I am very happy with the care my mum receives at the home. She is very settled and is starting to join in with activities more. The care, the staff show to Mum is really good. She is always clean and tidy as is the room and environment. When Mum needed to go to the hospital for a check-up the staff
there said how good her skin care was.

Tudor House Care Home has greatly improved since the current manager has taken over. More activities in the last few months, something that had almost disappeared. My mom seems a lot happier in recent months as she had started to feel down with no activity interaction.

I have visited at least four times a week and found the staff very nice and helpful. The two activity coordinators are excellent, and the activities the residents take part in are very varied and interesting.
My husband is looked after very well, and the food from the staff in the kitchen is excellent.

My mum was placed at Windsor House for emergency respite care and so I had no prior expectations. From the onset, the staff there were exceptionally professional, kind, compassionate and keen to get to know her despite it being a short visit. Whether by phone or in person all staff demonstrated to me
that they understood and could engage with mum. I witnessed staff singing with her and she was happy and relaxed. Although I did not see activities they were advertised on a planner on the notice board. The physical building does need some TLC - unkept grounds belie the care inside. Equally more stimulating facilities would be welcome inside. I will not forget how each and every member of staff come to say goodbye to mum with a hug and a kiss. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

After a recent change in management, the overall standard of service/care provided has improved.
Staff are friendly, management approachable and the care given to mum is much appreciated. They follow safeguarding guidelines and always contact me if they are any concerns. The home is clean and tidy,
the rooms are basic and functional. The food is good. The care is the most important part of the package.

When Mom was discharged from hospital on end-of-life care, I wanted her to spend whatever time she had left at home. Due to factors outside of my control, this proved impossible. I was very apprehensive and upset at the prospect of looking at nursing homes for her. Choosing Tudor House proved to be
the right decision. The manager, was more than happy to show us around, before we made the decision of which home to put our trust in, to look after Mom. We had a good feel about Tudor House after our visit; seeing the staff and having the manager answer our questions. Mom was only there 5 days before she died but she received the best of care. It was obvious the staff they employ are following their vocation in life rather than being there just "because it's a job." I cannot fault the professionalism, care and compassion shown to my mom. I thank all who were involved in my mom's care, and for doing everything possible to make her passing pain-free, comfortable and dignified.

My brother has lost a lot of weight since he has been at Tudor House. He suffered from gout and watches what he eats but they keep giving him food which is not the diet that he wants. He is over six feet tall and his diet is mostly baked beans and eggs so no wonder he has lost a lot of weight.

Thank you for your feedback about Tudor House Care Home. We appreciate you taking the time to give feedback and let us know how we are doing.
Dining is an important and enjoyable part of daily life in our home and we take great pride in providing delicious and nourishing meals for all our residents. Our menus are created with feedback from residents and reflect their likes and dislikes. Residents have a food passport to capture any particular dietary requirements or wishes in relation to food or the serving of meals. There is always plenty of choice on our menus, however, if they feature something that is not to their liking, residents are able to request an alternative meal or order something from our Chef’s special menu that day.
Our Home Manager will be happy to discuss your concerns in more detail on your next visit to the home, however, if you would like to discuss this sooner, please do get in touch. Thank you again.

I was looking for palliative care for my mom. Having spoken to the deputy manager and having been allowed to visit and look around, I felt confident Mom would be in good hands. Any questions I had, or if I just wanted to discuss anything in the early days, I always felt I could approach the manager
and she would always ensure that either she, or the nursing staff would do their very best to accommodate us. All aspects of covid safety were adhered to, at all times and the staff were very friendly and caring both to my mom and myself, especially on days where it was harder to deal with Mom's condition. Sadly Mom was only here 7 weeks, before she passed away, but her final days were made as comfortable as possible and I thank the staff for that, especially the manager, who went our of her way to help Mom adjust and cope with her situation. Thank you all.

My dad became a resident in Windsor House in April, after spending a few weeks in a community hospital where he was bedbound and needed 24 hours nursing dementia care. Quite understandably we had major concerns putting him into a care home, but once we visited Windsor House, we were immediately put
at ease by the wonderful staff so we decided to give it a try to see how he settled. On our first visit, we were amazed that dad was walking without assistance, he was dressed, clean and above all else happy. It was such a relief to see him, as we hadn't been able to see him prior to this since 5th Feb when he was taken to hospital (due to Covid restrictions). We were almost dreading seeing him for the first time, but we were so happy to see the loving care and dedication of the wonderful staff, and the way my dad interacted with them all - it was amazing. We can't thank the team enough for looking after dad - you are all wonderful, we are so grateful for making him so comfortable and dad again.

Mum praises carers, food and accommodation but management seem unresponsive and communication is impossible when no one answers the phone. We have not been offered any video link which would be a godsend at a time when normal visiting is not possible. A whole afternoon trying to call the home and mother’s
personal mobile without any pickup.

Thank you, Susan, for taking the time to leave us feedback on your experience with us. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional service, so we are disappointed to hear that you feel this is not the case in some areas.
Whilst communication and visits have been limited, family are welcome to request video calls with their loved ones. We kindly ask that you contact the home to do this, so that we can arrange a time that suits everyone.
We have taken all your comments seriously and see them as an opportunity to improve the services we provide, so will contact you to discuss these further. If you have any more concerns, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Thank you again.

We recently needed urgent palliative/end of life nursing care for my 94-year-old Dad. After some research, I phoned Tudor House. A member of staff took the time to listen and understand our needs and, even on a bank holiday weekend, offered to contact the off-duty home manager. Within 10 minutes, the
manager called, agreed that Tudor House could accommodate Dad at short notice and talked me through what they could offer. He was incredibly kind, generous with his time and supportive, and I instantly felt we had found the right place.

Everyone made a fuss of Dad and put him at ease. As it was end-of-life care, we were able to visit under strict COVID-19 controls and were looked after by kind, cheerful and supportive staff every time. Dad's bedsores eased, and he was noticeably more comfortable. When the end came, he was treated respectfully, and again, the staff rallied around to support us. I would not hesitate in recommending Tudor House to anyone else in similar circumstances.
