous activities and encourage all residents to join in with encouragement and support. My mum is just so very happy.

Overall Experience

Collectively the team at Verwood House Care Home provided a first-rate service for Mum in the final weeks of her life.
They moved quickly to match our timelines at the start of the engagement, then without exception provided a level of care that made Mum feel valued, as relaxed as possible and at

ease in what were very difficult circumstances for her.
My family and I would happily recommend the team at Verwood Care Home to anyone else needing care for their loved ones in their final chapter!

Overall Experience

My mother has lived at Verwood House, now, since February 2024, and she loves it there. The staff are wonderful and very helpful, and the wellbeing coach does an amazing job of organising entertainment events that all the residents enjoy. I really can't fault the home or the staff in any way, and they

always make me feel more than welcome when I travel from France, where I live, to visit Mum. I would recommend Verwood House wholeheartedly to anyone who has an elderly relative needing a care home.

Overall Experience

The staff and management at Verwood House have all been extremely welcoming, friendly and helpful during my stay. Nothing was too much trouble. I came after my operation to a fractured hip. I now feel I have the confidence and ability to go back to my own home.
Verwood House is airy and bright with

a beautiful view to enjoy, making one feel at one with nature. The chefs are very accommodating, ensuring we have plenty of food and drink. I am grateful for helping me recover.

Overall Experience

This is a beautiful clean luxury care home with caring staff, it offers a homely feeling for residents and even has a therapy dog.
It has well kept gardens and also has a great choice of quality food.

Overall Experience

My health and abilities to cope deteriorated following my wife's passing away on 15 January this year, whilst a dementure patient in Upton Manor. I suffered a series of falls, accompanied by giddy spells and ended up in hospital for almost 2 months. My GP suggested respite care and as I was familiar

with
Upton Manor I opted to go there for a month which became almost 2 months.
The stay was a godsend, meeting up with a number of residents, patients and particularly carers whom I had met previously whilst my wife was resident for 15 months from October 2023 until she sadly died, having received such wonderful care and attention during her time there.
I enjoyed every minute of the near 2 months, lovely en-suite room, good food and a glass of wine, paper delivered with nothing being too much trouble.
I went home in June, with carers coming twice a day, 7.00 am and 5.30 pm and I am currently extremely happy, due in my opinion to the respite care period that helped prepare me for the big outside world!

Overall Experience

My wife and I attend Verwood House on a weekly basis with our two Bedlington Terrier dogs as part of the Pets as Therapy programme. The staff are always welcoming, smiling and positive and Verwood House is always very clean in all areas. Verwood House provides a homely environment with regular entertainment.

The residents are well cared for and often make positive comments to us about their care.

Overall Experience

My father was a resident from October to April. He received wonderful care for the duration and despite experiencing the loss of his wife (67 years of marriage) he was looked after so well. The staff were kind, loving and cared for him dearly. He in turn responded positively and although he had progressive

dementia he was happy for the short time he was a resident and often mentioned this to us when we visited him. I am so pleased we made the decision to entrust Verwood House to look after him and would highly recommend them to anyone considering this home for their relative.
