The care home is just wonderful in how they keep us informed, all the activities they do with the residents and the high level of care given. I believe any resident would be happy there and highly recommend the home.

We would like to acknowledge the manager and the team at Springvale for the consistent care they show to my brother who under the manager's lead continues to improve and enjoy the best quality of life due to the stimulating and bespoke care he receives. We could not be more grateful.

Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation

from Annemarie R (Mother of Resident) published on 4 April 2023
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My son moved over to Asbrook after being hospitalised from a catastrophic RTA in May 2022.
The staff was so welcoming and had my son's needs understood from admission.
My son felt safe and at home and still feels so privileged to be in Ashbrook.
It made such a difference to my concerns too, knowing
he is being so well cared for in all his basic and complex needs.
Nothing is too much trouble and have his welfare and dignity in all they do.
Very warm and caring and his OT and Physio are blended well into his daily routines, making it fun and rewarding, and he is coming on leaps and bounds in his recovery and rehabilitation.

Review of

Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation

from D G (Father of Resident) published on 27 June 2022
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Our son has been a resident at Ashbrook since literally days before the first lock-down in March 2020. During that time of visiting restrictions, the staff at Ashbrook were incredibly supportive. They were happy to set up regular video calls and also to arrange occasional outside visits in the grounds
of the unit.
Since the end of lock-down Ashbrook's doors have been open to us for visiting on any day at any time, we have always been made very welcome.
The Unit is well managed and staffed by an experienced team of carers, clinicians and therapists. The in-house rehabilitation facilities and professional services cover a range of activities which in our son's case include, physio, speech and occupational therapies.
The staff are friendly and approachable and always willing to address any queries or concerns we may have.
I have no hesitation in recommending Ashbrook to anyone wishing for the best care and effective support for their loved one.

My son has loved being here staff are so lovely and welcoming and I would advise anybody for their relative to be here. As they look after their residents so well. And do a lot of activities to get their residents out.

I have been satisfied with the care given at Ashbrook. The staff have always tried to be helpful even when faced with Covid 19 restrictions. The rooms are good and he has all he needs facilities-wise. It is a shame about his immediate view of the garden but budgets are tight. We are faced with having
our son moved prematurely and the manager has fought to keep him and so far so good.

Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation

from Rico T (Resident) published on 10 August 2021
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

To be fair its been amazing and the rehab and my Physio are amazing too. I came to Ashbrook In April 2021. I can fully see myself being able to walk independently with the aid of the therapists and input I receive.
I have gone from being hoisted at the hospital to now being able to walk with a zimmer
frame.
The staff are friendly and help me to go out to have meals with my friends and family which is amazing. There is equipment to help you build muscle and strength. In house, we have activities, cards, poker games, bingo, arts and crafts, basketball, darts and lots more.
The home provides me with a budget so that I can buy my own food and staff help me to cook good meals of my choice.
The manager treats you like she's your own Mum and makes sure the staff care for clients well and are on point. I have enjoyed my time at Ashbrook everyone makes you feel like you are at home. I would recommend the service to anyone who has had a brain injury and wants to rebuild their independence.

My dad has had a life-changing brain injury, and since being at Springvale, he has come on in leaps and bounds. I know he’s safe and well looked after, which is peace of mind to me. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Very clean and comfortable place for the residents to recover in their journey
called life. I’m very grateful to every single staff member who helped and takes care of my dad on a daily basis. You are all amazing people!

I have been a resident here since being transferred from the hospital in February 2020, and I’m making good progress with my rehabilitation. The staff are excellent, and I have regular sessions with the dedicated physiotherapist and occupational therapist.

Review of

Ashbrook Neuro Rehabilitation

from Raj C (Partner of Resident) published on 28 January 2021
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My partner suffered hypoxic brain injury following a routine operation that went wrong. After months in a coma, and then a very slow recovery in hospital, including months in Critical Care and then at a specialist neurological ward, he transferred to Ashbrook three days before the first COVID lockdown
in March 2020. We chose Ashbrook because of its warmth and sense of family. It is a small unit and it strives to be homely. In a world without lockdowns, I would be able to stay overnight and bring our cats there too. In the challenging times of lockdown, the team have done brilliantly - arranging garden visits for me and my partner’s mum, dad and brother. They’ve facilitated regular FaceTime chats for me, and they have excellent staff who have made my partner and me feel part of their family. It’s an amazing place with amazing people - great care, great therapy an overall brilliant place for us - and a step towards my partner coming back home to me and the cats!

Ashbrook has always been a lovely welcoming place, to not only my mother but all family members, I feel I have a really good connection with the team leader and some staff! The hard work they do daily for my mum is unbelievable. From the first visit, I knew this place was the one. They have been very
supportive towards family! Definitely recommend for a loved one.
