Unwelcoming to the patient, the attitude towards family was dreadful. Care was non-existent and they were unable to handle the situation. Upon leaving we took her straight to the GP to have her checked over.

My uncle was at Pine Lodge for a number of weeks before going to his forever home. He always appeared very well looked after. All the staff there very always very friendly and helpful. A very big thank you to all the staff for taking such good care of him.

Pine Lodge is absolutely amazing, the staff are so friendly and helpful, they have been there for me through some really bad times, I would never want my daughter to go anywhere else, she loves everyone there, they do a lot of activities and take them out, best place ever 10 stars from me.

My son attends Pine Lodge for respite every month, he has autism and special needs, and he loves it there! He's always asking to go, the staff are kind, patient and friendly and he's always happy and safe, they make his stays fun and enjoyable and we can relax knowing he's well looked after, thank you,
Pine Lodge. You are a lifeline for us!

Very poor, one staff member, its her vocation to keep ringing up all the time with excuses, so in the end you go and collect your daughter and break the care down to 3 days max. This is not happening just once, it happens every time you access this service. It is supposed to be a break for parents but
that's not the case.

Reply from Jade Mason, Registered Manager at Pine Lodge

Thank you for taking the time to bring your experience to our attention. I am deeply sorry you feel this way and you have had a negative experience. Our aim is to provide the best possible care to those we support and it is something we take very seriously. I can provide assurance that your daughter appears to enjoy her time that she spends with us at Pine Lodge. Unfortunately due to issues outside of our control there are times when staff have a Duty of Care to contact yourselves or an alternative emergency contact if family member becomes unwell or requires assistance from other health care professionals and in turn this is why unfortunately some respite stays are shorter then expected. Once again, we are very sorry that you feel the experience did not meet your expectations.

Mum was moved from Hospital to Thackley for rehab and assessment. Adult Social Care and the Thackley care staff have been exemplary in their duties, and she is now moving forward in her progress. Thoroughly recommend this facility.

Staff are rude!
It feels like jail.
All they care about is the money!
They are not very nice to my own staff. Well, to one of the managers, you know what, no one is perfect not even you honey!
Very poor service. Would highly not recommend.

After a visit to the hospital, Mum who is 85 was lucky to be accepted at your Care Centre to convalesce and gain her confidence in which she did.
Thank you all so much for everything that you did to help mum. Oh and by the way mum thoroughly enjoyed the meals.

This place is amazing. All the staff are professional and extremely caring. My Mother has been here for three weeks and is so settled she calls it home. It has the right balance of care, leaving the residents feeling safe but with a level of independence. The atmosphere is lovely, everyone is made
to feel so welcome. My Mother is a very fussy eater and is catered for very well. Would strongly recommend, really can’t fault it here.

Although this establishment states it provides specialist care for people with dementia I would completely disagree.
My father regressed drastically, staff are not adequately trained. My father suffered a broken arm and had multiple unwitnessed falls during his thankfully short stay.
Multiple concerns
raised which were not addressed effectively.
Do not consider this establishment for anyone you love or care about. Shockingly poor treatment. Poor management and leadership.
I do not expect this review to be printed as I believe the home cover up inadequacies
and the group are ineffective at listening to constructive criticisms.
