Lovely feeling to the home when you walk in. Manager goes above and beyond in every aspect of care home and residents. My husbands room is clean and comfortable, the food is excellent, I know this first hand as when my husband first went into care he wasn't eating, the manager asked me if I would have
lunch with husband and he now eats both dinner and dessert. Staff are friendly and welcoming and I am more than happy as to how he is looked after.

Mam has lived here for over 12 months now and I could not be happier with the care she has received/receives from the first week she moved there. Mam had lived at 3 previous places and did not meet her needs. St Helens staff are so caring and approachable, they really do care and put the residents first,
great interaction and many activities happening relevant to each individual, person centred care at its best. I have no hesitation in recommending this place of residence for your loved ones.

The care home provides a good standard of care for my aunty. She is now settled well and feels safe, warm and cared for. If I ask staff for anything that needs attention or that I'm worried about, the response is usually quick and clear. Management and staff communicate well. Looking forward to using
the outside area (garden). No doubt this will need some attention after the storms.

My brother was transferred to Riverside View from hospital after a fall which resulted in a fractured pelvis. From the moment he arrived, he was greeted with respect and friendliness by all the staff. He had great care and nothing was too much trouble for the staff whenever anything was required.

On entering the care home there is always a warm, friendly greeting from all the staff. I find they all work so hard looking after the residents. The food looks lovely and is always well-presented. There is often fundraising to collect money for charity and the home. Overall I am very happy with the
care my Dad gets and pleased we chose Langley Park Care Home.

My uncle was in, he just died. He was looked after so well. Our family was so grateful for the best care he got. Every one of the staff were so kind. He was so happy with his stay at St Helens Care Home, he loved going in the garden when it was sunny and they had fairs and things on with the music on.

Our father came to Langley Park care home at the end of May 2024, and he absolutely loved being there. The staff are so friendly that he wished he'd come earlier!
He particularly enjoyed Fish and Chip Friday and the freedom he had to order his own things online, which gave him a degree of independence
that he enjoyed.

My Dad has been in Langley Park since the beginning of June and is now a permanent resident. I have to say how grateful I am to the wonderful staff who care for him.
Dad was slow to settle and took a while for him to leave his room. He now visits the lounge daily and tells me the staff works very hard
and he couldn't manage at home now. He likes the food. I find my visits (3-4 times a week) are very pleasant and feel quite at home myself. Everyone is so friendly.

This review does not relate solely to October but to every day my Dad has resided at Langley Park Care Home. All of the staff are very friendly. The carers go out of their way to make sure the residents are looked after to the highest standard. They always have a smile on their faces and make time to
chat to us when we come to visit. All of the other staff members from the receptionist, the managers, cleaners and activity coordinator are all lovely lasses. It wasn't an easy decision for us when the time came for Dad having to move into a care home however I am pleased we chose Langley Park Care Home. Even my Grandchildren love the place and take great pleasure in chatting to the residents when we visit.

Overall I had a great experience.
The bathroom wasn't cleaned properly when I first arrived. The food requirements wasn't fully catered for. All staff were excellent. I was made to feel so welcome. The main complaint was the cleanliness of the kitchen in the residents' dining area, the microwave,
toaster and kettle were dirty, filthy until they got a new one and the inside lid of the kitchen bin was never cleaned, it was filthy.

Reply from Jackie Brook, Care Relationships at Grosvenor Park Care Home

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We're really glad to hear that you had a positive experience overall and that our staff made you feel so welcome. However, we sincerely apologise for the cleanliness issues you encountered. This is certainly not the standard we aim for and we'll be addressing this with our housekeeping and kitchen teams to ensure it doesn't happen again. Your comments are very important to us and we appreciate you bringing this to our attention so we can continue to improve. If there's anything else we can do, please don't hesitate to let us know.
