We couldn't be happier with how well my grandma is cared for by the team. They're so very caring and supportive, not just of my grandma, but with us as a family also. It was a difficult and upsetting situation how my grandma ending up needing care. The support and reassurance the team gave us was so
greatly appreciated. And 3 months in, the proof is in the pudding. My grandma is in better health and spirit than I've known her for a long time. THANK YOU!

My father joined Kingfisher Care Home in December 2023 - followed by my mother in January 2024. They both receive exceptional care. My father died in March 2025 and up until that time was treated lovingly and with utmost respect and dignity from all the staff, domestics, chefs, carers - my mum continues
to be cared for at Kingfisher - the support she gets from all the staff is amazing - she is not coping well since my Dad died and is offered the exact amount of support and sympathy. As a family - we are made welcome and also offered excellent support and always a friendly and listening ear to any issues.

Our mother's 98th birthday celebrations were made really easy for our family and special for us all by the extra special care and consideration given by wonderful staff who once again went above and beyond what we could have asked for. We had only recently learned that relatives are welcome to join
their loved ones for a meal and we were delighted that the 6 of us adults would be welcomed for mums birthday dinner. The staff had put up lovely decorations to enhance the event and we sat as a family in the dining room on our own table, with other residents nearby. The meal was excellent and the wonderful chef had gone out of his way not only to provide one vegetarian meal but a fully gluten free sweet for us all which was delicious. We were welcomed to take a special birthday cake for mum and were pleased the other residents could share that with us. The price for the meal was very reasonable, and its presentation and taste excellent. Thank you so very much on behalf of us all.

Reply from Emine Tekis, Home Manager at Eagle View Care Home

Thank you so much for your kind and thoughtful message. We're so happy you were able to enjoy the meal together and that the decorations, food, and the special birthday cake added to the celebration. We're also delighted that the chef's efforts to accommodate dietary needs made the meal even more enjoyable. It's always our goal to go above and beyond for our residents and their loved ones, and it means so much to hear that you felt that care on such an important occasion.Thank you again for your heartfelt feedback, and please know that it was a privilege to be part of such a meaningful celebration. We look forward to continuing to provide excellent care for your family.

I have found nothing but respect, professionalism, friendliness, humour and support from all the staff (without exception) to my sister and myself as a visitor. It's lovely to see her happy and well and engaging with so many, although she does like chatting to the staff. The activities, especially pet
therapy, are great. It's also nice to have a chat with the resident dogs who we are slowly making friends with. Facilities are kept wonderfully clean and nothing appears to be too much trouble whilst carrying out an exceptionally demanding job.

My wife has early-onset frontotemporal dementia. She is only 64 and has been a resident at Kingfisher since July 2022. I have always been happy with the care she has received and the way they have adapted her care plan over the years to meet the decline in her presentation of the illness. Any concerns
I have had, have always been listened to and satisfactorily resolved. She is well cared for and, although she cannot communicate, seems to be happy. The staff are great and really do care for the residents. The place is constantly being cleaned and is well maintained. The food always looks good and the menu is varied. I've had Christmas dinner there every year with my wife, and it's been really nice. I have no hesitation in recommending Kingfisher Care Home, it has certainly met our needs.

Collected my dad Christmas Day, notice provided he was going out Christmas Day. One shoe on wrong foot other shoe missing. Pooh in his sock and T-shirt.
Nappy full wee. Not shaved or teeth brushed. Pooh crusted on his fingernails.
This is not the first time he has been found in this mess.

Reply from Jamie Holmes, Home Manager at The Rivers

Hi, we value all feedback good and negative in order to improve our service. The safety and care for our residents are paramount and I am so very sorry that this has happened. I have completed a full investigation into your concerns and upon reviewing the care notes for Dad he was supported with a shower that morning along with oral care. It is stated in his care plan the amount of support he needs with personal and continence cares due to high levels of incontinence on a regular basis. I am sorry that at the time you came to collect Dad, he had become incontinent. I have taken swift action with the staff team. I have also referred this to CQC and local Safeguarding. It would be beneficial if concerns are also reported to me in the first instance so I am able to support you with any concerns. I have not been made aware of any concerns previous to this. Please refer to our complaints procedure visible in the home. I have an open door policy and I am always happy to assist. Kind regards

My mother had a fall in her flat and as a consequence, ended up in hospital for a month. My sister and I tried to look after her in her own apartment upon her discharge, but due to the fall, it had accelerated any dementia traits she had and we couldn't cope. With no notice, Eagle View were able to
admit her into their care. Every member of staff have been extremely polite, caring and compassionate. Nothing is too much trouble and mum is extremely well cared for. Outstanding on all fronts.
