Carlisle court is beautiful too look at but is not fit for purpose, there should be more money spent on staff who are qualified and care instead of furniture and decor..could not and would not ever recommend this service to anyone, was never so glad to get my father out of it.

Weavers House

from Janet S (Daughter-in-law of Resident) published on 4 March 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

My relative was treated with dignity and respect from the moment he became a permanent resident in Weavers House. The staff were very dedicated to care provision and in the latter stages the care he received was second to none. The fact he was able to remain in the home and not have to go to hospital
was a huge relief to us as a family. Any changes in condition were relayed to us in a timely fashion and we were involved in all decisions. If I could move this home and the staff to where I live we would have done so, we had an opportunity to move my father-in-law closer to home but we decided not to due to standard of care.

Reply from Gabriela Ciurea, Manager at Weavers House

We were extremely honored to have looked after your father-in-law and have you as the next of kin. We would like to extend our utmost thanks for taking the time to provide us with such important feedback and a review.

This care home is 5 star. As a family, we were very nervous as we had never had a family member placed into residential care before. The staff are so welcoming and engaged. You are always fully filled in of any instances or situations that may arise straight away. The staff's compassion towards residents
shines through everyday and the care given is second to none. From the care assistants, care team leads and senior management everyone is polite, proactive and positive at all times.

Magherafelt Manor

from E M (Daughter of Resident) published on 31 January 2025
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

Mum has been a resident in Magherafelt Manor for almost 5 years and their care has been so dedicated. The staff have all been very good in their care of Mum, but 2 members, in particular, have been involved in Mum's care from her first day and they are exceptional individuals. They know her so well
- when she is not herself, when she needs extra pain relief, when she needs a wee lie down or a cup of tea, and they have looked after her through those difficult days when she has been agitated and needing reassurance.
When people come to visit Mum they comment on how clean the home is, and how attractive the surroundings and rooms are, as well as the friendly staff. We are very glad that we got Mum a place here, and as Mum's condition changes it is comforting to know that they have her best interests in their planning.

Overall I am very satisfied with the care and attention my father receives in Weavers, there is some wonderful staff (you know who you are) who treat my father like family for which both my sister and I are truly grateful, one small issue we do have however is the laundry, clothing seems to disappear,
eventually some items turn up again, everything is labelled, this is the only frustration I have as the food, care and attention cannot be faulted. Thank you for taking care of our father.

What an amazing home-from-home this place is. Patients are well cared for by genuine caring staff who put the resident's needs first. Clean and friendly environment with activities daily. Wouldn't want my loved one to be placed anywhere else. Not an easy decision to place your loved one in care but
Magherafelt Manor gives you peace of mind knowing your loved one is being cared for properly with high standards.

I have visited three people on many occasions over the last several months. Each time, I have been made very welcome by every member of staff. Whenever I had any queries/questions for staff they were always dealt with quickly. I cannot praise and thank the staff enough, as they always showed love, care
and compassion for everyone. The lady who is manager was always willing to help in anyway possible, with a welcoming smile.

My father was a resident in Carrickfergus Manor for just over 1 year. We were very happy with the care and attention that he received. The staff were very kind and spent a lot of time chatting to him and learning about him. They kept us clearly informed and seemed to be very fond of our dad. He enjoyed
their company and their laughs and jokes. I have recommended Carrickfergus Manor to other people based on our experience. Thank you so much for all you did for our father, we appreciate that very much.

My husband has lewey body, frontotemperal and Alzheimer's dementia and has been in Carrickfergus Manor since October 2023 to date. I have at all times felt a genuine lovely, caring attitude with staff - towards my husband and empathy for visitors. They are consistent and not high staff turnover. My
father in law was here six years and many still remember us and him to this day. When my husband was in hospital, carers phoned us to check on him and worked miracles to help him walk again. I have volunteered in care homes and visited a lot but never seen activities and music like Carrickfergus Manor - amazing.

Weavers House

from Kelley H (Daughter of Resident) published on 23 October 2024
Overall Experience  Overall Experience 5.0 out of 5

I have nothing but good things to say about our experience with Weavers. The staff were so warm and welcoming when I arrived on the first day with my Mum and I immediately felt reassured. The simple fact that they photographed Mum's clothes and possessions made it clear that they value the residents
as people with their own preferences and style. The activities provided by the activities coordinators were brilliant and so well thought out. Eventually, my mum stopped engaging with the group activities but I enjoyed seeing the residents smiling and dancing. The parties are always great fun. As my mum's care needs increased, the staff were so patient with her, particularly as she struggled to swallow. They also supported me and other family members with care and respect when we were spending time with Mum in her final days, and for that, I am so grateful. I would encourage anyone considering a care home for their loved one to choose Weavers. The standard of care is second to none.
