My Dad suffered from dementia and sadly passed away on the 26th of March, through the time we were at his side from early in the morning until 3,4 in the morning during this time the staff made sure dad and the family who stayed by his side had teas, coffees and sandwhiches all hours of the day, their
care and love for Dad was evident, some members of staff even came in on days off just to check on him and us.
Through out his time at silver birch over 2 1/2 years, they made him welcome and comfortable, if there had been any health concerns or any incidents during the day we were always called and made aware of anything we should know.
I can not thank the staff enough for the care and devotion to Dad they showed throughout his stay ,right up to his passing. The job they do is emotionally draing to see patients decline the amount my Dad did in his last weeks, and my heartfelt thanks go to everyone who looked after him. One carer came in on her day off and noticed he needed a shave, she stayed and did this for him.
I would highly reccomend Silver Birch.

Both my parents went into care at Silver Birch at the end of Sept 2024 , I have nothing but praise for the level of care and help they have received since the start of there stay , sadly my Dad recently passed away but the Management and staff could not have been more caring and considerate to not only
my Mum who sadly has Dementia but my family , the manager is very approachable and will do her upmost along with her excellent staff to help you on any matter that arises, overall a excellent establishment that I would highly recommend to anyone looking at care homes,

My mum went into Silver Birch Care Home for a 10 week respite period. She settled so well she has decided to become a permanent resident. The kindness she has experienced is amazing, the same can be said for the support and how she is treated with dignity. My mum is 96 years old and originally went
in with a broken collarbone, she has made a speedy recovery and now enjoys all that the home provides.

Following a few years of hospital and care home stays which had been stressful experiences, my husband moved to Grand View, where he was a resident for the last 3 months of his life. The whole staff team made it a peaceful, happy friendly experience for both him and his family. The care could not have
been better and he felt safe and cared for. As a family, we could not have asked for more in the way that we were also treated. The nursing, care and management teams went above and beyond in all areas. I cannot thank them enough.

If you need nursing care stay away from this home.
Lots of management changes over the last five years tells a poor story. We had issues with bank nurses. We had multiple events of incorrect meds. We had multiple issues of late delivery of time critical meds leading to multiple visits to hospital who
raised safeguarding issues.
In the end the home said my daughter was too complex (read trouble) so was not allowed to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We genuinely value feedback from our residents and their families, as it helps us improve our services. It's important to us that all residents receive the highest standard of care, and we take reports of any issues very seriously. We continuously work to improve our staffing and training processes to ensure that all care needs are met promptly and accurately. We appreciate your disappointment that your daughter could not return to Grand View, however, our goal is always to provide appropriate care for each individual's needs. We value your feedback and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your concerns further, please feel free to reach out to me directly if you would like to talk more about this.

My Mum has been a resident at Silver Birch for over a year. The manager and staff have always been very friendly, helpful, understanding, and caring to Mum and the family. I am very grateful for all their hard work. Not to mention Mum's 90th Birthday recently, the staff went above and beyond to make
Mum's day an extra special day. It was so lovely seeing her singing, dancing celebrating with the other residents and staff. Thanks to the chef for making a lovely cake which Mum thoroughly enjoyed very tasty!

Good quality support by well-trained staff. Accommodation is simple but comfortable and well-maintained. The food is appropriate and variable. I arrived with fairly low expectations but I was quite impressed by the effort constantly evident.

Aspen Manor is an outstanding care home in every aspect. It does not have the look or feel of a conventional home and looks more like large apartments on the outside and a modern 5-star hotel on the inside. My mum (who was reluctant to go into any home) loves it at Aspen Manor. She is treated like family
by everyone and has made some great friends. I have seen how well my mother is cared for and she always sends positive texts about how well she is looked after. Her only slight critique has been about the selection/quality of the food. I would recommend Aspen Manor to everyone.

Dad was at Aspen Manor for less than 5 weeks. We visited multiple times a day and witnessed such genuinely caring people working there. The receptionists always gave us the warmest of welcomes. The senior nurses showed real care and kindness, they went above and beyond and were always on hand. The wonderful
carers went to such great lengths to encourage Dad to eat and drink, which must have made a massive difference. The activities team often came to check on him and us, despite him being unable to partake in any activities. The brilliant and kind maintenance, housekeeping and office staff made an equally positive impact and we know the night and kitchen staff did so much behind the scenes. That so many came to offer their condolences after he'd passed away was incredibly comforting. It was clear they all cared greatly. I visited 18 homes before I found Aspen Manor. I'd been dreading moving Dad, the care he was receiving in hospital was excellent and the home he'd been at previously hadn't cared for him well. He settled in brilliantly and was so happy there, its outstanding staff, superb food and first-rate room and facilities.

My mum has been a resident at Silver Birch Care Home since May and from the moment I met the manager I knew this was the place for my mum and dad. The manager was warm, welcoming, compassionate and understanding and confirmed this was right for both of them. All the members of her team are so friendly
from reception through to carers and on every visit, I am greeted with a warm welcome. Sadly my dad only had a short time in there after entering after several hospital stays and passed after a short stay but the care he received with them was faultless. After my dad passed they supported my mum and the care and compassion were fantastic. I can't thank three members of staff in particular enough for their continued support, kindness and understanding they continue to give my mum and the peace of mind I have in knowing my mum has the best care.

The care my father was given was excellent. The care, compassion and understanding demonstrated by the staff helped reassure my father that he would be happy at Aspen Manor when he first arrived, and this continued for the fifteen months he stayed at the home.
In his last few months, the attention
to detail in making sure he was always comfortable was obvious and greatly appreciated by our family. I highly recommend Aspen Manor.

The home is very friendly and welcoming. We find the care given to my mother and father very good and the staff are very caring. We are always informed when there are any issues.
However, we would welcome a regular update on my parents' well-being and care. Currently, we have to ring or speak to
the home to find out how they are doing and what treatment they are receiving.

Staff are very professional and attentive from the receptionist all the way through to the cleaners. The Customer Relationship Manager is very approachable and hands-on, taking any queries on board and acting effectively.
Mum has settled well and appears happy and content. As a family, we can relax
knowing that she is being very well looked after. Aspen Manor is very bright, clean, hotel standard, modern, and a pleasant environment for the residents and their families when they visit, they even have a play area for the kids!

Every member of staff I have met at Aspen Manor Care Home has been kind, thoughtful, helpful, friendly, and attentive. Nothing is too much trouble. They clearly care about the residents - and not just day-to-day care - but about getting to know them, what they like, what helps them, what makes them
happy, and listening to their story. There is genuine affection when talking about those in their care.
I was also greatly touched to see the staff treating everyone with dignity. This extends out to the families. Navigating finding the right care for a loved one is distressing, and they worked with us with such empathy, they made a stressful and unsettling time much easier. Any issues are dealt with instantly and with sensitivity and thoroughness.
My own personal highlight was having a member of staff take time out of her day to locate some dairy-free milk so I could have a cuppa with my mother-in-law without triggering my allergies. Such small acts of kindness are invaluable.

I visited my aunt and was blown away by not only how lovely the home looked but also by all the staff. It was welcoming and friendly, the reception area was thriving with residents and family members drinking and chatting which was lovely to see and be a part of. The food and service was second to none
and nothing was considered too stressful. I would highly recommend this lovely home and stipulate that all staff from reception, cleaning, kitchen, management and nursing are all awesome and will all go out of their way to not only welcome you but help you.

Aspen Manor is a bright, modern care home with various areas for residents and visitors to enjoy. The bedrooms and bathrooms are cleaned daily and residents become part of a caring, well-run community. The staff on reception understand the needs of the residents and cater accordingly. By 5pm the "front
of house" staff finish and the evening staff have less knowledge of needs.

Our dear mum became a resident of Grand View around 6 weeks ago - the hardest decision of our life but one that we had to make. My sister and I turned up unannounced for a viewing and we were warmly welcomed and shown around. Compared to other care homes in the area there was no contest. The Grand View
team from top to bottom really do care about the resident and the family. We have needed lots of support as a family as we get to grips with other people doing the job that we really want to do ourselves. Everybody from the manager (with an open door policy), the management team, to the wonderful carers and more are clearly all recruited for being good eggs and nice caring cheerful people. This is a tough industry where families are demanding and residents more so. If there are problems or difficulties the Grand View team will deal with them professionally and compassionately. My sister and I thank them all for helping us through the toughest time of our life. Keep up the good work.
