Jasmine Court Residential

Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My mother-in-law moved to Jasmine Court in early March. Having been living alone since her Alzheimer's diagnosis, it had become apparent that she was no longer safe on her own and we started looking for a suitable home for her where she would feel cared for, and loved. We visited lots of homes and
Jasmine, by far, was the one that we felt was the right environment for Mum.
The manager and the whole team made moving Mum into the home so much easier by helping us through the process every step of the way. All the staff show us every single day in their actions and behaviours that we have made the right choice and we would not want to move her anywhere else. The whole team are like a family and this extends to the residents living in the home - we couldn't ask for more.

My Mum was moved to Jasmine Court (from a temporary placement) on the 13th March 2025. The manager and the team have made this process easy, fluent, and as comfortable as possible. For Mum, my wife and I, the process was one filled with many issues and questions, all of which were dealt with in a
timely, professional, and sensitive manner. The care Mum now gets is excellent.

This is a lovely care home. My Aunt is well cared for, her room is lovely. It is always clean and warm, although we once found her duvet had no cover and labelled clothing has gone missing a few times - quite common across the care sector.
The food is plentiful and looks more than adequate.
The sandwiches
aren't always great, not much filling, but the soup always smells really nice.
My Aunt will not leave her room, but staff are always popping in and out with drinks and to check she is good.
Her health is well monitored and medically she is well cared for.
Staff are warm and friendly.
The Managers are approachable and responsive.
All in all it is a good place for her to spend the last years of her life and we have no concerns at all about her well-being and safety.

My Mum is very well cared for. The staff are friendly and patient.
There are lots of different activities going on each week to keep the residents minds active and bodies agile. A lot of singing, students from the local school go in and do activities with the residents as do toddler groups.
Staff
arrange social activities for families and friends as well as residents and have fund raising events.
I am very pleased my Mum lives there.

After a hip replacement in June 2023, my mum started with vascular dementia. It was full on (and not slow). In October 2024 we decided to have full time care and placed her in The Rivers, The Croft, Knottingley. My mum passed away on 06.02.2025. All the seniors and carers were absolutely amazing. The
care and attention and love, may I add, that they showed my mum was phenomenal. This pace really is home from home. We got close to the people who looked after Mum. Truly like family at the end of Mum's journey. Thank you all so very much.

It was a difficult and upsetting situation how my grandma ending up needing care. The support and reassurance the team gave us was so

My father joined Kingfisher Care Home in December 2023 - followed by my mother in January 2024. They both receive exceptional care. My father died in March 2025 and up until that time was treated lovingly and with utmost respect and dignity from all the staff, domestics, chefs, carers - my mum continues
to be cared for at Kingfisher - the support she gets from all the staff is amazing - she is not coping well since my Dad died and is offered the exact amount of support and sympathy. Our mother's 98th birthday celebrations were made really easy for our family and special for us all by the extra special care and consideration given by wonderful staff who once again went above and beyond what we could have asked for. We had only recently learned that relatives are welcome to join
their loved ones for a meal and we were delighted that the 6 of us adults would be welcomed for mums birthday dinner. The staff had put up lovely decorations to enhance the event and we sat as a family in the dining room on our own table, with other residents nearby. The meal was excellent and the wonderful chef had gone out of his way not only to provide one vegetarian meal but a fully gluten free sweet for us all which was delicious. We were welcomed to take a special birthday cake for mum and were pleased the other residents could share that with us. The price for the meal was very reasonable, and its presentation and taste excellent. Thank you so very much on behalf of us all.

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. We're so happy you were able to enjoy the meal together and that the decorations, food, and the special birthday cake added to the celebration. We're also delighted that the chef's efforts to accommodate dietary needs made the meal even more enjoyable. It's always our goal to go above and beyond for our residents and their loved ones, and it means so much to hear that you felt that care on such an important occasion.Thank you again for your heartfelt feedback, and please know that it was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful celebration. I have found nothing but respect, professionalism, friendliness, humour and support from all the staff (without exception) to my sister and myself as a visitor. It's lovely to see her happy and well and engaging with so many, although she does like chatting to the staff. The activities, especially pet
therapy, are great. It's also nice to have a chat with the resident dogs who we are slowly making friends with. Facilities are kept wonderfully clean and nothing appears to be too much trouble whilst carrying out an exceptionally demanding job.

My wife has early-onset frontotemporal dementia. She is only 64 and has been a resident at Kingfisher since July 2022. I have always been happy with the care she has received and the way they have adapted her care plan over the years to meet the decline in her presentation of the illness. Any concerns
I have had, have always been listened to and satisfactorily resolved. She is well cared for and, although she cannot communicate, seems to be happy. The staff are great and really do care for the residents. The place is constantly being cleaned and is well maintained. The food always looks good and the menu is varied. I've had Christmas dinner there every year with my wife, and it's been really nice. I have no hesitation in recommending Kingfisher Care Home, it has certainly met our needs.
