Review of

Fulwood Court

When we found Fulwood and saw the standard of the flats available, we thought it was the perfect solution for us because my mother wanted to maintain her independence in spite of increasing fragility. When my mother moved in she didn't need care, although she was struggling with taking her medication,
but shortly afterwards she fell and broke her hip. This seriously affected her ability to look after herself and on her return from hospital we arranged a care package with Fulwood. This was done quickly and efficiently, so my mother was able to feel safe while struggling to walk again. The staff do their best to fit around my mother's needs and they provide a great community atmosphere, which makes it much easier for my mother to accept that she needs their help. In fact, she regularly tells me how good, and nice, they are. The only reason I haven't put excellent for the management is because there have been a few hiccoughs with head office, not at Fulwood itself.

Review of

Fulwood Court

from Alison W (Cousin of Resident) published on 4 April 2017

Fulwood Court seems to be the only service in this district to supply a one or two bedroom flat in a complex where all levels of care are available as required. The building is well maintained. The care is well organised. On the whole, the carers do a good job, though the level of understanding of the
needs of the elderly is variable. This often correlates with the age of the carer. I have found all members of staff friendly and helpful. A good programme of activities is available but residents choose whether or not to participate. To have such a programme of care, tailor-made to the needs of the individual, comes at a cost. It is not cheap.

Fulwood Court

I cannot fault the care that my dad received while he was there. All the staff are of the highest quality and he was treated with the utmost consideration and affection. My father was treated with dignity and respect by all the staff and the range of activities organised was absolutely wonderful. ALL
those connected with Fulwood Court should be very proud of themselves and my family and I will always be eternally grateful.
